We loved this dealership. Unfortunately I had to have unexpected emergency surgery, and was unable to close the deal we had planned for the next day. I am honestly just now at a position in my recovery where I can write a review. Our salesman was Mike Conboy. Super sweet guy, and made the deal happen. Unfortunately due to the severity of my surgery, and the long recovery period a car just isnt an option for us right now..as I am unable to drive until well after the 1st of the year. The entire dealership was kind, courteous, and willing to work with us. I have nothing negative to say. I honestly felt like they were being fair, and doing right by us. I am bummed about the vehicle, as I did love it. Unfortunately my health had other plans at this moment in time.

Had a great experience with Duke GMC in Suffolk. Friendly staff no rush or pushy sales tactics. Best of all no mark up on new vehicle inventory!!!! Even got a military discount. If dealers take advantage of you now in this current market, it truly shows how they do business and they are not to be trusted. Take your business to Duke and let those other dealers with 5-10K mark ups over MSRP close up shop.

Joe, the service representative, that I dealt with was amazing. He was extremely polite, upbeat, and very helpful. I don’t think I have dealt with someone as pleasant and genuinely helpful in a very long time. The rest of the staff, I dealt with with a little less than Joe because he was my main contact. They were also very helpful, polite, and genuinely helpful. We are all dealing with so much these days, and working with your service department made it all go away. The focus was on me and my car!!!Please thank them for me!!

Went and traded our truck in and worked with STAN. He was very accommodating and was great to deal with. Was willing to work around what we had in mind and answered all my pesky little questions with never a sign of irritation, even with it being near closing time. Would highly recommend that anyone that swings by ask for STAN for your car/truck needs.

You will not find a better service team in Virginia, period! William Roberts of Duke Automotive was one of the most helpful, responsive and professional technicians I’ve had the pleasure of working with, and the circumstances with my vehicle were very unique. I purchased my Yukon from an unassociated dealership in Richmond who gaffed on properly submitting the certified pre-owned documents to GM (which would have covered some of the service work), and they then made the situation worse by poor communication, shortcuts and unforced errors. I could not drive the vehicle off the lot because the service was brake related. This issue went unresolved for OVER THIRTY DAYS!! Though these problems were not caused by Duke Automotive, William called and worked on my issue each and every day and was finally able to get things resolved for me and my vehicle repaired. As a consumer, I’ve never experienced such a stark dichotomy of automotive service and support. I truly wish I had purchased my vehicle from Duke if William Roberts is any example of the dealerships values and character. I don’t know where this survey will be posted or who might read it… but if you’re looking for a vehicle or service department that will go the extra mile, then you want to visit Duke Automotive. Bought my car from Jonathan back I’m June. Very professional and easy to work with. Wednesday my car started having some issues between working with Jonathan and Nancy in service they got my car right in and put me in a loaner. Wasn’t expecting my car till next week with them being short staffed but in just over 24 hours they called had diagnosed the problems, gotten parts, and had me ready to pick up. Joe was my advisor very nice and professional at check in and check out. Thank you Duke for the amazing service!

My husband was looking for a new Silverado and after not finding much at other dealerships in the area we decided to check out Duke. There was one truck left on the lot that matched what my husband was looking for, so we checked it out. The truck was exactly what he wanted and we were so happy that we were able to do business with Duke. Our salesman was Mike, and he was great overall. Not the slightest bit pushy or just trying to make a sale. We enjoyed working with him and if I was also looking for a new car I would come back here and work with Mike. Unfortunately I’m not, but I hope to do work with him in the future when I am. All of the staff that we worked with and talked to were so friendly and nice and we never felt pressured into buying the truck. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

When I called Duke automotive I spoke with Karen, who was very pleasant and willing to help me with bringing my Suv in right away. After having my car for a few hours I spoke with Wille, who was completely knowledgeable on what was wrong as well as what was needed to resolve the issue. The parts employees need a little more training on personality! Not friendly over the phone or in person at all, very little help and will only answer a question if YOU ask.I went there to pick up an order and the guy from the service department was extremely nice and he told me to go to the parts department and even walked me to it, I feel this nice gentleman needs to train the crotchety men in the parts department. Just sayyying 😞

Seriously, I expect more from a place presenting themselves as top in customer service. I get my vehicle worked on and now the radio doesnt work. I had a battery changed and when I picked up the vehicle the radio would not come on. I addressed it immediately and someone tried to do some stuff. Nothing. Then, he claimed maybe it was the problem the whole time as to why my battery died (which was hitting five years). He said it should kick back on. Not only did that happen, but all other sounds my car made went away. No blinker sound, no seat belt sounds, nothing. I had to move the following week so I couldnt just drop plans to get it worked on later. What I dont get is why it is a reoccurring thing that when someone works on a car suddenly something else is wrong the next day. Thats sus.Anyway, the employees are kind and nice, and the prices are alright, but the actual work was disappointing.

I have had many problems with my 2017 Yukon Denali and after disappointing service through two other Southern GMC Dealerships I decided to go out to Duke. Will was my service advisor and took the time to listen to me. His team was very thorough and figured out the issue which were substantial problems with the transmission and transfer case. I was happy with the customer service and repairs and thankful they were able to figure it out and fix it under warranty. Although the drive is much farther than the other dealerships I will be returning to Duke GMC from now on because I trust them.

Good MorningThe work that was completed was done as expected. However I had recall worked scheduled in advance almost 6 months ago, once completed there were parts missing, understood and waited for the parts to come in. Was called in not once, not twice but three times over 5 months and again after the fact at the time of pickup Im being told that the parts didnt come in. This was after I was called for the third time saying they did. So Im lead to believe that the parts came in and used on someone elses vehicle. My Tourneau cover is loose and bounces, its fading and I ask to your team to reach out to GM for replacement while it was still under warranty and they simply told me its suppose to fade and be dual, not buying that on a $1300 cover less than a year old at the time made by GM. I dont like to leave negative feed back but this current problem needs to be addressed.Thanks

My husband and I went to Duke’s for the first time as a last minute decision to check out a specific vehicle we liked online (and was too good of a deal to not jump on!) Mike C. greeted us 30 mins before their closing time on a FRIDAY (we were those people 🙈). He was so friendly and willing to hear us out with what we were looking for and our budget. Took my 2005 Cadillac CTS in last month for annual state inspection. Told it needs new disc brake pads in front or wont pass inspection. This was repaired. Driving it next day, the front left brake Caliper was seized up and car could not be driven. Paid over 100 dollars to have it towed in. This should have been addressed/corrected on the initial visit. Over 2600 dollars for both repairs.Took the same car in today to have front left low beam headlight replaced. This was done and upon trying to leave the parking lot I noticed that the turn signals dont work in the front. Worked BEFORE the new headlights installed. Obviously some connector NOT reconnected.Overall service quality is poor at Duke Cadillac. Will NEVER go back there.

Stan never pressured me to make a purchase, and always had answers to all of the questions that I asked. I really felt like I was at home while at the dealership. When I bought my car in 2013, part of the deal was 6 free oil changes. Apparently that has changed and you are not holding up your end of the deal. My car is paid for and has less than 50,000 miles on it. I have always driven Chevys and I always will. That said, our Dodge pickup needs replacing(thats over $60,000 we would bring to your dealership), however, if you are going to not honor deals you make with your customers, we will take our search for a truck elsewhereI took my car back to the dealership after this to have it inspected. The service people took my keys, I waited in the well thought out, safe waiting area for less than an hour before I was on my wayAs to the beginning of this critique, as soon as my concerns were discovered by the dealership, they were addressed completely to my satisfaction

I’m fairly new to Virginia, but every time I drove by Duke Automotive I just had this feeling that I’d buy my next vehicle there. I finally stopped there to see what they had and immediately fell in love with what’s now my 2018 Camaro. My salesperson Karon was very friendly and helpful and the rest of the staff were also very welcoming and tried to make everything go as smoothly as possible. Loved the people and the truck. Al was great to work with! The business practices need to be modernized. Charging fees for credit cards and limiting card charges to maximum of $2500 is outdated. No dealerships do this! Not accepting personal checks is also antiquated. If they updated some of these business practices I would have given them 5 stars instead of 4.

Good work but need to improve their accuracy on anticipated time waiting for brief service requests. Theres no excuse for setting an appointment time to find out an hour later the work hasnt even begun when the service representative knows you are waiting for your vehicle.Recommendation: Respect the clients time as if it was your own. And keep up the otherwise good work.

After watching my service light reminder for 2 weeks, I made a last minute call to Duke Automotive’s Service Center to get the oil changed and tires rotated on my GMC Yukon Denali. My service technician greeted me promptly on the phone and asked how they could help. She offered me several service appointments for later that day but I settled on one for the next morning. I dropped off my vehicle an hour early and they had back to me within 2 hours - ready to roll! Great service, friendly employees - all in a locally owned dealership!

Had a car fixed there less than a month ago. Its doing the same thing. Will change rating depending on how they handle it.Ok this is what ended up happening in total. My car went back to the shop 3 more times for them to still fix the original problem. It was like they were throwing parts at it to see which would fix it. They in total had my car for a month & it cost me over 5k.

Kind and courteous staff was able to get me in same day for my oil change and tire rotation. Roomy and clean waiting area with water, coffee and snacks, with a good assortment of magazines of various interest and tv. Also a couple of desk for laptops, and multiple charging stations for devices, plus wifi. I was in and out within an hour. I would also recommend Duke for a good new car buying experience. I cannot say enough about the service department at Duke. I was in town for a family event and getting ready to drive home to PA when the service parking brake light came on in my 2018 Chevy Traverse.
