Fred and Mark are awesome. Smart, knowledgeable and just all around good guys. Very helpful, friendly, and fun to talk to. This was my first time and I already ordered more. Lots of vinyl records different weights qualities new and used. They have a lot given their modest size but have access to a warehouse that can get even the most eclectic stuff. If you like music and like to talk about music and like making friends then go here and stay here for about an hour. Just be prepared to have a good time.

Person working was pretty knowledgeable. We found everything we needed for my guy’s music taste. I wish there were a bit more variety... like Parliament on vinyl. If you like a certain genre of music only, this is a great place.

My best friend and I visited this establishment several times during the COVID19 pandemic and this was the 1st and last time that we will ever be and feel disrespected again. We first started going to Slick Disc back in June of 2020. The staff was friendly, helpful and they had a nice variety of music. We were taught that the 1st impression is important and they made a good impression on us. So yes we kept going back. But today (Monday, January 18, 2021, we were DISRESPECTED in one of the worst ways possible. As soon as we walked into the store, an older lady that worked there demanded that we use the sanitizer right away. Now with the pandemic going on and the new strands that has come about we didnt take it the wrong way. My friend instantly used their sanitizer that they had at the counter and I used my personal supply. As we were walking around looking for records to purchase, we noticed that the variety of music has decreased TREMENDOUSLY. In other words their selection didnt target BLACK people as well. In addition to the music selection, we noticed that other people were coming in and no one barked at them and demanded them to use sanitizer right away. We looked around and as usual for the Trenton area, we were the ONLY BLACK people there. So with the DISRESPECT that was given to us, we turned around and left the store. We didnt make a fuss, disrespect anyone, because one we ARE better than that and why waste our ENERGY on someone who is highly IGNORANT and too OLD to know any better. We were taught that our money can spend anywhere and Slick Disc has truly lost a VALUABLE customer. We gained by not spending our money. Theyve lost by losing valuable customers!!!

Slick Disc has been my local record shop for many years. Prices are a little on the high side in comparison to some of the other stores in SE Michigan, but their location and reliability make up for it. Rob, Casey, and Mark know their stuff and are eager to please!! Drop in on them!!

I like their selwction of records here, its a very cool and cozy vintage record shop. theyve got some rare records that i couldnt find anywhere else, but its a cool place.

Big Rob Slick has been keeping downriver in good tunes since the 90s so this place is somewhere between ‘Michigan’s best kept secret’ and ‘completely legendary’. They stock just about every style and era of music you can imagine. Vinyl diggers rejoice - they’ve doubled the size of their LP stock! Love that I can pick up guitar strings and incense while I’m here as well.

Great place with very cool Rock tees, posters, CDs & LPs and more. I ordered a Led Zeppelin block light because it was out of stock and got it within a week. Thank you to the great staff at Slick Disc!!!

One of my favorite places in the world I just wish they brought in more new CDs. theres tons of interesting, underground and reissued stuff being released every day but you mostly have to order it from them

Everyone that works here is awesome. Any time in the last 15 years ive needed a cd id go their and if they didnt have it they could get it. Its also affordable so much so i usually buy two cds at a time and dont walk away feeling like i got skunked.

Let me start by saying I love slick disc, Ive been going there since I was really young and my brothers would go there to get skateboard equipment. I went in there yesterday to see what the price was for a Captive Bead Ring(An earring), and one of the employees(Seemed to be the only one there), and although having a bit of an attitude with me, Helped me and took out the tray of jewelry and asked which one I wanted the price for. I picked one up and showed it to him before setting it back in the box. I told him I didnt have enough(Five bucks for a small steel 16g cbr), and told him I would come back when I had more money, and immediately he asked me what I did with it(Despite that he was right in front of me and clearly saw me set it back in the tray), when I told him I had set it back in, he repeatedly asked if I was sure. After asking him If he wanted to check my pockets he very rudely answered no. I was really upset because I love slick disc and the whole atmosphere. Not sure I will be going back after the way I was treated.*Nov 17 Still have never gone back, if you need horseshoe or CBR rings buy them online. You get around 25 for the price Slick Disk wants for just one.

Looove this store.. couldnt find a cd for my boyfriends dad (ted nugent double live gonzo) found this store, called them and they had the cd and set it aside for me until i could come get it.. when i purchased the one i asked if they had another so i could get it for my boyfriend, they said no but would order it for me and call me when it came in.. i was busy the week they received it but they held onto it for me until i could get there the following week. i took my boyfriend to slick disk and he also fell in love with it the moment he walked in.. i will continue to go there and recommend slick disc to others and i know my boyfriend will too.. keep up the good work guys
