Dr Kyle Balch is my Doctor, he is an outstanding surgeon, the staff was great. So far removal of. Cataract on my right eye. It was so easy for me as a patient. I have so much clarity in my right eye. Color and objects are more vivid This is day 3 after surgery. I’m in a situation like mono vision right eye distance, left eye reading, with my glasses. I popped my right lens out. I have my eye drops with alarms set on my phone. I drive with no glasses, I haven’t had any pain. And I do use my polarized covers when outside. I can’t wait to get my left eye done. This is awesome.

Horribly rude office staff. For absolutely no reason at all the Dr. sent me a very nasty letter saying he had withdrawn as my physician and please do not call or come to the office. This is ABSOLUTELY BIZARRE being that the last time we communicated in person he was very friendly. The only reason they sent me this letter was because I had to wait to have eye surgery until December when I could take time off work and have a family member available afterwards BUT the doctor wanted to perform surgery that month, almost as if he needed the money desperately to pay a bill or something. I am SHOCKED at the treatment I received. REALLY? A certified letter to drop me as a patient because I needed a few months to plan a major surgery? WOW

Dr. Z was amazing. I am so thrilled with my vision. Having my surgery made me realize how great my vision could be. He is very professional and caring and so is his staff. I would highly recommend him to all my family and friends. His surgery center he operates from is just as fantastic as his office!!! If you need an eye doctor or surgeon, HE IS THE ONE!

Dr. Zelram and the medical staff at the eyecare center for Gainesville Eye Physicians are top notch. I had cataracts removed from both eyes within one month of each other and now see 20/20 in each. Could not ask for better care. I highly recommend him and his team to anyone seeking eye surgery for cataracts and lens implants.

March 17, 2021 I made a REFUNDABLE deposit ( demanded ) for cataract surgery on/about March 24,2021. MY insurance firm paid the claim ( I have the ID number ) on/about April 24, 2021. I have requested my refundable deposit immediately on/about that later date. Office manager states the REFUNDABLE deposit must come from Surgery Partners and NOT Gainesville Eye Associates and she must wait on their action. I made an additional REFUNDABLE deposit for the second surgery on April 14, 2021, insurance company has paid that claim too, I have the ID number. I have asked for that REFUNDABLE deposit also. Beware, you will provide a REFUNDABLE deposit to Gainesville Eye Associates but the refundable deposit must come from Surgery Partners and you can not speak with them per office manager Debbie at GEP. My suggestion is to move on even through the doctor is a great surgeon.

My left eye cataract evaluation, surgery and post office visits experiences was great. The staff and Dr. Zeglam helped calm my nerves and explained the whole procedure along with my different options. They were kind and willing to answer any and all questions I had. If you need to see an excellent ophthalmologist, I highly recommend this office. When the time comes to have the right eye done or any other ophthalmology needs, I know I am in good hands with Dr. Zeglam and his staff.

I have been going to Gainesville eye physicians and Dr. Balch for many years and never had an issue until last year when I had my cataract surgery. I have lived in the same place that I’m living for four years I call up this year for my eye exam and I am embarrassed to find out that I have a $247 bill that wasn’t paid by my insurance company . When I called for an appointment this year I was informed of this bill. No one has called me nor have I gotten any notices in the mail because they never changed my address from four years ago. They always ask me if my address is changed and I always tell them what my address is and apparently they never changed it. Out of sheer embarrassment of just having something at collections I will never go back to Gainesville eye physicians again. As far as I’m concerned their office is incompetent. Don’t get me wrong I really like Dr. Balch but I’m just so embarrassed I’m not going back.

I had been going to Gainesville Eye Physicians for quite a while and thought they were really good. Was I wrong!!!!On three separate visits I was told by two of their top physicians, that I had a floater in my left eye, and I would more or less have to live with it????My vision in my left eye was a total blur and I was having a hard time trying to do anything, it was that bad.I went to see Dr. Snodgrass.After my in depth exam, I met with Dr. Snodgrass and he told me that it was not a floater in my left eye, it was a cataract, and he could fix it.I had the cataract surgery done by him on both of my eyes and now I have 20-20 vision.I wholly recommend Dr. Snodgrass. His staff is excellent.If I could give a minus 10 for Gainesville Eye Physicians, I would have done it.I am so happy that I went for a second opinion.Joseph Dolby

I brought my mother here for eye surgery. The process was easy, all things explained in detail, and not a question left unanswered. She loves the Dr and the staff, as do I. After surgery her vision improved so much. She even talks about colors she did not know existed (or that she had not seen in many many years).

I saw Dr. Resado as a new patient, she explained everything to me very thoroughly so that I understood and her exam was very thorough. Her staff was very efficient during my visit. I was surprised that my wait time was practically non existent. Id highly recommend this eye doctor. I chose not to get my glasses there due to not having what I was looking for but the young lady in the optical department was very nice and was super patient with me.

I woke up with an eye emergency and my regular eye place could not see me. The girl on the phone here told me to come in right away - I was seen and taken back just minutes after arriving.The female physician I saw treated me with great care and spent a lot of time with me. I will be switching to this place and leaving my old eye doctor behind. I do suggest everyone do the same!

Dr. Balch and his entire team are excellent!! From the time you walk in and greeted by the staff through post surgery have what refer to as efficiency of movement. There is no wasted time with this team who made me feel well taken care of throughout this process. I came in very nervous butDr. Balch was so positive and confident I quickly felt in great hands. I cannot say enough about how wonderful this was for me. He gave me a the eyes I had hoped for and a new life to finally see!!

I was seen for metal in my eye from working in the yard. I was told to come in and was seen right away. Dr Rasodo took great care of me and my eye. I called 3 other offices before coming here and they all wanted to push me to another day or later in the day. I will be back

I have been a patient at GEP for over 25 years and my mother and dad even before then. Their staff is wonderful and their physicians are SUPER. They give you all the attention and time that you need and are eager to answer any questions you might have. The Optical Shop adjoining this practice is a wonderful place as well. Their selection of frames and courtesy and knowledge of their staff is great too. All around, you cant go wrong being a patient here!! I was particularly impressed with their latest addition - Dr. Brenda Rosado. If all physicians were like her, no one would mind going to the doctors office! Thank you all!!!!

Came to try contacts bc Ive never had them only glasses. I saw a female doctor who spent a lot of time with me. She did a lot of tests to figure out the right contact for me and put in a couple to find what was most comfortable for me. She had spent a long time teaching me how to use them and made sure I was ok using them before I left. It was a good experience and I appreciated her patience.

Dr. Balch is a very caring doctor. He answered all of my questions when I went with my grandmother to her appointment for a cataract evaluation. She had surgery on both eyes and they were both successful. The office staff is great along with the techs.

Saw Dr Zeglam, got a same day appt, in and out in 1.5 hrs. Dr was thorough and explained everything well. Staff was helpful and courteous. Would see them again..

We have been going to this office for three generations of our family. Dr. Catlin, is a fine doctor and a very good man. He is retiring and my last check up was with his replacement Dr. Quinn. Not good. Since the checkup, where I was told I did not need a change in prescription, I have been unable to see clearly. I told Dr. Quinn that I felt like I needed a change in prescription but was not given one. I just called the office and ask to see Dr. Catlin who is working 2 days a week until his retirement in Aug. and the receptionist was rude to me. She did not say anything nicely and told me basically it was tough luck that I dont feel good about my check up... I am going to leave this practice now and find a new office. So a young passive aggressive women has just ended a three generation relationship with this practice... so there you go...

I have been here a few times for some eye issues. Staff was friendly & took adequate time to explain things to me. I recommend Dr. Rosado or Dr. Zeglam! Both are great doctors. I have seen both of them & its hard to choose which I would prefer!!

Ive always had a great experience with both doctors in the practice, Dr. Balch and Dr. Rosado are very knowledgeable and help ease your mind with any concerns you might be having.

In my opinion, the administrative staff has a great deal of room for improvement in the protocol and demeanor department. If you enjoy filling out redundant information forms without the staff asking you if anything has changed, then you will love this place. Their forms ingeniously cram three pages of data questions into a two page form. You know the ones where you have to write in micro letters because the blanks do not allow sufficient space for the answers required. Holy hand cramp! In some practices, they simply hand you an iPad© with all your relevant data on it and you approve it or correct it on the spot. No waste of paper! Want records? A six minute task will take days and expect a fee.

You always want to be assured that your doctor has ethics and is always looking out for your health and well being. Gainesville Eye Physicians (Dr. Kyle Balsh) has proved that his practice is not concerned with either. My mother is a patient of Dr. Fanous, who recently left the practice (Gainesville Eye Physicians).....two days before my mothers appointment, Gainesville Eye Physicians called my mother to confirm her appointment with Dr. Fanous knowing that he was no longer a doctor there. When I asked the girl at the front desk why they did that....her reply was that Dr. Kyle Balsh transferred all of Dr. Fanous patients over to another doctor in the practice. The issue is that the so called doctor is only an optometrist and my mother has serious eye issues that require a specialist. Dr. Fanous office informed me upon arrival that Gainesville Eye Physicians, were not cooperating with Dr. Fanous and wouldnt send over his schedule or patient records. Doesnt seem like they care much about my mothers health or well being.

Unbelievably rude staff. Office manager refused to call my husband back. They took 1,050 for two pairs of glasses and we have nothing. They didnt work and had a gap between the frame and lenses. Will not give us our money back so he can go somewhere else to get glasses. We have to take this to small claims court. Beware buying glasses from this place and how the office manager handles problems.

Friendly staff, but the wait is always way too long.

I went to Gainesville Eye Physicians knowing that I needed cataract surgery. Dr. Zeglam examined me and, as expected told me I should have surgery prior to the middle of next year. He reviewed the three different options available, explaining the strengths and issues of each option, and the prices as well. I chose an option, based on his advice. I recently had the surgery and found it to be exactly as was described. The procedures and care by Dr. Zeglam were performed professionally and considerate of my needs. I have been highly pleased with the outcome and the treatment of the Dr. Zeglam and the support staff. I highly recommend Gainesville Eye Physicians
