What can I say about Joe. I had an issue with my Audi car battery. The Dealership was going to charge me $255 for the battery and $255 to install the battery. Joe was able to get the battery from the dealership for $190 and installed it to my car without a charge. Joe is a real lifesaver because he is part of a dying breed of Mechanics that are honest and know what they are doing.

Joe and his team is knowledgeable and they deal you what you need to hear, the good the bad and the ugly truth about your car. Ill continue to take my car here even though its out of my way, and I suggest you do the same.

Car problems? Lingering problems that no one can diagnose and fix? Call International Motor Group (IMG) immediately and speak with SAL!! I’ve finally found an honest, caring, knowledgeable, understanding mechanic; one who puts customers’ needs first. I called Sal because my Lincoln refused to start … again. Even though it was my first time calling him, Sal politely allowed me to bring car in same day for diagnosis. After diagnosing the defective part as a major component – the brains of the car (PCM) – which was replaced by the dealer a year ago and was under warranty, he didn’t try to pretend it was something else for which he could trump up repair charges. Through confirmation of my old work records, Sal called the dealer for me, explained the problem, and sent me there. He treated me as a family member – even though it was my first time there. My sincerest appreciation to Sal and team for taking care of me and my car. They will be hearing from me again. THANK YOU SAL!

These guys are really special. They took my car and analyzed the situation and gave me the step by step breakdown of the repairs and parts needed. The cost was a fraction of what the dealers would charge for a german import (Audi). I highly recommend them if youre in the area. They even will take a ride with you to diagnose the problems and offer a ride to work if your nearby. They are undoubtedly the best in the area. two thumbs up big time!

I do not write reviews unless I am absolutely blown away by a business. For absolutely no reason at all, with no chance of repeat business or referrals as I live very far from the location of the shop, Sal and his son took care of me like I was family. Not only did I feel extremely comfortable bringing my BMW E46 m3 that they inspected before purchase, because of their incredibly extensive knowledge of the vehicle but I just felt like I was bringing it to a family member. They totally had my back unlike most shops when I feel like I have to be ready to negotiate with the mechanic. I instantly knew I was in great hands. The only downside to my experience with IMG was that I wish they were closer to Long Island because I would never bring my car anywhere else. Hands down best, most professional experience I have ever had at an auto body shop.

Joe is hands-down a great guy and theres no question about it! If you have had one too many bad experiences with auto-mechanics, then youll be surprised with the sheer genuine human experience you get from Joe! He is no-nonsense and also very nice and friendly. The first time our car had a problem, our wonderful neighbor suggested him and we brought our car over. He said hed have to keep the car for a couple of days to evaluate. He made sure to drive our car, take it for a good spin, evaluated it, spent time with it and did not charge a dime! We have brought our car regularly to him for whatever issues that have risen. I am happy to recommend him for your auto-woes! He will make it, auto-wows! Cheesy but true! Give Joe a try!

I called IMG after a used car I purchased repeatedly failed inspection at the dmv bc of the computers not being ready. I spoke with Sal and he was so kind and willing to help. I almost thought his kindness was too good to be true. I called and visited a few other mechanic shops before IMG and they were not as pleasant/helpful. After about 4 weeks of driving around and coming back to IMG to see if the computers were finally ready to pass inspection, my Jeep was finally ready for an inspection sticker! During this time Sal and his team also discovered/repaired the electrical wires under my hood that had been chewed through by rodents. For all future vehicle maintenance I’ll be going to IMG. Great customer service and mechanics who actually care.

When my mom’s Saab’s “check engine light” came on I was at my wits end. I was in town from California moving mom from a hospital to rehab and I had no idea where to go.I was so happy I listened to the wisdom of the crowd and reached out to the folks at IMG.Sal and Joe run an honest to goodness family business and clearly earned all the good words that had been written by other reviewers. Peter was my go to guy and he was straightforward and informative .I felt that IMG folks looked out for me and my mom. I was a woman alone, out of town, frazzled - perfectly teed-up for a rip-off. These guys not only did not take advantage of me, they helped me out by fixing my mom’s car ASAP on July 3 ( and believe me, their shop is jammed with cars) and they charged me a super reasonable rate.I love these guys! I wish I lived in the area. I would always take my cars to them

I was stuck in Weehawken, 3 hours from home with a bad bubble in my tire. Sal/Joe and the IMG team went out of there way to make sure I was taken care of; getting a set of my tires delivered within a few hours of contacting them and then getting me in to get them mounted, balanced, etc. I cant believe that I slept at home, last night. I thought for sure this was going to a multiple day project. I have never seen service like this, before. I look forward to being part of their customer base, moving forward. Thank you, IMG !!

We gotta say, Sal is the best mechanic We’ve ever known, We got our Mercedes C300 2009 on a Friday to his shop coming from the Mercedes dealership and We can’t say anything nice about them, my car was more than a week and they didn’t do anything, the excuse was that they work by appointment so your car has to be waiting for more than 2 months and We don’t have another car!!so he kindly help us out right away, he order a new part and my car was ready the next Monday and it was a holiday, he is soooo nice!!!We are so glad we found him! Thank you Sal!

Ok so where do I start, I brought my car here twice once for A service which was oil change, fluids and filters for Mercedes B C300, because of all the good reviews I chose to come here. Charged me $300 ok seemed reasonable. Second time (last time) I had the check engine sign on for a while due to loose gas cap, which I replaced it with new gas cap from the dealer. I explained to Joe what I did, and he reset the check engine sign.. for me and mentioned if it comes up again, bring it back.And Ofcourse, sad to say the check engine came back, and Joe tested my car with the computer did diagnostic and gives me a paper telling me I need a new alternator????? WHAT?! And replace the selenoid piece, which total for all was $600 plus $400 total $1000 WITHOUT labor!!! As a female, most mechanics will take me or any female for granted!!! Especially if you explained everything about what has been done, or what can be the issue and as the owner of your car, you have full rights to explain yourself what has been changed or done and etc..And when I did explained all of this to Sal (other owner) on the phone, he said “ Don’t try to be a mechanic”...??? Which I found it funny and freaking rude! I was just explaining what could or maybe the issue is, as I do watch videos and educate myself on everything mostly.I try, and I explained to him how do I need an alternator ?? my car has been running for a year with a check engine light. And BTW, a bad Alternator your car can’t even start and it won’t keep running!!!!Ofcourse, Joe told me he also did a smoke test and found NO leak anywhere or air leak or anything like that. Btw that was a lie, Becuz I just recently did a smoke test with another mechanic and there was a air leak! Anyhow back to speaking to Joe I said how can it be the Alternator,?!? It can’t be..That doesn’t make sense!!It’s gets me so angry and upset how this place wants the costumer to trust them at first visit and when you become loyal costumer they sure do know how to stab and rip your pocket!!So it took me a while to write this review, however I did went to another mechanic, and found out I needed to change Gas Canister which was cracked, and it was leaking air, which was tested with a SMOKE TEST! I have been driving Happy with no check engine sign!!! And again I DO NOT NEED A NEW ALTERNATOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Thank you for taking the time reading this bad experience of mine with IMG Mechanic!

Went there today FOR THE FIRST TIME and spoke with joe about an issue with my truck. He was Very kind and honest... The truth is these guys deserve six stars and are beyond professional and informative.I purchased a car from a local used car dealership and took it to IMG for a pre-purchase inspection not knowing the area or the garage at all, other than reading all the positive reviews online. I spoke to Sal when I called and he was welcoming and responsive, telling me to bring the car in whenever I was ready. I called Sal with only 15 minutes lead time on the day of purchase and he took the car in immediately, giving it a full inspection and diagnostic test, even hoisting it up on the lift and giving it a test drive. He and Petes feedback was invaluable and allowed me to further negotiate the purchase price on a used 2009 BMW X3 in good condition, with a few upkeep-related concerns. Do not hesitate to bring your vehicle to IMG. These guys are great! And the peace of mind is priceless.

Sal always does a great job with our cars. Several years ago we had a chronic problem with our Suburban SUV, and after Chevrolet failed three times to solve the problem we took it to Sal and he sorted it out. That was the first time we worked with IMG. Weve gone to him many times since with different cars. Most recently he just fixed the screen on our Mercedes. Hes honest, reliable and very good at what he does. You wont regret being his customer.

I called and they were very helpful over the phone not pushy like most shops that want you to bring the car in and inspect it and then hit you with a price. So I called about getting a price range (its unfair to expect an exact quote without inspection) and they were very helpful. They took down the code and my information and promptly called me back. They even printed me out a sheet with the full run down of the problem. This was a code on a VW I was considering buying. They offered me some advice on if I should proceed, no. And they refused to quote a price because they knew it wasnt worth me buying the car and the bill would be astronomical. I appreciated that they kept it real. This shop seems to be very busy so I would suggest making an appointment especially since if I had proceeded with buy the car the first date I could get it in was about 4 days out.

Cant say enough good things about them. I have been going to them for at least 20 years. They fix my car problems and the problem never occurs again. They have inspected cars for me prior to me buying, They have gone out of their way many many times to get my car fixed as soon as possible especially since driving all the time is part of my job. They always try to find a part cheaper but not a cheap part. I dont mind paying for a better part because I know it will last and it does. You cant find a better, more reliable, more trustworthy, mechanic. They are the best at what they do!!!..
