One of the best lumber mills around. They have a huge selection of basically everything you could want. They specialize in domestic hardwoods but theyve got all kinds of exotics as well.Super friendly and helpful staff. Very high quality woods.

Ive been going to Willard Brothers for almost 20 years now. Ive seen the old and the new owners adjust with the changing times and economy. Excellent selection of all types of species and slabs. Prices are not the cheapest but the quality and selection far outweighs trying to find it at other places or buying online. I highly recommend visiting Willard Brothers.

Excellent selection of slabs and dimensional lumber of many hard to find species. Some available in S4S, but most seemed to be S2S (totally good for me!).The employees were very friendly, even showing me how the calculated board feet. They cut a shorter piece of white oak and would do it on any piece so long as 6ft was still left on the board.Had a decent chat with the clerk while we loaded the small amount of lum we into my car.Will absolutely return again!

Called three times and no answer, drove there and walked around the shop for 20 minutes by myself. I finally found an employee in the back office and he told me to wait and someone would be right out, another 15 minutes and still no help. I left with another customer who was equally frustrated.

Good service

I have been to their shop a few times to research different wood species for a project at home, and due to COVID-19, could not return to the shop (their shop is AWESOME, when COVID-19 stops, its worth the visit!). However, I was able to locate a wood slab in the online showroom, and review the project requirements over the phone with them. They delivered the product to our house and it FAR exceeded expectations. Their communication, workmanship, and final product are second to none. Cant wait to do some more projects around the home with their help!

Was in town from MD, did a search for a nearby lumber yard and found this jewel! Great selection regardless of what you’re looking for and the prices were comparatively reasonable. Definitely will be a place that I visit when anywhere near by. Tobias was great to work with, very knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. Thanks again!

My husband and I decided to tackle making our own dining table. We did some research and headed down to the lumbar yard. We were greeted by Tobias who took the time to really explain to us different types of wood and what would be best for our application. He even stayed late while I looked through the wood planks he had ordered. Great experience and knowledgeable staff. Highly recommend.

Ordered a beautiful piece (and expensive) of wood for a fireplace mantle. When we received the final product there was a terrible and obvious line straight across the wood on one side. About 1/4 of the wood was darker. They left our piece sitting in the sun where the section became progressively darker than the rest. Their solution? Put the whole piece in the sun. No resolution. Will never buy from them again.

Willard has an excellent selection of US and exotic hard wood lumber to choose from. Staff are helpful to help select the best species for your project. You can find better prices but not better quality.

So helpful and friendly, they took my class of students on a tour of the entire grounds -- the workshop, mill, and showrooms -- explaining the process and history of the place. Look for Tobias and Jeff on the weekends!

The most unprofessional people to deal with.I suggest you spend your money at a business that will appreciate you and will treat you with respect.There are so many places in NJ to buy wood from. Oh and one other thing, there are no prices on their items, so when you offer or try to negotiate, he complains. Put prices on your items and they’ll be no issue. Do your research, there are plenty of great businesses out there with great items and prices.These people are full of themselves.

Great selection and laid back staff willing to help but no pressure to buy. Loads of odd cutoffs to look through, perfect for a woodturner like myself. Even offered up some additional end cuts that werent just laying around. Ill be back for sure. Came for the purple heart, went home with some wenge and spalted pear as well.
