I called last minute right when they opened. Matt was very busy but was able to squeeze me in. Unfortunately my alternator was going out. He came out and explained the problem and asked if the price was ok before any work was done. He not only fixed my car, but actually took the new alternator back out because it wasn’t charging correctly. Called for another and replaced it again, and made sure it was running properly. It’s been 3 weeks without another issue. I highly recommend this place. I am a new customer to Matt and his team. Thank you.

I love love love DAS! Weve been taking our cars here for years. The staff is always nice and professional. My husband usually handles everything, but I brought my mother-in-laws vehicle in one day. I didnt know any of the information, The guy behind the counter joked with me and said what kind of daughter-in-law are you... I was dumbfounded at first and then looked up at him with a huge grin on his face and realized he was joking He said dont sweat it well figure out whats going on. He took my mother-in-laws name and there was nothing. I gave him my husbands name in every vehicle weve ever taken in showed up. Theyre always so friendly and welcoming I absolutely love going here They dont try to overcharge you and they talk you through what the issue is without making you feel stupid. Thats definitely a win in my book!

My family and I were on our way to North Carolina from Michigan for Spring Break. Our van would shake like it was going to break down when we applied the brakes. I thought our vacation was going to be ruined. My husband called and they said we could bring it in. It was only 5 minutes away from where we were. They raised our van up right away and were able to see the problem. The mounting bolt for the caliper fell out. They replaced the bolt right away. We were there no more then 30 minutes. I can not thank Bob enough for getting us in right away and back on the road. Thanks to Delaware Automotive we were able to have an awesome spring break.

I would give them 10 stars if I could. They replaced the engine in my daughters car. I live out of state but they made things so easy like covering the cost of the tow initially so i didnt have to deal with that and such. They had it done in less than a week and came in under their quote! They spent a lot of time on the phone with me because I was asking a lot of questions... Not once did they seem impatient. It has been a couple weeks now and there have been no problems. I highly recommend.

Wonderful staff and manager! I got a screw in my tire and they got me in right away and repaired it quickly. I also needed a new tire installed. I had it shipped to them and they put it on and did it on my schedule. Employees are very knowledgeable and I Love that they dont tell you that you need to fix something on your car you didnt even go there for like other places do. Very great prices also.

Delaware Automotive provides excellent service and stands by there work. I had taken my car to a different place to have my ABS system looked at to which they fixed it and took it back again when the issue started back up. Even though they said that they would not charge to fix it again they did (and it was not even fixed). I had a friend recommend me to Delaware automotive and they did an efficient job in fixing my vehicle, the service was amazing, and the pricing was very good.

Honest service. Went to get my alternator replaced as I was told by another shop it was bad. Instead of just replacing, they ran a full diagnostic on the car and determined alternator to be fine (battery just needed charged as it had been sitting a while). Definitely will go there for future car repair needs.

By far the best experience Ive ever had with a mechanic. Matt was very laid back and easy going. Im not a mechanically inclined person, so for him to understand my nonsense and figure out what was wrong with my truck was awesome! He was very upfront about the price to fix my truck. Even broke it down I into parts and labor.What I really appreciated about the whole experience was really that he did NOT use that doom and gloom tactic. You know, the one most mechanics use. You need to fix this or it could cause big problems down the road. I dread that because Im unsure about it so I get it. Then I take it to my mechanically inclined dad who says You know that was fine right.Even though Ive only interacted with Matt the one time, I could tell he has great care for his clients. Well, I hate to be the first one to say anything negative but this is my review and it is blatantly honest and truthful. Matt is very knowledgeable about his profession and definitely knows what he is doing. He is operating a very busy business. However, apparently he is to busy to keep his word and prioritize my vehicle to work on and get it back to me in a time he said he would. I have a blown engine and have been without my vehicle for a month. I got the rebuilt engine for it last Wednesday. In the course of the past week I have been told I have days blocked off (Wednesday and Friday)to work on your car only which didnt happen and he worked on other vehicles instead. I was then told I will come in on Saturday and even Sunday and work the whole day on it and I will have it back to you by the end of day Tuesday which hasnt happened. I was told when I called him this morning(Tuesday) to enquire as to whether it would be ready to pick up today probably not and that he was working on other peoples cars so that he could keep his shop running and that he wasnt making any money on my car. Bottom line, he is taking other jobs in front of mine and I feel like he is treating my vehicle like its just a side job that really doesnt matter to him when it gets done. I ask him for a firm day on when my vehicle would be done and after a few moments of silence he finally said he would have it ready to pick up Thursday morning. I wont hold my breath on it but I will report back on Thursday and inform you of whether it got done. Until then I guess I will just have to say To Be Continued. If I get it back Thursday I might change my rating but until then I guess it remains 3 stars.

Traveling south to North Carolina from Michigan and thought I had an issue with brakes. I went to this mechanic shop and asked if they could check my brakes. They told me they had two people drive test my brakes and that it was okay to keep driving. They didn’t try to up-sell me and told me what I needed too change. Free inspection on brakes. I’m alive and well.

Matt, the owner of Delaware Automotive Service, has worked on all of our vehicles. I drive a mid-size SUV and he has fixed an oil leak, a front passenger ball bearing, shock on the back hatch, shocks on the hood, put new brakes and rotors on, put 4 new tires on, and replaced the muffler. I am extremely happy with Matts work on my car. Best mechanic Ive ever been to. Went out of their way to find out if a part I needed replaced had a warranty and got it fixed very quickly and for a reasonable price.

I took my husbands truck (12 yrs old) in for an oil change and inspection and Matt found that the tire rods were bad and needed replaced. Matt did it at a great price. I had checked at two other service shops and their prices and service were much higher. Matt has worked on this truck before and as always offers the best advice, price and service in the area. The next day my husband went to start the truck and the oil pressure gauge was reading high. He called Matt and took the truck back in and Matt had the part ordered and ready when he arrived and it was installed and back on the road in 20 min! He did this part replacement free of charge because he was concerned that the oil change might have contributed to it not working. I am confident that it was 12 years old and no one could say that it was the age or the oil change. None the less, Matt stood behind his work with outstanding service and knowledge. We will continue to use Delaware Automotive Service not just for the truck but for all of our cars. It is rare these days no matter what the service to find a place that understands and values return business, customer service and fair priceing.

After taking our SUV to several shops to get diagnosed and quoted we realized we wasted our time and just should have went to Matt first! Matt beat the lowest quote and also completed repairs earlier than he said he would! He also went out of his way to stay a few minutes after his closing time as we were just getting off of work. He kept open lines of communication from start to finish. One of the parts he got from the service shop was defective and we came in and he replaced it immediately, which made us trust that he operates with integrity. Would not hesitate to bring any of our other vehicles to him again. Only downside is the front office isnt always staffed so just give him a ring before you get there.

Easily my best consistent experience with a mechanic. Weve been using DAS for all our vehicles since a year after moving to Delaware. We tried other services in town, and they all compare to just about every other mechanic weve used in Columbus and elsewhere. But DAS gives expert service at VERY reasonable prices.Ive had issues diagnosed by another mechanic in town, then gone to DAS and gotten the same service for less money (without DAS even knowing the other quote). Ive also learned from DAS that another mechanics diagnosis was excessive, gotten the more-limited repair from DAS, and had no further problems with my vehicle. I never feel lied to or cheated. I always feel like DAS cares to give me good value.I cant say enough about DAS. I recommend them to everyone, and I seldom recommend anything to anyone (except for NeilMeds nasal irrigation products--a must for people with allergies). Im very grateful for DAS.
