It was horrible I drove a total of 30 minutes there and back equaling up to more then a hour to sell my Xbox, and it was closing time, I stood there with my Xbox in hand for 10 minutes to sell it to them knowing I wouldn’t get what it was actually worth for selling it to them but they said we can’t do it because we need uo to 30 minutes to do a trade in a complete waist of time if you wanted to leave that early you could just work faster dosent take to long to turn a Xbox on and see if it works or not

These guys are always so helpful when I vist their store. I like going their . If I dont know what game. Im looking for then help me find it. Thanks guys your awesome.

Not a food experience the person was really rude

I just tried to go shopping at this location of gamestop. Masks are never actually required when Ive been in here before even though they have signs. The guy said this time that I needed a mask or he would print off a list of the inventory and I could pick out what I wanted from outside.His fellow employee walked right behind him as he was telling me this and wasnt wearing a mask and the one beside him had his below his nose. I honestly dont think its as big an issue as he thinks it is. I spent over 200 bucks in this location 2 weeks ago and I didnt wear a mask and neither was my husband or my daughter. And they didnt offer to supply one. I dont wear one where I live on a regular basis so it isnt a natural thought to be a sheep. You just lost quite a bit of money. I wont be back and I hope others quit shopping at stores that require them as well.

Ive always liked GameStop. The staff sometimes disappear but otherwise, its clean and roomy in store. They tend to have what youre looking for and far as newer games go.

Lies about not having controllers because somebody uses there insurance whenever it breaks or has a malfunction then wants you to wait weeks for a new one to be shipped very unprofessional

Tried to go in an look around and wasn’t aloud in without a mask, I didn’t have one nor did they supply 1, yet the guy which seemed to be the manager took my card without gloves on which was pointless, I’ll never shop at this location again, if I could give zero stars, I would of.

I bought my son with special needs to buy a game. We needed help to figure out some good games for his skill level. Sam, the mgr was VERY nice and all of the employees were VERY helpful. As we searched for game for over 30 min, at some point, EVERY single employee came up and asked if we needed help. We bought a controller and after getting it home we figured out it had a roaming stick. Its hard enough when you have a disability to do things with this going on too. We were honestly late getting the game back due to him being the hospital. Sam graciously allowed us to exchange it anyway. We pass 2 other game stops to go to THIS one!! Always have and ALWAYS WILL!! Its just outside of Walmart. You cant pay enough to see a kids face light up again due to kindness. Thank you!!

I called to have a game held for me and was not able to get it so called to much sure I could pick up next day after 330 the lady said sure that fine I went to get it they sold it . I had to drive out of my way to get the game it was a birthday present for my grandson birthday.

I love game stop thats my store

This is one of the largest GameStop locations that youll ever see, which is very cool. The store seems to be kept well cleaned and neatly arranged, which I appreciate. However, this store has one major problem and thats the staff. Ive been in this store a number of times and each time, the staff doesnt seem friendly or overly willing to help out. The staff here seems either poorly trained or as if they possess no knowledge of video games at all. Ive asked them basic questions that any GameStop employee or video game fan should know such as and they ask whats that or only half listen and give me an answer that is completely irrelevant to what I asked. I dont know, maybe Ive just been in on bad days..I will be happy to revise my review in the future if I get better service, but at this time, the staff has really disappointed me.

This is the best Game Stop. Bryan is super knowledgeable and this extends to his staff. No pushy pre-order sales either. I always walk away satisfied and knowing what I want next time.

I went to trade in my xbox (which is in perfect condition) and they tried to give me $50 for it. I didnt think a gaming store could rip me off worst than a pawn shop. Also, 20 new games is worth a lot more than $5. Maybe there needs to be a change in management but ripping people off is not a good way to attract business.

Employees are not on the same terms as others...I was told one thing and another employee told me another. If you want things to go your way as a manager, then you need to learn how to train someone because I was told the exact opposite. Also, why employ someone if you’re just going to tell them what to do while you’re helping a customer and they’re helping another? Now I know why GameStop isn’t as popular anymore. It reminds me very much of a BlockBuster. Except BlockBuster had people that knew how to work with employees.

Not the biggest selection and the bigger guy was WAY too pushy trying to get me to get the power up rewards and got rude when I said repeatedly I didnt want it. I have spent alot at game stop for YEARS and this made me pretty irritated.

People inside seem like theyre more involved in themselves or making other people feel less important when they ask for older items or games. Also the parking is terrible only two or three spots to park in front of the store and if those are filled you have to park in the Walmart parking lot and walk around.

This place is pretty good but once it took me forever to checkout because there was only one guy behind the counter talking on the phone to customer, it wasnt his fault it was just under staffed when I went. This is a pretty busy area.

I dont understand the poor reviews I saw on here. Ive had nothing but exceptional service every time I go in here. It seems like the manager works all the hours and is always here! Great guy and very knowledgeable. He always listens and has good suggestions for the items I am looking for. Yes, it is a very busy store. But compared to other Game Stops that I have shopped in, I would say the customer service and shopping experience here is well above the average. Thank you for doing a great job!

Ive been to this gamestop three times. The first time I went there was a younger man running the register. His people skills were more than lacking. He was rude and short with me. He made you feel rushed to leave the store. The second time I went a young lady was running the register and was very good. She was polite and ready to answer any questions you had. The third the young guy was there and in a foul mood. This makes you want to go to another shop to purchase your games.

I go here to get anything new (systems, games, novelties, etc) just for the sake of nabbing the rewards points to get free stuff but Ill never do trades at this place. They will rip you a new one on those corporate trade in prices and will go even deeper if you want cash and not store credit. Its rare that I do any trades anyways, but when I do I just go a quarter mile down the street to Wizards. Most of the time, these guys are real helpful and if its not too busy, you can even get a good nerdy convo on with some of them. These guys sold me a used Xbox 360 years ago and it overheated and they replaced it free of charge for another. Same thing happened with the replacement so they knocked off 25 bucks of a new one and I walked out happy.And to all the guys saying theyll run you around and push you to preorder and get all the extra junk; you need to realize that they are paid and trained to push those things and also just learn to say no. Ive found that if you just say you arent interested in that particular franchise and ask about the preorder release of a game you are interested in, theyll drop it.

The previous reviews are true. They are pure ripoffs. Guest satisfaction is one of thier least concerns. They try to up sale you extra stuff you dont need by manipulating the information. They told me their gamestop insurance covers physical damages on my system. I cross checked online after my purchase and found out they dont. I asked for at least store credit back and they declined. They were stubborn! As a result, I went to the one in Oakwood and they gladly refunded my money. Im strictly taking my business to the one in Oakwood. Its sad that Oakwood has to fix all of Gainesvilles problems. In the process, they lose money just by trying to satisfy a guest because each store has their own required sales. By me getting my money back Oakwood lost money and the one in Gainesville stays with the money. In return, I am buying games solely from Oakwood. Its crap like this that leads other stores to struggle in staying open.

Man this gamestop sucks they rip you off all the way, but im guessing its like this at all other gamestops so if you like to get ripped off go ahead and come to this gamestop
