This place has gone from bad to worse, this is for the la mesa location only. Every time I come here I get rude service and hidden costs. Went in for a pro rate tire replacement on a tire that was 1 years old, the guy quotes me $48 total, I asked about the military discount and he says its for online only then says Im not going to argue with you about it and says he applied it but then the price jumps from $48 to $68. I asked what happened and he said he forgot a charge, baloney! I left and went to the discount tire in El Cajon where I always get great service and I am out the door for $46 no questions asked. Moral of the story? Dont do business with the La Mesa Discount tire.

Called them up for a balancing issue I had with some tires I bought and got a appointment same day. The technician was able to correct my issue and said 2 of the tires were way off from where they should be. Took my car for a test drive and am happy to say they resolved my issues. Going forward if Im getting new aftermarket tires Ill be buying them from discount as their employees are very knowledgeable and knew what needed to be done.

These guys are the best. Had a nail hole in my tire found it at 3:30 pm. Called them up got there right away. They took care of me and got me out by 5pm. Plugged hole sent me on my way. NO CHARGE !! I will from now on be there customer. Thanks guys.

From BAD to WORSE and then AMAZING!. These guys really came through for me. I purchased two tires from these guys and when I picked up my truck I discovered a broken stud on my rear wheel. At first I was not happy (BAD) with what I found however, when I brought this to the attention of the store manager he immediately went into action and sent my truck to a shop in near by to have the repair done for free.So when the other shop began working on my truck they discovered my rear brakes were metal to metal and called me to inform me. Then the shop owner also let me know that during the inspection they miss placed a part to my rear brakes and could not locate it. (WORSE) I received a call from the manager of discount tire soon after and he said not to worry about the missing part and that he and the other shop would cover the cost of a new brake job and replace the missing part. (AMAZING) The next day I picked up my truck with new brakes and tires. I am very happy even though we had a bumpy ride everything has been smoothed out. Thank You Discount Tires.

Got a flat tire Friday night. Decided to take to it to Discount to see if I could get a used and somewhat cheap tire until I could get the money to buy a good one. I got to Discount about 15 minutes before open on a Saturday. I was getting freaked out because people were starting to show up and I felt it was going to be busy. I was right, but I was helped so quickly. Quin was amazing! He listened to what happened, explained all the options, checked for my warranty, and I only paid $12 for a new tire! From there, it only took about 20 minutes to get my new tire installed and in that time, I was checked on and reassured about the process of my installation. I felt at complete ease and it didn’t take long at all considering a Saturday morning and I was taking care of my young niece. I like the Discount close to me, but I might consider changing based on this wonderful customer service!

Unusually poor experience, normally these guys are on it. Had to ask multiple times to have my spare put back where it goes. When they finally put it back, they asked to use the tools from my car to put it back. When done, they also just threw those in the back of my car, instead of putting them in their proper place where they got them. Would recommend choosing a different location.

My phone wife made an appointment for four new tires, which definitely reduced the waiting time. I checked in and discussed what we had chosen with the sales rep, paid, and they got to work. All told, slightly more than one hour from beginning to end. Lots of covid precautions in evidence, and a comfortable waiting area outside.

Jeremy is the absolute best! We didnt have an appointment (which is recommended) and needed a new tire and on a budget. We explained our situation and he immediately helped us, already had a solution. He even took care of our labor cost because of our situation! He was so personable and so down to earth, I literally told him Im coming here for everything from now on because of his service. Guy was the person who did the work for my tire and he was so awesome also! He knew exactly what he was doing and was quick about it. Beyond grateful to the staff here who were all so sweet and went the extra mile to help us. Thank you!!

Ive been going to Discount for 25yrs and have no intention on changing. Especially now that they check and adjust your tire pressure for free. Being able to drive up and have it done, without leaving your car or being charged, is great!

Got 4 new tires under a week my tire light came on 3 of 4 sensors broke??? You replaced sensors and under week tire light back on!

They are always busy and you do have a wait but once they get to you its quick. I had to wait 1/2 an hour but when they got to my car I was out of there in 8 minutes. The people are friendly and courteous. I have been going to this location for years and have only had good things to say about them.

Covid procedures were still in effect the day I went to buy new tires. I had no appointment, was told to wait in my car and someone would come out to help me. Waited about 15 minutes when the salesperson, Quin, came out and got all the information he needed. We then when into the sales room and as I already knew what tires I wanted, it took less than 15 minutes to complete the purchase and set up an appointment to do the installation. I saved $300!

I had a flat tire about a week ago while at a friends house. Discount tires was the closest location I could think of to get the tire fixed. It was late at night so I was able to get enough air in there to get me to that location. I got a ride home and returned in the morning to do the paperwork and get the repairs started. When the associate finally got to me and checked out the tire he told me that they were not able to repair the tire because the hole was too close to the edge of the tire. I showed him that the hole was actually right in the center of the tire and there should be no problem patching it. He again repeated there was nothing they could do about it. He suggested I purchase another tire for $109. My first thought was to have the car towed to somewhere else who could patch and repair it for me but I decided to purchase the tire and just let it go. After the tire replacement was complete I asked them to put the old tire in the back of my car and I took it to another discount tires in imperial Beach. They told me there that it would be no problem patching that tire. It just needed to be on a rim. I feel I was totally taken advantage of because I could not move my car to a different location and the agent at that discount tires in La Mesa just wanted to sell me a new tire because it was much more profitable than patching my existing tire. I am very disappointed with this discount tire location and I will never return there again and I would advise others not to shop there either

Mr. Gil Garcia (the Store Manager) was extremely helpful and answered all my questions and concerns regarding the purchase of my tires (Pirelli P Zeros). In addition, Mr. Clayton Llewellyn (Customer Service Specialist) did a phenomenal job in helping me and provided me with great customer service. The company definitely prioritizes customer service and hires knowledgeable people in order to take care of their customers. My daughter and I stopped in to get some air in my tire...no biggie. But, the employee who helped us was hilarious! Sweet, funny and talkative. He even had his Santa hat on. It was 12/14/20 at around 12:45pm. Anyway, whoever he was he deserves a promotion!! Keep up the great customer service !!!

Ive been going here for over a decade. The service is great, the people are knowledgeable, and the pricing is very good. It is possible to get tires cheaper some place else, but not with the coverage and service that you get here. It is also possible to get the coverage and service, but not for as low as Discount Tire charges. They keep my service history in their computers car by car, so I can go into any location nation wide and the guy can see everything related to the tires I buy and the mileage Im putting on. They fix flats, guage my tred and fill my tires for free. Will they try to upsell you - yes, but theyre low to no pressure (more informational than incentive based) and they only sell tires that they will warrantee. Think of it this way, and this is only my perspective, but the most important part of your cars suspension and handling and the thing that goes into action BEFORE you get into an accident is your tires. Nowadays, cars are designed to last really long before needing to be looked at or serviced. The ability to stop shorter, turn tighter and run over an extremely varried range of terrains (especially here in Southern California) means were putting our cars through more than we ever have before - but tires are made to be sacrificial on purpose. So, if our attitude is that we dont need to fix or check something until theres something to worry about... that only covers about 80 to 90 % of your car. By coming in to get my air checked every 1 to 2 months, Im keeping my tires in a different place in my mind, they get the proper priority and my car can now operate within the tolerances it was designed to which equals a greatly reduced chance of problems. One last thing: Im not talking about any other place here, but spending more money on tires means longer lasting tires that perform better. Ive learned this lesson the hard way and honestly, when I dont have the money or would rather not spend more, I buy cheaper tires. I know I shouldnt, but sometimes I do it anyway. Thats why I dont go anywhere else - because the worst Im going to do at Discount Tire is well within the tolerances needed to keep me on the road and running and THAT is where I make money, take my family places and keep everyone safe.

I find needing an appointment for a flat repair absurd. I surrendered to that, made a 10 am appointment. Was praised and thanked for arriving 10 min early. Only to get my tire repaired 55 min.later. Appointments only favors them, not the customer. Strange world we live in now !

I Highly Recommend Discount Tirein La Mesa!!!1st time customer, but my mom always buys her tires from them, and goes in frequently for air checks, and she is always treated great by the Employees.I bargain shop for everything, so when I needed tires for my car, I did the same...I ended up finding that Discount Tires had the best price even with install, flat repair, mount and balance on install, and balance and rotation when needed.... Even beating other stores prices/sales that had buy 2 get 2 types of, so called deals.I went in on a Saturday afternoon, and was greeted by Jimmy, who was great, and ordered my tires from another location (which I already knew had to be done, by checking online), and he set up my appointment for install for the next day. I got a call at 8:15 the next morning from Jeffery, telling my tires had arrived, and set up my appointment for a specific time of my choosing. I went in, Jeffery welcomed me, and got the mechanics on my car in no time. Thanks to the installers great service as well, they had my car done in about 20 minutes even though the place was packed with customers. Jeffery rang me up, and I was out the door with tires installed, the best price I could find, and GREAT customer service.Thank you to ALL the Employees at La Mesa Discount Tire, for their fast and hard work, and again, their GREAT customer service, which is very important to customers.

Ive have always taken my car to Discount Tire since I was 16 years old from my grandpa. I have never had any problems with the service there and the guys are always willing to help and are very informative. They also stand by theyre found it lower price. So if you find tires and the total cost is lower than what Discounts will be they will honor that but you have to have proof of it. I think that is a great attitude to have and everyone is super friendly and willing to help. I will definitely be going back in the future. I even think youre getting a better deal there than at Evans Tires. (Labor, waste, and other fees). So check them out and I hope you have the same good experience I had!! =)

Jorge mounted and balanced my tires. After putting the weights on, he rechecked to make sure each tire balanced at 0. I have had Discount guys fail to recheck the balance in the past.

Top Notch Customer Satisfaction. 2019 Toyota Tacoma. Had a problem removing my lug nuts with aluminum embedded in the threads on the nuts. This team is really amazing. Every single person was extremely kind and caring. The service requested was done promptly and done well. Hit or miss with discount tire. Id say overall a good experience, with some exceptions.Last visit, they ruined 7 of my wheel locks. Had to use a file to grind down the metal so the lock adapter could fit back on. Took probably 2hrs to fix. Id imagine they are working too fast, being careless, damaging peoples stuff because they think no one will notice.And today I saw them remove a red painted spare tire cover from a Rav 4, and just lay it face down on the ground. It was a painted cover and they just scratched it all up like no one would care.They have already scratched my wheels several times.

We dropped off the car and they took care of the rest. They even put the spare tire in its compartment in the trunk! Truly satisfied!

I was there for a free air check on my tires. There was a little line, like 3 cars before me. Not too bad, I think I waited like 10-15 minutes. The guy was nice and explained how the tire pressure and wear was on my tires.

Every sales person there this morning was rude. I suggest going somewhere else. It’s still a good company just go to a different store.

If I could give them a Half star might have been more accurate. Not to give the Lemon Grove location more work, but you will immediately see a grand difference. Where the Grossmont location failed, Joe and Moe Excelled @Lemon Grove Discount Tires. 🤩🤗

My store is discount tire la Mesa they always do a fantastic job across the board service the amount of time to get in and out of there is very minimal very professional organization I have never shopped anywhere else for tires in the last 25 or 30 years

Great experience. They fixed my flat a few weeks ago for free and now I came in to get a new set of tires. James was great, quick...friendly...and not pushy at all. Plus I got a few rebates which made the experience that much better!

Ive been coming to this location for many many years. The crew has changed over a few times, but the service is consistent. Like everywhere, some people rock and some suck but I have NEVER left unsatisfied. I cannot say that for all of the Discount Tire locations I have utilized over the years. There are locations that I wont go back to, but this review is for the La Mesa location. Keep up the good work guys!

The La Mesa store was much more thorough than a different location I went to yesterday. Make an appointment if you have to but come to this store if you can.

Had just what I needed.

Been coming here for years, friendly staff, efficient, and helpful advice. Free tire check and air fill without getting out of the car. I usually get out and remove the tire caps so it goes a bit faster since there may be a couple of cars waiting. Either drop by and wait or make an appointment, either way, your tires will be serviced by some of the best staff!

I purchased 2 tires, was given a wait time and sat down. The team got me in and out under the estimated wait time and I headed to the grocery store then home. Somehow, within 5 miles of driving on my new tires, one of them went completely flat. I was able to get back to DT and Ryan assisted me. Ryan and the team were able to take care of me within minutes and sent me on my way with another new tire. Crossing my fingers I dont run over another razor blade, however, if I did, I am confident this group of guys can fix it. Thank you so much!

As always, spectacular service. Since I knew which replacement tires I needed I ordered and paid for them online, and scheduled an appointment. Showed up at the proper time, tossed them the keys and went around the corner to get a haircut. Before the barber could brush the hair off my shoulders I got a text that the car was done. And this was on President’s Day with a lot of customers being helped. Add to the equation Discount’s followup air and rotation service and I really can’t imagine going anywhere else.
