We thought moving would be painful difficult and expensive. We had the opposite experience with Hogan Mayflower. Every single person was professional, quick, respectful, and great at their jobs. The move went so smooth it was such a giant load off of our chests. Highly highly recommend.

I contacted Joe Hapak about setting up a local move. He responded quickly and was able to help walk me through several different options. He was available at all times and was very accommodating to my schedule for the actual move. Cody Dustin & Mike Were assigned to my move. They were incredible. They completed the job faster than the estimated time, did not damage any property, did not make a mess, and were extremely professional. It was a pleasure working with those three. Overall- an excellent experience from start to finish. I will use this team again and would recommend them to anyone. Thank you Joe Hapak and team!

I was connected with Fritz Lay to do a virtual survey. After walking him through our house I was told he would provide a quote the following day. I never received the quote so I kindly followed up with him the following week after the weekend. I asked him if he was going to provide one and he again stated he would but later that afternoon. The afternoon came and went so I followed up again that evening. He said he was sorry he couldnt help so after waiting several days for a quote that never came we are now delayed in our efforts to find a proper moving company. Perhaps its simply an employee issue but needless to say we want be using them again.

We moved to Indy from California 3.5 years ago and used this company. We have an beautiful antique piano that had been artfully restored. They assured us that they are experienced with moving pianos and that our items would be moved by truck. Literally72 hours before our move we were informed that all of our items would be shoved into a container and moved via train, and that we would have to rush drive across country with our family to ensure that we were there to receive the container, although they couldnt tell us what day that might be. I literally begged them to reconsider because of the antique piano, to no avail and we were only hours away from the move with no recourse at that point. During the unloading process they hastily put things together including putting the glass shelves into our china cabinet using half the required pins - luckily I caught it before I unloaded my crystal. They dropped our antique coffee table in pieces because they flipped it before screwing it in. In the moving process the board of our beautiful piano was cracked as several other items were broken and bent. In the end our claim for damage resulted in a check of less than $300 because we couldnt prove what had not been broken before the move. We are moving again and I need to sell our piano, but cant because of the damage to the board. This company doesnt care at all and should not be used.

** BEWARE ** Do NOT use Hogan to move/store your belongings. We contracted them to remove the large items from our Meridian Kessler home and move in 2 weeks to our new location in Carmel. The first part of the move went well. The team came out and catalogued our furniture, wrapped and moved them out in great fashion. I was so pleased with the crew that day I requested the crew again in 2 weeks for the drop off. They were very thorough and careful with our stuff. The horror story begins when we have them deliver to the Carmel location. I noted the day we took possession on the home the tight spaces behind our building. As a former delivery driver, I let the know on 3 separate occasions NOT to bring the large straight truck as it would not fit in town. They refused to listen and the morning of found out that the truck would indeed not fit. They resorted to parking in a nearby lot where the business threatened to call the Carmel police and have them removed. They relocated to a Meijer parking lot and had a smaller, shuttle truck come from downtown to shuttle our stuff back and fourth. It took the 4 hours to pack up our house but an astounding 10+ hours to drop it off.The salesman I was in contact with also failed to listen to my request for the same crew. We knew they worked well and we tipped them well at the pick up. A second, what I would call a back-up crew, delivered our furniture. The absolute first piece of furniture that cane through the house hit a corner do hard it dented it and removed the paint. They proceeded to put a hole in the stairway from the basement and make up a dozen walls total.I dont have unrealistic expectations. I would never assume everything to be perfect but the total lack of professionalism was astounding. I simply had 2 requests - send the same crew and dont bring the large box truck. Both were ignored. Also, they forgot one of the storage pods and about 20% of our belongings were missing and we had to wait for the warehouse to locate the missing shipment and them run it up later that night. That meant the first crew left the house and the warehouse crew then finished the job. You can tell they werent movers. More mistakes and furniture we found days later put together wrong or not at all. While the furniture was in storage, it took an amazing beating. Pics below show the scrapes and damage from transit. Again, I understand it wouldnt be perfect but damage on every piece we had? Incomprehensible. In the end, we had to file an insurance claim. It was up to us to file, document and handle this. The entirety of this was placed on us - not Hogan for their un-professionalism. We were awarded a whopping $240 bucks for our efforts. They damaged 10k+ in furniture, put holes in walls and scuffs on our beautiful hardwood floors. $240 is all we get for our troubles.Avoid this company at all costs. I suspect the owner will get on here and issue some garbage we will try to get better response but I guarantee you zero will be done about it. Zero integrity and zero professionalism. They could move the Colts from Baltimore to Indy under the cover of night in the snow but cant make a simple move us US 31, 5 miles to save their backsides....

I am truly 100% satisfied with Mayflower. My move was extremely emotional, as I left a house I truly loved to go back to IL for family reasons. Not only were the movers sensitive to all of this, but they were extremely careful wrapping each item of furniture & other items. The movers kept their schedules & were extremely punctual. I felt confident with the crew the entire time from IN to IL.I would absolutely hire this company again for future moves & have recommended them to my friends & family.Thank you for everything!Becky

My moving experience with Fritz Lay and his group was excellent.. They really care about their customers and make sure to deliver everything with great care. I liked the attitude of their movers and how they worked with us both while picking and delivering our stuffs from Indiana to Dallas. Very on time delivery. This was my 5th move with in US and I can easily say that my experience was best with this company. I will highly recommend them to anyone as they keep customer first approach.

Great company. Very professional. Used them when we moved furniture and they called before they arrived, asked if they could deliver early, and none of my stuff was damaged. The movers were friendly and got the job done quickly. Would highly recommend this company.

One star for nothing getting lost. 4 stars lost for broken furniture, but mostly for the ineptitude of the estimators, and the company in general, and the guy who did the packing and move for us was a complete a-hole.Don’t do business with these people. I sent a 3 page letter to the president describing in detail all the problems we had, the accusations made by the driver and the extent I went to before the move to be up front about our possessions, etc. I started calling after a month or so and called/emailed 3 or 4 times before I finally got a reply 6 months later. The reply I finally got was “it’s been taken care of”. A one line reply. Bull. You can do better.

The pre move was great - A lot of support and good ideas about how to get everything ready. The boxes were delivered and I even got a lesson on how to put together the boxes, especially the wardrobes. The day of the move went very well. The crew showed up and could get the big truck down the road. They went back and traded it in for a small transport. Even though it got started late, the time flew by. The dismantled everything with precision and care. The same crew that packed also drove the shipment to my new location. Arriving two hours after I signed for the new house. Unpacking with the same care, by the early evening I was home. I had tables, boxes, and my bed. Thanks for a great job.

I moved from Indianapolis to San Diego in Sept 2018. The move had its good, bad and downright ugly parts, so overall I rated the move a 3.The good parts were the estimator, the price, the fact that Mayflower would go to California (not all companies do), the crating services at both ends for high value items, the packing crews at both ends, and especially the contracted unpacking crew in San Diego, timely reimbursement for delays to the shipment, and the pick-up, pack and shipment of a few items that had been forgotten in the house. The bad parts were the protection of larger furniture items (a sofa, end table, desk, floor lamps and laundry equipment were all damaged); the shipment was a week late in arriving and had been split into two (the second part was even later; the split was only communicated on delivery of the first part of the shipment); several items were lost from the shipment (including a desktop computer, found about 3 months later), there was no discussion of what came in each half of the shipment, no disposal of packaging material was included in the contract ($150 fee to add); the second part of the shipment was loaded higgeldy-piggeldy into a wooden shipping container, and the crew for unpacking started laying things in my yard as they opened the crate; the second shipment got new item numbers so keeping good records of each delivery was a problem. In addition, the compensation for the delayed shipment only covered the first part;there was no compensation for the delay to the second part. The really bad or ugly part was the process for compensation for damage and loss. It took 5 months to complete. It took several months to get a claims assessor to my house, and then only through constant follow-up did a report eventually get filed. Then the file went into the backlog for processing before a settlement would be issued. It was very frustrating. The whole process took so long that questions answered earlier in the process had to be answered again at the end. It seems record keeping is not a strong point. My recommendations for anyone using them would include:- be sure to discuss split shipments and get undertakings on how you would want that to be handled.- The ideal would be to have your shipment loaded at your home and taken directly to your destination, with no trans-shipments, consolidations, or off-loading along the way.- decide how you want to deal with packaging material disposal in your destination.- insist on and observe packaging for larger items and especially floor lamps.- do use the crating services for higher value items and be generous in your definition of these items.- backup ALL YOUR DATA or important electronic files, and assume you may not see your computer again.- keep good records of the delivery, marking off each inventory item as it comes in the door; put aside any items that have no number for later and note this on your paperwork.- if you have damaged items subject to a claim, check with the team managing your claim before you do anything, like dispose of packaging, get repairs done, throw away broken pieces etc. Any of these could invalidate your claim if not done properly.Ive moved many times, several involving different countries. This was my least favorite move of all of them. The biggest advantage of the international moves was that everything was locked in a container at one location and it was all delivered from that same container at the destination. I believe the multiple handling of this move contributed to the loss and damage. This included being offloaded at the depot in Indianapolis, split up in that warehouse, loaded and then consolidated onto trucks with other shipments, and then unloaded and put on a shuttle for delivery at the final point.Good luck with your move!

Hogan Transfer/Mayflower did a fantastic job of packing and moving our belongings to our new home! Not one thing was broken or scratched. All employees that facilitated the move were professional, courteous, and respectful. When the need arises and we have to move again, they will be the only company we call.

The team assisted my family and me as part of a corporate relocation. The communications pre-move, during the move, and after were great. The team was very professional and friendly and willing to make adjustments to their approach, and to any furniture or boxes during unpacking, to fit our needs and expectations. We are about 99% unpacked and havent found any unexpected breakage, scratches, or spills. We are only missing a set of shelves in a buffet, but may have misplaced them ourselves. Our new home was treated with respect and prepped to prevent against floor stains (it was a very wet and muddy move/unpack day) and wall damage. They had to work around our 3 young children, and did a nice job of working quickly and safely, while occasionally entertaining the kids. All said and done, I think this team did a better job with the move from start to finish than our move team 10 years ago. Nice job, and thanks!

Pathetic customer service. The company moved my mom to Florida from Indy. The price seemed very high for a 2 bedroom apt. The problem is not all of her belongings got here. We did exactly as they instructed for a claim, we got the acknowledgement that they had received the claim. Then nothing for a month, no call, no email nothing.Beware of this mover!!
