I brought in an old and battered graduation ring from 1971, it was broken in half, unwearable and barely recognizable as a graduation ring in the first place. After being repaired it now looks brand new and absolutely stunning! The people who work here truly have experience in their profession and it’s obvious they take pride in their caliber of skill. I took my ring in to be repaired. It was due to be rhodium dipped. The last place I took the ring to for the rhodium didn’t do a very good job. My ring had a yellow color after. I took it back and it was still yellow. I was concerned that I would have the same problem this time. NOPE! It was perfect! I’m so happy that my ring finally looks sparkling new again! Gemstone Designs is the very best! I took them a ring I had purchased years ago for my late husband along with my engagement/wedding rings. Ron designed and made a ring with the stone from my husbands ring and some of my wedding ring stones. The ring is breathtakingly beautiful and a perfect tribute to my late husband. When we were working on the design for my ring, I saw a bracelet with my birthstone and loved it. Ron was able to adjust it to make it fit my small wrist. They are by far the most outstanding jewelers I have dealt with anywhere!

We purchased a stone prior to coming to Gemstone Design. The jeweler was very helpful in assisting us design the perfect setting for the stone my wife had chosen for her ring. Did a custom designed engagement ring and wedding band. They came out wonderfully and the price was much more reasonable than I would have thought for a custom piece. My fiancee was set on a bypass setting and is allergic to many metals, so we had to go with platinum and must places just dont have bypass settings in platinum. Theres no reason not to stop in and get a quote.

Bill helped me with resizing my ring- he was both professional and very personable- my ring was ready sooner than I expected and that made me very happy- while I was there I looked at what they had in the store and I loved their work- going frwd it’s definitely going to be my to go place with any jewelry work- I highly recommend it.

Note to self never remove the ring from your finger. My ring was dropped in a parking lot, not knowing that it fell, I went about an hour an a half without my ring. After looking at three different cities for a jeweler I finally stumbled upon this place. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a friendly smile. We came to get my husbands wedding band resized and fixed, ended up having them check our two watches and getting my wedding rings polished and re-rhodium. While working on our watches my ten year old son and Bill had conversations about gems. My son a beginner gem collector was enthralled in learning and talking about his favorite pastime. It’s this attention to detail and personalized service that will keep us bringing our precious valuables here. My son has made a friend and we have found our jeweler.

They were very considerate of our needs and interests when buying our wedding jewelry! And it was done in a very timely and considerate manner, even updating the earring backing to something more secure for long term wear. We loved the range of available stones (lab grown!) and styles to choose from.

I had repairs to a chain done. I also took a bracelet in and ask about repairs but was told it was probably fine. It was less than a week later that the bracelet broke. The repair to the chain was definitely late and I had to ask that the pendant be cleaned and put on the chain. I wasn’t ask about w pieces being cleaned. The service was probably ok for some bust not for me. The necklace was purchased from your store. I have been a customerW at MarkIns for over 20 years and have always had excellent service there and will continue to shop there for selection, cleaning and repairs, and always the quality.

I always try to find a jeweler that has hand-made items along with standard items. I was an Art Ed major in college who was planning to make jewelry my main focus but that was all put on hold when I was specially invited by the President to join the Army. This jeweler was very professional in repairing my items.

The guys here were just fantastic. I came to them with a design, and they said, No problem! I had been to other jewelers in the Knoxville area, and they all kinda hemmed and hawed, and made a big deal about it. The other guys all quoted us about $500-$1000 above Gemstone! Gemstone even got it done and to us before they originally said it would be done, and my fiance was able to surprise me with a proposal on my birthday! Best present ever! It was my dream ring come true.

It cost slightly more than an internet search indicated it should but was worth it to have the work done on site. We went in looking for a green sapphire to match some earrings for my anniversary. They went above and beyond to find a stone I wanted, then they also got me the setting Iwanted. My husband was happy with the price and I am very happy with the ring .

Had lost one of the diamonds surrounding my sapphire stone come out. Ring had special sentimental value--husband surprised me with the ring while cruising and at a port in St. Thomas. I was devastated. Gemstone replaced the diamond and tighten up the prongs and cleaned the ring. Done in a timely manner and very reasonably priced. They now have a client who will drive from Oak Ridge to their shop--and I have found a friendly, reliable place for my jewelry purchases and repairs.

Went in to check on getting my husband’s wedding band buffed and shined because it had a lot of scratches on it- they did it for free, on the spot, and it looked brand new! This is after I went to the place I originally bought it and was quoted a 1 week turn around and ~$35 price or $47 for same day and I still would’ve had to go back to get it. I’ll be coming here for any of my jewelry needs!

We went in with a not very clear idea of what we wanted for a ring, but within a few minutes they were able to help us narrow down exactly what we wanted. They’ll work with you to find something within your budget, too, if that’s what you need.In our case they ordered several different stones from their supplier and let us look them over in person before going ahead with creating the band. They create custom rings and other jewelry and have tons of years of experience designing jewelry.Overall, the whole experience was very smooth. Any complaints we had were addressed, so don’t be afraid of mentioning something you’re not satisfied with. They do a great job here of ensuring you’re satisfied with the jewelry you buy.
