Awesome little shop super friendly staff. I walked in not being able to read at all. They took the time to teach me. Unforgettable experience will stick with me for the rest of my life. Also they have a corgi, sadly he was out on a business trip at the time. Well be back to meet him and to further my studies.

Nice selection of back issues with a very welcoming atmosphere. I was visiting from out of town and they immediately welcomed me to the store and asked if they could help me find anything. Some comic stores are not so inviting to non-regulars.I collect vintage Marvel Conan and they had a very nice selection. Dont hesitate to pay them a visit when youre in Knoxville.

He held a copy of dceased for me which was amazing, and as far as I know he’s working on getting me a comic I’ve been searching for. The place is kinda small but it honestly feels like and old school comic shop. My final plus is both of the goes are super nice and actually know there comics to share.

Rocky and his staff at krypto are top notch. Hes went above and beyond for me in finding me books, digging through bins, and reserving exactly what I ask for. He gives great deals on books and you get to pet a sweet dog named Loki. I drive 80 minutes from Kentucky, and happily take my business here.

This place is amazing and definitely the most kid friendly shop in the Knoxville area! Rocky and his wife are so incredibly friendly, and Rocky is happy to help you find anything you’re looking for if he has it! Hands down the best selection of new releases and variant covers (but also has a good amount of back issues, too!) The store is clean and so well organized for the amount of space he has. Loki the Corgi is another favorite reason for my whole family to visit, he is really fun. We just recently got back into this hobby and Rocky has made this place so nice that it’s our go to place! You won’t regret visiting this one!

This is hands down the best comic store around. They may have a small store but they more than make up for in selection and personality. When you go, make sure you ask for Loki, he is the best staff member there. Greets you at the door every time you go and just an all around great guy!!!! You seriously need to check this place out.

The most amazing shop From Nashville to Asheville. Trust me Ive been to them all. The staff here are two of the most helpful, caring, and intelligent people I have met in years working a comic book shop. If they dont have it theyll find it. You got a vague description of something youre looking for they already know what youre describing. They take care of you here. Ive never had a msg or call that wasnt returned within minutes with my question already answered. Great people. Great Store. Nuff Said!

I was out of town visiting family and let me just say Im so glad I made the time to go visit Krypto Comics. The staff (Rocky) was super friendly and helpful. They also had a huge selection of Comics and even more Vairant covers! If you are looking for a variant they probably have it (or will do their best to help you out), Id say they are definitely the variant cover kings. The next time Im in town theres no question that Ill be visiting them again and the next time Im looking for a variant cover they are going to be my new go to source. And if thats not enough reason to go see these guys, then their mascot Loki (the dog, a corgi) is absolutely adorable and loveable any will definitely make your day a little brighter! If youre in the Knoxville area count yourself lucky to have such amazing comic shop and if youre out of town like I was, then do yourself a huge favor and go see Rocky and Loki and find your next favorite book. I had a great experience visiting Krypto Comics! The other shop I used to visit in another town had previously shut down and I had been looking for another place to buy new comics, and this place is perfect. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcome and you could tell that the owner, Rocky, really cares about his shop, his trade, and his customers. I highly recommend you check this place out if you’re in the Knoxville area and looking for new and recent comics.

Great selection and good people. The owners are the kindest Ive ever met, and would do anyone a great service if and when theyre given the chance. Lets just say I owe a few favors as it is.

Great selection and prices

I moved to Knoxville november of 2020. One of the first things I did was going to every comic shop in knoxville and surrounding area. Krypto comics was a pleasant surprise. The store is a little small, but the owner makes great use of the space by keeping a good balance of a new selection of titles, great back and key issues, and graded books. Also if you dont see the book you want I highly recommend just asking. I just about guarantee he has what youre looking for. I also really like how he does his pull boxes. He does not require you to give him a credit/debit card to put on file and in his words, I dont want your card number. I will never charge a person before they come in to pick up. I really like going in and just talking with the owner. He is very funny and really goes out of his way to make your in store experience a good one. I highly recommend everyone to go check this little shop out. One last thing that I must say. If you are looking to preorder specific titles, especially specific variant covers, this is the place to go. Some other Knoxville area shops, that will remain nameless, will order covers and Jack the price up just for the sake of greed. I have recently seen this at another local shop where a main cover, not a hard to find variant, of a dc future state title was marked up to over $20 with tax. That is over double the cover price and this was only a couple of days after the release of the book. Now in stark contrast to this unnamed comic shop,krypto comics had very popular, and more valuable, variants of this same issue for the cover price when he could of legitimately asked for more money and could have got it. In closing, krypto comics has become my go to shop for all my comic book needs.

Fantastic service and book selection

: this is not a smash on any other comic shops around my area:First time visitor of this shop,up on going In i said wow this is kinda cramped,but then i noticed they had WAY more of selection of everything, the space is very clean and a cool atmosphere u would want the 2 proprietors of the business were so kind and helpful, they even chatted with me for 30 mins before even knowing if I was going to buy anything at all! They even offered to order me a comic from the 90s at no profit to them,just to help me out! They said we can order almost anything ur looking for if we dont have it..so I checked out with my stack, and as I was about to leave they gave me a new issue of a variant I didnt know was out, because they noticed what I had bought..not saying they just give stuff away all the time BUT the caring, and treatment they gave me I can hands down say I will definately be a repeat customer! These comic book men are great at making you feel like part of there family right off the bat..10🎇🏅

Please ignore some of these reviews which are based off the old store (especially in regards to anyone mentioning the “creepy” guy that used to run the store) . The new guy running the store was extremely helpful, friendly, and professional. I have been to several comic stores around Knoxville and Krypto is by far the best one in terms of quantity and selection. The owner was able to get me the comic I had been wanting for a long time, with very short notice. The old store was awesome and fun to look around in, however was very claustrophobic. The new store is open, bright, and ultimately more comfortable to walk around in. Anyone in the Knox area and beyond needs to visit this great comic store!

New Krypton Comics isnt the biggest comic shop in Knoxville, but it is the best!!! Randy is an awesome dude who is very friendly, extremely helpful, and his #1 goal is to make you happy and to have fun while doing it.His store is unlike any other store in Knoxville as most of the decorations are made by him. Hes a great artist and he is what makes New Krypton Comics so different than all the other stores.His folder system is free & you get 20% off, which is an awesome deal. It saves a lot of money! So if you want great service, go see Randy at New Krypton!

Randy is the nicest and most reasonable man in comic books today. His store is eye pleasing and welcoming to collectors and newcomers. Kids and adults alike are always smiling ear to ear in this store. I will never place orders for a series as long as this man has a store. All he asks in return is to pick up your books within a reasonable time. What more can you ask of a friend and comic book dealer? If there is something Randy El would be the one to find it. He is the Man Of Deal.

Yes it is the smallest comic book store in Knoxville, but you will definitely have a great experience. I dont feel like I have some know-it-acting like they are better than me because they own some books I dont have. Definitely shop here and support a store that always goes above and beyond to help.

This shop is incredibly charming - its a destination in itself, never mind the comics. The owner is very creative and has made every inch of his shop into an artwork. The selection is solid, although in keeping with the relatively small size of the shop not extensive or that surprising. The shop is well worth supporting, however, like a museum.

Rocky at Krypto Comics will go out of his way to make sure that his subscribers get their books. He also has a huge selection of back issues and key issues. He also has loads of dollar books. Theres something for every comicbook fan in your life.

Shop is a bit farther from UT campus but worth the drive. Selection is a bit smaller than some of the other shops however, the owner is one of the nicest people Ive met. Found several great comics in his back stock for reasonable prices. The shop also has a great design with lots of sci-fi memorabilia.

I loved New Krypton Comics... But as for the new shop, not so much. They are very inexperienced with comics. I was told numerous times that this comic really sells for super high online and that series is selling crazy high on eBay, but Im a reseller, I sell on eBay, I looked all that up, and they couldnt be further from the truth. Overall just a mediocre shop. Im sure inventory is decent, but the most important part of going to an actual comic shop, for me at least, is the staff. I can always buy my comics cheaper online but I prefer to go to actual shops and talk to people. And if the people running the shop arent very knowledgeable in the product they sell its not a very good experience.

This is an eclectic little comic shop a short drive north of downtown Knoxville. The decorations and original art in the store make it a uniquely interesting shopping experience--it isnt a very big place, but every inch oozes with personality and interesting details. There are old hollowed-out console televisions filled with carefully arranged Star Trek figures or various incarnations of the Batmobile. I have a feeling that when I go back there will be more surprises I missed on my first trip.There isnt a huge selection of back issues, but what is there is in great condition, organized, and very reasonably priced. Be sure to look around as some issues and sets are meticulously placed within some of the stores displays, rather than slotted inside the back issue boxes.The owner is super nice and was quick to ask if I needed any assistance, but also let me browse and experience the store in silence.

New to the area work near by went to check it out smaller than what I was used to being from Atlanta but the guy was super nice and had a very well organized and varied selection

This place is everything you could want as a fan of comics, TV shows, movies and more. It has a very eclectic feel, including many pieces of original art that really sets it apart from others. The door-opening sound and the hieroglyph art are my favorite. Love it!

The most epic comic store ever. Do they have more comics than most shops?... no Do they have a large back stock... no What they do have is an amazing atmosphere, the best prices of any comic store I have ever been in (and thats a lot fyi) and a owner thats just flat out one of the coolest people you could ever meet. If you dont come to this store your just cheating yourself.

I wasnt sure what to expect walking in to this very small comic book store, but WOW! Their selection is fantastic, and they even sell some figurines. The guys inside were knowledgeable and very helpful!
