Talked to Tonya over the phone and she delivered exceptional customer service! She went beyond to help me and was so kind- such a rare thing these days.

The support staff are great I have no problems with them. My main issue is the eye doctor. Maybe I caught him on a bad day but he seemed like he wanted to rush through the exam and didnt really listen to me. That day there were at least 4 other people waiting after me. And maybe this is just a post-pandemic rush.After the exam I told him that the prescription is still a little blurry and he just shrugged. So I thought maybe he knows better. When I came to pick up the glasses I notice that its worse than my previous glasses. So I went back to revise the prescription.Even during the exam revisit it was confusing because he would switch various prescriptions with barely any difference in them. Not only that he would leave both eyes open when testing my right one. It just makes me confused wondering is it blurry because of the left one or the right one.We did finally get a good working prescription and they do honor the 100 day guarantee. Ill give them that. It was just so difficult.Ive had glasses and been through exams the past 20 years and this is the only one Ive had problems with. Next time I need an updated prescription Im not coming back and will try a different eye doctor.

The first appointment I had, I felt like the doctor was rushing me and felt he was annoyed cause I was asking questions. He seemed very impatient and it made me kinda uncomfortable. The girl with tattoos was super sweet and very helpful. So I paid for contacts my first visit and came in for a second appointment to have a class and pick a color as well, so I picked my color and the guy tried charging me but then everything was fixed. So I waited for about a month and nothing. Reason why I waited was cause I was trying to be patient cause I know sometimes things get delayed, but I called and turns out the guy never ordered my contact so I had to wait about another 2 weeks. It’s my first time ever coming here and my experience was not as great as I hoped for. I bought glasses and added extra to prevent from getting scratched and tell me why the next day it had a small scratch and I only used them once and they stayed in its case most of the time. It’s not worth it, just buy regular standard glasses.

Great professional and care shown from the beginning to the end! The sweet young woman stayed passed closing to make sure that I was taken care of with my vision insurance for contacts and glasses. She wanted to make sure we were utilizing my insurance in the best way to help save me money. Keep smiling and taking care of patients, I can definitely tell that you truly enjoy what you do. I got an email stating that my daughters glasses had arrived. I headed there from flowery branch to pick up her glasses. I ended up getting stuck in traffic and got there a few minutes after they closed. They wouldnt even let us in for 5 min to get her glasses. They would rather have her go without them than to open the door for 5 minutes so she can get her glasses. Its not my fault traffic was horrible.

Walked in on Saturday and Dr. Schmitz saw me immediately and provided excellent care. We will be back!

The doctor seem like he was in a rush to get done with my eye exam. When I told him I didn’t want to get my eyes dilated because I’ll be outside for an event. He said we’ll we done have time to the other way so come back another day. Then he got frustrated with me when I couldn’t see the letters with my bad eye. Very unprofessional and had an annoyed tone to his voice. Would not recommend this place to anyone. I’m getting them to fax my info to a different visionworks

Im from ohio visiting family in town....lost 1 contact lens......called and asked if I could get a replacement temporary contact as I had my prescription with me....they had my prescription contact on hand and just gave me the1 lens for FREE no hassle....just totally helped me not be blind for my wkend visit and 10 hour drive home days later....THANK YOU!!!

If there were such a thing as a negative star I’d give it. Granted, the store staff was as helpful as possible. I submitted my sunglasses to be retrofitted with polarized lenses, and the lab apparently lost them. I went up the chain to the territory director, and they offered a refund in the form of a check. Then upon further review I used my hsa to make the lenses purchase, and they told me it would be fraudulent to refund cash for an item that I paid cash for from a different retailer. I am nothing short of livid. I’m out a pair...I’ll never go back, and I’ll work my hardest to make sure my wife (a stylist) and I work to notify people of this erroneous business they conduct. Garbage CS.

Girls were very helpful, but the doctor was rude, he was frustrated when I was having trouble seeing out of my bad eye and I told him my history of the injury. I just wanted to be done with it and he was frustrated that I couldn’t get my eyes dilated. Then he made a rude remark about how I wasn’t wearing my mask right. They fog up my glasses and I don’t like mask and don’t like to wear them. He said my mask was on wrong and was like driving with a flat tire. Didn’t feel like he cared about my vision at all. Girls were nice and helpful but will not be going back to see him

At first, I thought this was a good place to come to but not until now.. they dont answer the phone at all anymore which I think is odd. I actually gave up and just went to go pick up my glasses and I was told I could go ahead and get the appointment made for my contact lenses which days later I find out after I showed up to my appointment that they are not there! I showed up later not knowing they were closed to get my glasses fixed since they were way too tight around my ear and they didnt even acknowledge I was there and kept talking. These people have definitely gotten rude so please go somewhere else..

Appointment was easy to make. This is my first time there. My experience with the doctor- I was her last customer. May 5 min exam.--- No dilating. I told her I have problems seeing at night. I feel completely blind. I can see the signs on the road. She ask me if I have problem with sun light. I told her no. She asked if Ive ever had glasses before. I said yes. She flip the lens to find out I need a -50 for distance. I cant remember what she said for the close up. But I already use 1.50 for reading. She looked in my eyes and said the lady up front will help me with the glasses. Next I was told to take the glasses that I picked out with me and one of the ladies out front would help me with the measuring for the frames. Appt was at 5:30pm. I was in my car by 7pm. So you can see a lot of time was done sitting and waiting. 1 1/2 week later my glasses was ready. I showed up. Put them on I could not see out of them for the distance. The lady looked at me like I was crazy. They measured me wrong. They had to do the order again. 1 1/2 week later new glasses came in. Now I could not read out of them.. The lady bends them to see if it would help for me to see out of them. I put them back on and said no. I could not read anything.. The distance was find but the measurements was still wrong even for that! She said I needed to make an appt for the doctor to redo my exam. REALLY! Its not the prescription! Its the measurements and someone making a huge mistake and not doing the right lens correctly. No Im faced with still having to use them, going for another eye exam today and wait another 2 wks for glasses? Im sure they have been paid by my insurance so I cant even say I want my money back. :< not happy at all. Never in all my years wearing glasses and getting exams have I had this problem.

Worst customer service ever. They have two employees maybe three some days. When you walk in theres usually already a pile of people waiting. Obviously the owners dont care or they would have more staff. But even when you get help its like you are bothering them. I wont go back.

I have only seen one other eye doctor before. I recently moved to Gainesville GA and saw great reviews online for this company at the Gainesville GA location. The overall experience was okay but I definitely wish that I had visited my previous eye doctor. Immediately when walking in you can tell it is a little unorganized. Many employers were staring at people who entered and not speaking to them or acknowledging the new customer which made you feel lost and not knowing what to do next. When I did see the doctor I truly wanted to leave the appointment. The doctor did not seem pleasant to start but was respectful. She immediately had me sit in the chair and she asked me to read the lines while she examined my eyes in her machine. She didnt ask me any questions or assess further other than my answers. I voluntarily informed her that I had not seen an eye doctor or any physician for approx. 3 years now. I had had worsening vision, with headaches / migraines around my eyes and horrible light sensitivity. She sped me up. She then said ok I have your numbers for the prescription lets head to the front desk. I stopped her and asked if she had done all of the essential best practice assessments? I explained that I was told dilating the eyes can provide more answers to eye health and should be done at least once every so many years - especially for someone who has not been examined in years. I had to request she examine with dilation. She didnt seem pleased but didnt say otherwise. She dilated my eyes & waited for the process & then completed the exam. As we finished she helped me to the front and then told her coworkers that she was heading to lunch in a rush. It made me feel as if she sped through my doctor visit only for her to go to lunch. Im not even sure that she adequately examined my eyes that have had changes through the years. It truly wasnt an appointment I wish to experience again.

Waited 40+ minutes for eye exam appointment. I guess they had over scheduled because staff kept asking when they could leave for the day. I thought I was next in line as I had only been told someone would be would me shortly, but after waiting so long they took in another person before me. No updates on how much longer it would be. I had to leave at that point and let the guy at the counter know. He just shrugged without saying anything. No apology or try to reschedule. It really seemed like they just had crammed too many customers in at the end of the day.

My experience at vision works was incredible. The doctor and staff are super friendly! They listen and are very personable! Also the waiting time is super short and the process was simple! I was in and out fast and I love the contacts they put me on! They are super comfortable and I can feel a dramatic difference!! Go see them! You will love them:)

I love my glasses! I just wanted to say that I have been going here for years and have always been satisfied with product and service. But this time was different. You have such a sweet lady working on your staff that went out of her way to make sure I got exactly what I wanted and at the best price. Denise is a keeper folks! She’s great at her job, she’s very friendly and not at all afraid to be herself and get to know her customers. I highly recommend this place and ask for Denise! They was always to busy to stay with customer and help answer questions. My daughter got eyes checked they dilated her eyes then sent her out to find glasses then caused her to have major migraine headaches and all. Had to ask multi times to get help or get her some dark glasses to wear.. they seem to busy to care about patients care . Will the owner please contact me asap. Highly disappointed in the honesty of this place and employees

I was able to walk in without an appointment and see a doctor within 15 minutes or less. Everyone was extremely kind and knowledgeable, the front room staff is incredible sweet and patient. Dr. Phillip Schmitz was extremely intelligent and explained everything thoroughly. I’ll be making this my new eye doctor! Thank you for a great experience.

I’ve been going to Visionworks on Dawsonville hwy in Gainesville for four years now,even moved towards Atlanta and still come out of my way to that location.They are wonderful and always so patient with my kids.I have a Autistic eight year old who Gets anxiety when it comes to appointments that involves people being too close the personal space.He loves it there and feels comfortable and as a parent that makes me extremely happy.Thank you to the staff and especially the manager Terri who has also given my family and I a comfortable environment.

When a competitor right down the road wouldnt honor my exam appointment, I grabbed a bite of lunch and sat down to calmly find a replacement vision center. I had already taken off from work, so I was committed to the task. I needed great pricing, fresh designs and lots of inventory to choose from, and staff that actually WANTED and appreciated my business. I first went to the reviews, then to the websites to check their brands, then to the actual store sites to view sales and coupons. The acid test was an actual phone call. I wont waste your time reading why the others failed. I will just say that everyone at Visionworks ( at this location ) was a team, invested in MY satisfaction, without any hard sell. I wear glasses every waking moment, so theyre an extension of my face. The good folk at Visionworks understand this. The doc who handled the exam was friendly, took time to explain the whys and whats, and was very kind and professional. Ive begun a relationship with this group that I believe will last years. You wont be disappointed and they wont take your business for granted.

Every one there was nice and helpful, good to see all the precautions set in place to keep the people safe, like using hand sanitizer when you check in and the process of trying on glasses which they are all cleaned after they have been tried on .

10/5/2018Returned to Visionworks to get new glasses. Kendra helped me again. Gave her my budget and she took the time to dig through all of their glasses and find the ones that would work with my script and in my budget. Everyone there is so kind and friendly. Once again they get five stars!!!Went in for sunglasses. Did not push me for anything else. I noted they had 50% off sale for ALL glasses. Lady offered to call their competitor and get my script. Had to call twice to get them to send it over, but got it done. Gave me choices for lens types and did not push for most expensive one. I was very happy with the experience and can’t wait to get my new glasses.

Had a great experience here! Dr. B is wonderful, and her husband too! They figured out my visual challenges that were a bit different and redid my glasses at no cost. The staff is polite, professional and really works with you to get it right! Me and my family will keep coming here for all optical needs:)

I absolutely love all of the staff here! They always go above and beyond to keep me within my set budget (or far under it). They make sure to answer any and ALL questions that I have every single time, no matter how silly I feel my questions are. They faxed over information to find out more about Lasik. I love Kendra! She is always super friendly and awesome!

I am a new customer, and I will never go to another Visionworks store! This location has an amazing team, great doctor, stellar service, a large selection of great frames, and fantastic prices. I must highlight how wonderful Kendra has been on my initial visit and follow up visits as well. She is pleasant, courteous, very knowledgeable and helpful, and takes the customer experience to another level. I feel like I now have a partner in my eye/vision health and will always return and ask for her help. Fantastic! The manager, Terry, was also great, very attentive and helpful, and goes out of her way to take care of her customers. The entire team has a wonderful synergy and positive approach, and you can tell that they truly enjoy providing an excellent customer service experience. You will not be disappointed! I am so glad I tried them and left the mediocre service I used to get at a competitor across the street.

Former Mall of Ga patient. Very helpful staff, knowledgeable, and took time to explain every detail. Doctor, explained every procedure, asked questions, and took time in exam room. Though insurance information is gained from the onset, it makes it easier at the end to know amount due and what you can afford to purchase. A must for the family man.

This group at Gainesville GA was the best Visionworks I had every gone to!! The doctor is knowledgeable and really listens you. I tried progressive lenses for the first time and after receiving and wearing for a bit I decided they were not for me. They worked with me and issued a refund and ordered a different pair of glasses fast. They were professional but had an extremely courteous way of customer service. Because of the long drive (they are worth it) they mailed the redo pair of glasses to me. Again, this group is fantastic. I will definitely go back for all my eye needs.

Good Customer service is hard to come by now a days. Great customer service it seems is non existant. However, the customer service here was great!!! Everyone including the eye doctor, that works in the Gainesville Georgia location was super nice and very knowledgeable. Not pushy like most places and that is a huge plus for me. They all were very diligent in making sure everything was sanitize before and after anything was touched by a customer due to Covid19. Temperature checks, sanitizer, and masks were being worn. Thank you all for outstanding service!!!! I really do appreciate it!I I will definitely recommend.

I was there 5 months ago. The doctor who isnt usually there was rude and in a hurry to leave and didnt even make sure the contacts fit AFTER he changed my brand. The brand he switched me too wouldnt stay in my eyes so he said fine and was loud and rude about it and put me BACK in the brand I have wore for over 10 years. I told him I wanted multi-focals again and he said no, lets do one for up close and one for distance. It is EXTREMELY hard on my eyes and NO ONE there will listen amd do anything about it. They ordered my contacts on 12/31/2019 and here it 6/2/2020 and I STILL DO NOT HAVE MY LEFT CONTACTS. The Right ones the just sent in April. I paid IN FULL for my contacts and my glasses and my glaases dont work as they are not the right RX and they wont do anything about that either. I spent $985.78 for glasses and a year supply of contacts and have only Right Eye Contacts that partially work. I have left message after message and NO RETURN CALL. I am about to hire an attorney. I WOULDNT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL. NEVER EVER AGAIN. THEY ARE THEIVES!!!!!!

Amazing service from the time I walked in the door and was greeted with a smile, until the time I walked out the door. On a busy Saturday, I saw many people in and out in a timely manner and witnessed kindness shown by employees to each person they served. The doctor was very professional and took the time to explain to me the reason why contacts just arent a good option for me, when many doctors in the past would not give me anything more than, you cant wear contacts. I will definitely make this my new provider for vision needs.

I recently purchased my glasses/frames/eye exam from Vision Works and Im very pleased with the service...my vision now is perfect! The young lady, Kendra, who helped me was most courteous and knowledgeable. Our visit did not take that long and we enjoy the wide selection of eye wear that they offer. I had a great experience! My glasses ended up having stress marks and my prescription in the left didn’t seem right. I called and they fit me in first thing in the morning. They got it all fixed and I would go back in a heartbeat. Everyone was accommodating and tried to make sure everything was perfect! 10/10 experience.

I have been to plenty of eyeglass stores, but this is by far the best one ive been too. The employees are extremely nice and polite and they also have a great selection of frames from different reputable brands. I highly recommend that everyone goes to this store to get their eye glasses.

In my honest opinion, the staff at the Dawsonville Hwy location is super amazing. It was my daughter’s first eye test due to blurry vision. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. The doctor took his time to explain every test to my daughter, so she had a better understanding of what was happening. We managed to get her eyes tested, frames picked and measured for comfort, and glasses completely ready for wear all in one day. This truly has been my best experience at an eye appointment ever. I had a bad experience at another eyeglass store, returned those glasses and went to Visionworks. The experience in Visionworks was an absolute pleasure. The girls helped me pick out my frames, only gave their opinion when I asked for it, listened to what I wanted, gave me exactly what I asked for in my lenses, and did it all with a smile. They seem to enjoy their jobs and the General Manager, Terrie, is very personable and striving to make the experience a grand one for all her customers. Way to go Visionworks, I will return.

I had lost my prescription glasses and desperately needed a new pair for work. I drive a forklift so it’s a definite must that I have perfect vision. I was told it would take 7-10 business days to deliver and I received my glasses in 3 days. I would recommend this place to everybody! Purchased and picked up at the Gainesville location. Our insurance sent us to Visionworks but the customer service is what brought us back. The staff of the Gainesville, GA Visionworks made us feel welcome and appreciated for our business. Visionworks of Gainesville Ga. has amazing customer service! They were very patient, friendly and extremely helpful. I highly recommend them.

Completely unhelpful. Originally went to the GAINESVILLE location because it was a closer drive. Asked for a run- down of my insurance eligibility and was told that it could not be given to me because a prior authorization had already been ran even though I had never been to visionworks before; And that they would have to call my insurance. Then when I asked if I could at least schedule an appointment, with a preference for Sunday. They said that their location isn’t open on Sundays. So I asked if they could schedule an appointment for me at the Buford location, which is open Sundays. They said they couldn’t and that I would have to call them myself or go in person. So the next day I drove to the Buford location and the employee tells me that the Gainesville location could have easily scheduled the appointment for me. So it was just a matter of basic poor customer service.

This place is great after having another eye doctor tell me glasses would not do me any good they were able to help can see better than I have in years plus staff is very helpful and nice this will be the only place I go from now on.

When my husband got his eye exam. It took over almost two weeks for him to receive his glasses. When he recieved his glasses, he asked if he got a wipe included with his glasses.. They stated they were out, that for him to come later in the week on Friday, and he could come in, and have one.... Friday rolls around he comes in, they tell him he has to buy one... He complains about this, but buys it anyways... Come the following 2 weeks later, his glasses start stretching and wont stay on his nose. He calls in and they tell him to come in. He comes in, they stretch them back... And then a week later they go back to being loose again, and then the lense falls out... We call early that next morning to ask if they can fix his glasses... A lady there gives him the run around.. So i get the phone, and she finally agrees to help us.. When we come in shes kinda rude like... But agrees to fix them, and says if this happens again.. Hed had to pay?! Seriously.... Anyways this happened a third time. And, im going to file a complaint somehow for a complete new set of something else?! Shouldnt the company have a policy to where they do that if things happen like this continuesly?! So unhappy

It was a bad experience they promise a blue tech with my glasses, and they count to do it. They let me know that they can not do the work the day that I suppose to have my glasses — however, the worst of it. I asked many times, and they were unprofessional, no honesty at all.

I visited Visionworks yesterday and I was 100% satisfied. The office staff and Doctor were extremely helpful and friendly. I was a former customer at Lenscrafters in Gainesville and had been highly dissatisfied for a couple years. I will definitely be a return customer as well as my daughters to this location. Thank you all who helped me yesterday and got me in and out with excellent customer service and professionalism!

Easiest visit to the optometrist I’ve ever had. Wide selection of frames, unfortunately Oakley’s are missing. One hour turnaround on glasses if they have your lenses in stock(30 minutes for me. They weren’t very busy)

The service at Visionworks in Gainesville, GA, was fantastic! As soon as I walked in, I was warmly welcomed and the process began. I had to fill out 2 pages of information... easy. The eye exam was very thorough and professional. The only negative is the expense of glasses, but I had a coupon and the associates helped to get me the best value for the amount I wanted to spend. I ended up buying 2 pairs of glasses with all the bells and whistles (digital lenses, transitions) for $575 which is expensive but when it comes to my eyesight I’m not willing to cut too many corners. I would highly recommend Visionworks!
