Superior experience! The entire process of purchasing my car was almost 1.5 hours, maybe 2 because we walked to get some lunch. The salesman, finance manager, and the receptionist were all professional and genuine. No hassle, AT ALL!!They had just what I wanted, low mileage, warranty & service for vehicle lifetime(as long as I own it), and some much appreciated and unexpected “bells & whistles!” I most certainly will purchase from them again!

BUYER BEWARE! After negotiating a deal for two days on a vehicle for my 80 year old parents with the sales team, which included the on duty sales manager working that day, I was notified by my salesman that the vehicle had been sold to another buyer. I was told by two team members the car would be sold to me. Another set of buyers and their salesman contacted an off duty sales manager who happened to be friends with the customer. This off duty manager dismissed my deal and approved theirs. I was told the other buyer had placed a deposit on the vehicle, left the dealership to go home and get their trade vehicle in order to try and REACH a deal. I HAD a deal. I wanted to put down a deposit but was told the deposit was not needed... The deal was made. My parents were in route to come and pick up their vehicle when they received a call from me telling them They are selling the car to someone else. What occurred was not only UNETHICAL, but DISHONEST. Unfortunately, the biggest loser was the salesman, Ron Bowks, who worked diligently and spent much time researching available vehicles and showing the vehicle to my father. Thank you Ron. The other loser is Barton Ford, who lost my parents, who have previously bought from Barton, and generations of their family and friends who will not do business with Barton Ford. Winners, my parents, who found another vehicle and were treated like a customer should be, at Cavalier Ford.

The service department is horrible. So horrible Id rather drive to vb for service or even not buy another ford. Ive had my car for a few years now and never in that time have I had a good experience there. Even with simple oil changes. I have had so many issues with them I have forgotten some. Advisers NEVER call back or give updates on when something will be done or if its going to take longer than expected. Wrong parts have been ordered when they had my car to visibly see what part needs replaced. Ive been told they fixed things that they did not. Another part wasnt put on securely which ended up coming off in the middle of a 500 mile drive. Therefore I had to get a 250 mile tow on my own dime. I take my car in to get something fixed and leave with something else going wrong. Ive had many more issues over the years but there communication is definitely the worst part.

Just bought a used Chevrolet truck from Barton. Felt a vibration in the vehicle, they told my wife it had to go to the Chevrolet dealer to be repaired. Why did I waste my money with a service agreement and I had to pay for a diagnostic check. Shouldnt the dealership be checking these vehicles for malfunctions before putting them on the lot? Once the vehicle has been repaired it will not touch Barton Ford grounds again.

Customer Service is very courteous and welcoming. But I was very surprised by the service team, because I was not called about my service request until after I had called the center myself. This led to a very trying time of arranging a way of picking up my vehicle and waiting for the part to be ordered before I can return to have the service completed. This is the 3rd time that this has happened to a member of my family and I am wondering why it continues to occur.

Overall great service and experience. The Ford app notified me to schedule routine maintenance and I did via the app. App provided several choices (such as dropping off or staying/waiting) and provided a range of time slots. Arrived for my service time and was greeted by the service team who took care of me right away. Was able to work in the waiting area which was very clean and quiet. My vehicle service was completed and returned to me within the hour as promised. Great Staff, Great Service.

Barton Ford was the most wonderful car buying experience. I went and saw Randy Bailey in hopes of buying a new truck. Because of Mr. Bailey I walked away with so much more than I thought I ever could! He and his associates treated me like I was a friend, a daughter, a sister.....part of the family. Excellent work by Mike in installing a trailer brake controller. He & Steve are two awesome & experienced mechanics. Take your truck to them and you know the work is going to be done correctly and professionally. I drive from VaBch to Suffolk just for those guys to work on my truck.Only down side of going to Barton is the pricing. Parts are extremely expensive coming from a Ford dealership and the labor rate was about $220 for an hours worth of work. Otherwise would have been 5-stars.

I found a Transit Connect online at Barton Ford in Suffolk, Virginia. We traveled from Ohio to Virginia on Friday to purchase the vehicle on Saturday. Working with Barton Ford was the best experience I have had as far as working with car dealerships. We had our truck serviced here two times, my suv once, 2/3 experiences were horrible. We had our truck in for an oil change and tire rotation, we went to pick up the truck. No one did an oil change, only a tire rotation, so we had to wait at 4:00 pm for them to change the oil, after the truck had been there since 6:00 am.When I picked up my SUV there were two receptionists aggressively yelling at each other about another customer.

First time at the Ford dealership. I had a list of things to get looked at. I appreciated the shuttle service so you didnt have to wait there but if you do have to wait its as comfortable as possible. They have a lounge, quiet area with wifi, kids area (needs attention), and an area with a tv. Comfortable if you have to wait. I wish my car would have been looked at a little quicker. It was there for 4 his before it was even looked at but they were incredibly busy...lots of people in and out. Every employee I spoke with was very polite and professional. All in all a good experience for a car dealership.

Deceptive. Make sure you read every document. Make sure you take everything their financial and sales department says with a grain of salt because once the sale has been made you are no longer important. They do not keep their word nor honor commitments made prior to sale. A year after sale, Im stuck with a vehicle thats slowly falling apart and 0 help from barton ford. Whatever you buy, buy your own separate guarentee elsewhere. If you can, I suggest taking your business elsewhere. GET EVERYTHING THEY SAY IN WRITING AND READ IT TWICE.

Went to Kaeley and got a great deal on a used 2015 Ford Escape Titanium (in red!). The whole process was easy, straightforward, and without any of the stereotypical dealer headaches. The finance manager was also very helpful, and not pushy in the least. They even have a 1950s diner-themed lounge (with a small movie room) to wait in, in the duller moments. I couldnt have asked for a better buying experience!

It was my first time to Barton Ford. The staff was friendly and the waiting area (a diner lounge) was comfortable and had tables where I could work. They even had free wifi.I enjoyed my time and they had me back on the road in no time. I am a first time Ford owner, and I only wish they’d throw in a complimentary wash/vacuum before I left. My old Honda dealer did that every time I came in for maintenance and it was a nice touch.I’ll be back again in the future.

Service is sorry. Outrageous prices.Told me I needed brakes front and back. Priced else where only needed back breaks fixed. And 600.00 dollars cheaper. They also tried too push all other kinds of unnecessary fluid changes. Dam shame the only Ford dealer in Suffolk that crooked. I wouldnt buy any vehicle or service from them ever again.

DO NOT GO HERE TO BUY A CAR!!! I had to put 5 stars so it would be at the top.A friend and I drove an hour to see the blue 2017 ford focus RS on the lot. When we walked in we were told there were two other people that had seen the car that day and they looked as if they couldnt even afford a moped. We were told without starting the financing on the vehicle were we not able to take it for a test drive however we were able to start the vehicle on the lot. After sone research on this kind of vehicle we found there was a headgasket recall, that didnt show up in the carfax. We discovered later that the recall was repaired but not shared with carfax. When we talked about this recall with our salesmen he started going on and on about how if there was such a recall that it would show up in the carfax and to stop worrying about such things. looking at the car from 5 feet away it looked normal however the the passenger back light was messed up and cars Unibody appeared shifted to the passenger side with some spots where the paint looked a different shade of light blue we started to think the vehiclewas in an accident and wasnt reported as well. After our experience at this dealership I will never send someone there to even buy oil.

I highly recommend the Service Department Team for outstand customer care and friendly personalities. The garage is top notch. I had my truck back on the road like new in two days!

1st experience...make an appt to bring the van for the recall repair. Upon picking it up, assume all is good and leave as nothing was said to me regarding anything different. Van still doing the same thing as I pick up some speed...look at repair sheet to see that they did NOT fix. They didn’t have the parts. Even tho I made appt almost a week prior.The attitude when I called to question this was pretty irritating. Especially since they were aware I was leaving in 2 days to head up to New England. She said it would be fine.Which it was but was a little worse upon return.Make next appt for a week + out.Get a confirmation all set to go....the next day get a call saying have to postpone because parts not in. Call back to yell about this just to find out that was a mistake. The parts were in.2nd appt. Go and wait for 3 hrs while repairs were made.Look at repair sheet and it looks like they did repair by god!Leave and ....STILL DOING THE SAME THING.Upon calling this time basically was told that they did the front part of drive shaft and I should have requested more.Sad part is...I did in writing when making the appt online and verbal of what it was doing. But that went ignored. Obviously it is the rear section of the drive shaft causing the issues.So I’ve waited for the service person who I was told would call me back, for 2 days....and still nothing.I know repair shops are busy but sure would make sense and good service for someone to drive the vehicle after to see if truly fixed.Done.And I was even thinking of getting another smaller Transit van from them. Nope.Between the attitude, the confusion within, and the plain lack....I do not recommend them even for a recall fix.

Incapable of diagnosing my F350 6.7 radiator failure twice now within 15k miles. Was told I needed a third radiator in 72k miles to diagnose the issue and that they do them all the time and thats a normal thing, but not a design flaw. Had radiator replaced with a mishimoto TIGd aluminum after factory failed @ 55k and also failed within 70k. Will never take any vehicle there again. Incompetent and immoral.

Came on for state inspection. Long story short I was not able to make an appointment as I usually take it elsewhere. However, my mechanic passed away recently and I didnt know. Not only was Barton able to get my car in to be inspected I was in and out in less than 90 minutes!Will see them again for anything they can help me with. I don’t recommend working with their sales department. I called on Monday to find out if they had a tire I needed in stock. They did not but stated they could order it for me and get it here in a few days. I confirmed twice with him the tire I needed. He attempted to transfer me over to the service department to schedule installation and twice patched me to an invalid number. The front desk person routed me properly and I got scheduled for service today (Friday).I arrived and told them I was here for my appointment and informed them which tire needed to be replaced. About 20 minutes later, someone came back and asked me which tire needed to be replaced. Over an hour into my visit, the service department informed me that they didn’t have the right tire for me. On the bright side, at least they inflated my tires for me before returning my vehicle.

I had a great experience with this visit with Barton Ford Suffolk service department. I was able to call in and schedule an appointment for an oil and filter change that was very accommodating. I was satisfied they were able to perform a multi-point inspection on my vehicle. My only issue was I didnt receive a phone call letting me know that my vehicle was ready for pick up and it was parked in the puddle of water from when it had rained earlier during the day. Overall I was satisfied with the curious service I received checking in and cashing out with the cashier.

I recently made my fifth vehicle purchase from Barton. One of my previous purchases, a Mustang, had close to 350,000 miles on it and experienced very few problems with it.My last two vehicles, were sold to me by Fred Riddle. Fred is another great team member, in addition to all of the other Barton team members that Ive dealt with in the 15 or so years that Ive been a customer!Fred got the deal done quickly and helped set up my phone on the sync system. He also went over all of the features on my new Taurus.Ken Henry worked through all of the financing details quickly and efficiently. I had purchased a 2019 KIA Sportage LX AWD from salesman Randy Bailey for $13899. Pretty good experience over at Barton Ford and I will go into as much details as I can.I have found this SUV through cars.com when scoping out on getting an AWD SUV after a West Virginia trip changing up my vehicle needs. Ive been doing this search since Summer as an on and off type of hunt.Then around early January, I spotted this Sportage (as I narrated down to either getting a RAV4 or Sportage) through cars.com on this lot.When using Kelley blue book and trying to get the value of how much these things would go for (Assuming 2019 year, one owner, clean one owner carfax, 44,000 miles, LX trim, and AWD), you can expect to pay around 16k to 17.5k.Being $13899, I was skeptical at first, but Randy did allow me to take it to one of my certified KIA technicians. My technician showed a clean bill of health when they did their analysis (except for the rear tires needing to change out). and this shows that even a car that was sitting on the lot for several months could still be worthwhile to look at (but do make sure you know what youre getting with mechanical knowledge and technicians help if coming from a dealer dealing with a different brand)It look like Barton Ford wanted to get rid of the KIA (because its not a Ford) and ran several specials on it (even before my technician check up appointment) to cut $4000 off the price. Though quite at mileage on a 2019, I was happy to take up on that offer for a SUV that can fit my rugged needs.As for the buying process, it started at 9:30am to 12:30pm. Randy helped me out with a good strategy for a low APR loan and down payment along with getting me my own insurance without a hefty cost. The rest of the staff were also friendly. Also there is a nice Americana (50s) themed lounge.If to make one suggestion, I recommend adding car preppers (or salesman minions) to help with the speed of getting vehicles ready for customers well the salesmen can help with multiple customers and while the customers are distracted with the financial department to save a bit of time.Over I had a pleasant experience with Barton Ford, even if a Ford was not involved in this purchase. Definitely worthwhile to keep an eye out for rare gems.

Fred Riddle was our salesperson and was straightforward, accommodating, and was very knowledgeable about the vehicle. They charged us $300 and didn’t fix the problem. They sent us home with an open sunroof and said they couldn’t do anything about it for a month. My husband fixed it when he got home from work within 2 hours. I will never do business with these crooks again.

First impressions have a big impact. I stopped in late yesterday afternoon to look at a slightly used Nissan Titan, after having a very negative first impression experience with a salesman at Beach Ford earlier in the day, and walked out.All the staff at Barton Ford were extremely pleasant to work with, especially the Manager (sorry I can’t remember your name or if I got your job title correct!), and my salesman Devin Bantin. On a very cold evening he quickly got the truck ready, and had someone else appraise my trade-in while we were on the test drive. Devin worked out an acceptable deal with me in very short order, and the dealership planned to detail the truck and change the oil before I returned today to complete the deal.During the test drive, Devin was quick to acknowledge my feedback that the truck had a shimmy at speed, and he had the tires balanced (which solved the shimmy completely) before I picked up the truck today. The Settlement Manager, Ken Henry (two first names), got me an outstanding finance interest rate, and quickly fixed an error he discovered. Before I left, the dealership realized there was only one remote, and planned to order me a new one.I’m a “Boomer” and have bought a lot of cars in my lifetime, and this was one of the smoothest, stress free vehicle purchases I have had.Thanks guys!

Barton Fords Service Team is proactive, and always went the extra mile when I took my Escape in (for whatever reason). The head of the group, Tracey, was very knowledgeable and helpful and always made the experience as pleasant as possible. She shared information that was helpful in decision making - always a plus. Ford is AWESOME! My Ford SUV is about 10 years old with approximately 200,000 miles and it’s still in great shape. And I owe that in part to Barton Ford (shout out to technician “Clyde” for being so phenomenal). Their recommendations are right on and they offer coupons to lessen the price blow. The prices are quite high but the quality of service is excellent. I’ve even been advised when I can wait on service if it’s not an immediate need. Overall, Barton Ford has been amazing and I am definitely planning to purchase another vehicle (an Expedition) very soon.

Came in to drop off car for appointment the next day when service manager asked if I could wait 20 minutes. I did and she had the car done, saving me a shuttle home and ride in the next day. Have had many cars and many brands over the the years. With but one exception, this dealership and specifically this service manager and department are the best Ive ever seen. Barton Ford worked with me to satisfy my needs with the purchase of my 2016 Ford Edge. I bought a new 2018 F150 truck last September and was please with the service so I went back to purchase another vehicle. Salesman Ken Fleming did everything I asked to make both deals work. Barton Ford offered Incredible service. A very accommodating and professional organization. But, Barton Ford, as a company, is only as good as its people. Tracy, the Service Manager, was extremely caring and competent when we were traveling and had pickup problems. She helped us get our F-250 diesel repaired and back on the road in under 6 hours! And, Kyle, the diesel technician, is incredibly knowledgeable! He took the time to explain every detail of the repair and give us information which will probably help us avoid a similar mechanical problem. Barton Ford Sales specialist Randy Bailey is awesome to work with. He spend almost all day with us, looking at trucks and answering all of our questions. He made us both feel like he truly cared about us and wanted to make sure the decision we made we could afford. He did not just sell us a truck to be selling it. He had our best interest at heart.
