Ive been to many auto repair places over my lifetime, but these guys are by far the best. Their customer service is wonderful. They are courteous, friendly and treat you with respect.I have had multiple repairs done to my vehicles over a few years since I found this shop and they have been consistently great.When investigating an issue they take their time to go through the vehicle to determine the correct issue instead of just throwing parts at it. Recently my vehicle had an intermittent issue, they spent a day and a half trying to determine the issue, but as it wasnt happening at the time they returned the vehicle to me without charge. I couldnt be happier with AAMCO. They have a customer for life!!

Monty helped me with some concerns I had about my transmission. This guy displayed seriously top notch customer service and I really believe he cared about my concern for my car. He had 2 separate mechanics check the transmission to get an unbiased reporting back and they both reported the transmission is in good condition. I almost felt bad not paying this place for the service they gave me. Besides this the reason I came to this shop in the first place was because Monty displayed excellent customer service on the phone as well, in comparison to the other 5 shops I called who didn’t really seem to bothered to ask questions and engage with me like Monty did. Can’t say enough about the experience and I obviously really value good service because it’s getting harder and harder to come by for some reason. The reviews speak for themselves but I wanted to write a long review to explain how great Monty was in detail for those reading through reviews. He was sincere, efficient, professional, more knowledgeable than anyone else I called, AND nice! Imagine that! Every business should be looking for a Monty hahaha. He is just terrific!

Extremely kind courteous and professional individuals who assisted me in diagnosing issues that I was having with my transmission. The store manager was very honest and upfront about exactly what was going on with my transmission and what repairs that I would need. He even followed up with some wonderful emails letting me know that even if I’m in a pinch they have programs that can help me and assist me in keeping my vehicle running. I have used many other shops in the past. I always felt all they wanted from me was my money. And after picking up my car there was always things not right. When I tried AAMCO Taylorsville, Monty and even his guys treated me like I was one of them, like I was with friends. What really was nice was they actually listen to me and were always willing to explain everything and show it all to me. Even when they are extremely busy,( Which is always ) Monty takes the time to make sure I understand what they need to do and did do. These guys are not the cheapest out there but, they shouldn’t be ! because I’ve learned to get the higher quality work and parts it costs just little more. After many problems and rebuilds on my transmission, AAMCO and their very educated and professional team, finally figured out what was going on when no one else could. Someone recommended AAMCO to me after I had a frustrating experience with a different mechanic. I am so glad I brought my car here. Dustin replaced my motor mounts (and graciously ignored all the goldfish cracker crumbs in my car) and Monty was super helpful and pleasant to work with. Will definitely be going back.

The manager Monty was the most polite and professional person I’ve ever worked with. I’m very weary of visiting mechanic shops because of how many times I’ve been lied to. I went to two different shops. The first told me I needed to replace a knock sensor as well as a timing belt but Monty told me it was just a simple O2 sensor replacement. I will never go anywhere else.

I brought my car in for Intermittent transmission issues. On the phone they were excellent and gave a very clear description of their process. I used the early morning drop box to leave my car so I didn’t have to take time off work. My uncooperative car decided to work perfectly for them and they were unable to duplicate the issue. They tried 3 times throughout the day to duplicate the issue when most would have stopped after one try. But what impressed me the most was their integrity. I know very little about transmissions and it would have been very easy to lie and say xyz is the problem and taken my money. But they were honest and very easy to work with. I will return here when my transmission decides to stop being shy and act up again.

We have always been treated fairly in the past here. The pricing on work we have had done is always comparable to other places or less. We have also loved the option of dropping off our cars and using the drop box. Although it is never fun when we have to use it, but it makes in those situations. Really the only bad thing I can say about this place at this time is that they are not open on Mondays.

I didnt expect to bring my car in at 10 am and not get it back until closing the following day, Ill admit that was extremely frustrating. As frustrating as it was, I wouldnt have wanted them to rush through their work and leave out the quality either. My car is 11 years old this May, and I can no longer say that it runs like an 11 year old car after my visit. I took my car in for a transmission flush and some new brakes, now it runs/shifts smooth and theres no more heads turning to look at me every time I tap my brakes. Brakes digging into the rotars is not the kind of grinding any man wants in his life, and Im glad I dont have to deal with it anymore. Their prices are a little escalated, but go in and read the plaque on their wall behind the desk if you have a problem with it. Honest, quality work and they did my brakes for half the price Les Schwab quoted me.

AAMCO of Taylorsville just serviced our truck. We were very impressed with this shop, the staff, and the quality of the work. Monty was very responsive and provided regular updates, including a clear description of what was wrong and the actions to complete the repair. I’m not sure which mechanic worked on our truck, but we are pleased with the work. We will visit this shop again and would recommend to our friends.

Took care of us quickly and rebuilt the engine of my husbands truck within a week. Expensive but then we knew it would be, but gave us a really good deal on it. Would definitely recommend.

Took in our minivan to get a diagnostic because transmission was having problems they were Honest and up front about pricing. I called around and their prices were about the going rate. I would have had them do the work had I not had a friend who could swap the trans out for me for a rebuilt trans with warranty for less cost.

This review would be 10 pages long if I told my whole story so Ill just make it short. First of all I LOVE MY CAR so when my car started making a grinding noise and started to vibrate (in short) I had takin my car to 4 Auto repair shops including FORD which my car is a Ford but no one could find the problem . I was down for 3 months and sense Ford thought it was the transmission I took it to AAMCO TRANSMISSION only a block away from home on 3692 west 5400 south TAYLORSVILLE and was I surprised . These guys took it to another level in finding the problem and fixing it . I would like to say thanks again to the Manager Monty and the guys Dustin and Kyle. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS shop over any in the Valley. I WILL NOT TAKE MY CAR TO ANY OTHER SHOP..

I dont write reviews, I just use them to decide whether or not to decide if I am going to use the place. The reviews here did not disappoint. I felt inclined to share my experience with Monty and the crew there at AAMCO. Highly professional, down to earth people.I came in with my daughters Jeep Liberty with over 240K miles on it with a transmission pump whining noise when cold. I usually work on all of my vehicles, but transmissions I dont mess with too much. The whole process from the beginning to end was well discussed so that there were no surprises. I really appreciated that. In the end it was decided to just drop the pan and inspect the filter (fluid was tested and ok). I was worried with replacing the fluid due to the age and mileage of the vehicle and not knowing if a fluid change had ever been done. This could have caused issues in and of itself. They were very knowledgeable and aware of thisTurns out the filter looked as though it was pulled in like it was plugged. Replaced filter and the small amount of fluid lost with the pan drain and all was good. Part of the reason I waited to write this review was to ensure the issue was gone. Again, all of the upfront free diagnosis and talking through everything was just what I wanted. I dont want someone to feed me a bunch of BS, if there was something Monty wasnt sure about he was upfront with that and we agreed on a path forward together.Great Team!

Beginning with the manager, Monty...he’s just a really good guy, who’s patient and knowledgeable and accommodating. They serviced my A/C perfectly and it was much needed in the brutal SLC summer! One day soon after that service, I was off to work and discovered my tire was completely flat. I managed to make it to AAMCO and Monty greeted me in my desperation to get back on the road to work. I am a flight attendant so time was of the essence. They had me back on the road with my spare in a matter of minutes—even having to bring down a vehicle off the lift in order to help me out. Get this...Monty REFUSED ANY KIND OF PAYMENT! Being in customer service for years, I really appreciate it when good service is received. They rock in Taylorsville and they’ve created a fan and loyal customer.

I live by at least 2 other mechanics but I always come to this one and I always ask for Monty. He always breaks it down for me and gives me honest estimates.

Monty and crew are true professionals, I have had a transmission rebuilt in my 1996 Dodge diesel truck (1 year ago) and it has been running like new, probably be able to keep the truck another 23 years if the body doesnt fall off...Just took my 2012 Chrysler 300 in to them, had it in another shop for two weeks prior, well Monty and crew pointed out and fixed things in the car the other shop haphazardly threw together...I trust Monty and crew and I have found my new shop for all my rides...Price and quality of work is unsurpassed

We love our Jeep and unfortunately the transmission was pretty much done ....we were debating in just buying a new car cuz the fixed was kind of expensive but we talked and trusted completely in Monty who was ver professional and walked us through every single step, he made us feel secure and was following up with us in every step/he called left messages, was very patient and explain what to do after Jeep was done ....we had so many other expenses with life in general but he made sure we got the best value on a great time matter ....I’m so glad we found this shop cuz they care and treat you with respect. Definitely worth it, he saved us a lots of money cuz we could get a new car but leaving us with a huge debt. Thanks for giving us a hand!

I’m always leery taking my car to a mechanic, especially one I’ve not been to before. I’ve had bad experiences in the past, overcharged, bad workmanship etc but luckily I found AAMCO in Taylorsville last week and I could not be happier.Monte helped me and he was the best. He is honest, explained everything to me, Answered my questions and kept me informed of the progress.I highly recommend this shop and will def be a repeat customer.Keep up the great work Monte :)

We have taken the car in here a few times and I feel they are trustworthy and have good customer service. Could do a little better on getting in contact with us though when the car has been looked at or when they are finished with it.

Took my truck down in the morning on Thursday because they gave me 3-4 hrs to change the filter, adjust the transmission, and add new fluid. The truck was dropped off at 9:30 am. Here it is the next day: my truck wasnt done. But they did call to tell me that I had all these leaks on my truck. Funny, it was parked in a parking lot and there was a puddle underneath? Well its been parked in my driveway almost 3 days straight and no puddles. Thanks for trying to scam us. I just want my truck back you know from the 3-4 hours that was promised. Oh wait, thats how you make your money. Now I need to find any place else if I ever need to get a new transmission because Im never returning. I would love to find an actual honest place, but looks like that is in a fantasy world.Update: apparently coolant is made of just water. It evaporates. I also know that it leaves a stain behind. Have overflowed my truck many of times. But they say theres too much wrong with my truck to work on it. Its a 2006, says theres leaks at all the seals, oh and that a pin is broken in the transfer case. I put my hand out to see the pictures of the puddle! But water evaporates. Hey, he never showed me those pictures. Ive looked under my truck when I walk outside, actually just checking the tires after work, I work in an industrial area and can driver over nails or such. Never seen this puddle after leaning down with a flashlight in the front. But again, he never showed me the pictures.

These guys open at 8, I had an appointment to drop my car off at 8:30. Apparently they had a meeting when I walked in. They acknowledged me but kept talking in their meeting. All I wanted to do was drop my car off, but I waited another ten minutes so they could finish their meeting and attend to me. It took me 60 seconds to give them the information they needed so I could drop my car off. Clearly the customer doesnt come first for these guys.And then they were just going to check things with a headlight issue I cant seem to tackle on my own. They said theyd give me a call and not charge me anything at that point. Great, Im all for it. I noticed after driving by an hour later that they moved my car from the spot I had parked it in. But I hadnt received a call. I thought maybe they just moved it. 11:30 rolls around (three hours after the appointment to just get a diagnosis before they do anything) and I just wanted my car back. I called in to check on it, they said they would call me back. I waited an hour, no call. At this point it has been four hours after my appointment to check a headlight. I just went in to grab my car. I got my car, they gave me no explanation. At least they didnt charge me anything, I was just without a car for half a day and they didnt seem to have any urgency in giving me an update. Their customer service is non-existent. I just moved close by, Ill certainly be driving farther just to avoid these guys when car issues pop up in the future.But Im sure whoever responds to these reviews will have a perfectly reasonable explanation as to why their customer service sucks and that in the end, Im the real problem. Or maybe they cant find my name after extensively checking their records. If you ask these guys, theyve never made a mistake when it comes to car service....just own it guys. Your customer service sucks.

Aamco was fantastic. I took my car here and I was treated with such respect and kindness, I will always go back. The staff here is very courteous and they explained everything to me. Definitely check these guys out it you have any car issues.

Monty and the Team at AAMCO did a great job with a with the difficult transmission rebuild of our Van. While information was communicated clearly, sometimes it would have been better to get info a little quicker. Glad they were very thorough in testing it out once the service was complete.

The service by Kyle was amazing. My truck is a 2008 Ford and he said to make sure all my fluids were checked to avoid possible more costly services. So amazing.

I have several good experiences that I could go into detail and make a short novel but to be brief, my pathfinder with less than 45,000 miles had 2 blown head gaskets that they caught when the dealer didnt. They are thorough, honest and informative.Second share is that Im in the process of buying a used vehicle and they have been by my side every step of the way. I wont trust my vehicles anywhere else.Fantastic, reliable team here!

I would give this AAMCO shop 6 stars if I could! They were welcoming and happy to help with almost $2,000 worth of warranty work after a different AAMCO shop charged us that much and did little to nothing to fix our oil leak. This shop went above and beyond with their customer service to fix another AAMCOs mistakes. These guys will get the job done right!

I normally dont trust those who work in auto shops because of bad past experiences being ripped off. However, in this case Jason Monty Montgomery (Sales Manager), has restored my faith in humanity so to speak. Monty went above and beyond his call of duty to advocate for my elderly father with his dealership and insurance company to pay for what he is entitled to through my fathers contract. Monty wasnt satisfied until EVERYTHING worked perfectly with my fathers car. He was also very thorough with his explanation, step by step on what was wrong and how it needed to be fixed. He even took photos of the undercarriage. Again, thoroughly explaining what every photo entailed and forwarded those photos to my phone and email as well. To top that off, he even checked out my new van and programed the code on my radio by calling the dealership himself?! AT NO COST!! Just to be helpful. He prides himself for fighting for the underdog and I back that up 100%! I highly recommend anyone to try out AAMCO- TAYLORSVILLE for your vehicle care.

Really impressed with the service Monty and his crew gave me. I had to leave my car overnight just before the weekend, and honestly wasnt even expecting to have it back until the following Monday, at the earliest. They stuck their neck out to get it back to me faster than I expected and did an awesome job counseling me on payment options.

The service was good but they left frame wet from doing the repair. I would have thought that they would clean the frame were the fluid was on it that would have saved me time from having to clean my driveway and the truck frame.

Excellent Customer Service! I will never go to any other shop. I have an older 1992 Jeep Cherokee. I had taken it to several other shops in the area and was quoted outrageous amounts of money to fix it. I know its an older vehicle and Im sure there are many things i could do to it but I just wanted to be able to keep my baby running as it was passed down through the family to me. When I went to AAMCO they actually addressed the concern I took it in for and quoted me a fair price. The entire experience left me feeling good about the money i spent and they had me back on the road fast. Thank you for listening to me and helping with my needs. You have earned my future business!

I have never had such a great experience with any mechanic ever. Rod and his team have bent over backwards to gove me the best prices and honest feedback on my vehicles. I even had a situation where once where o had to take my vehicle to another mechanic. They told me things that were not there and also did not catch the actual issue. If I could give 20 stars I would. Do not hesitate to choose these guys. I feel as Im part of the family.

Monty was super helpful in figuring out what was wrong with my car. My one year old and I waited in the lobby during the inspection. it was pleasant, and he was understanding of the woes of toddlerhood (and she was super grumpy). it took about two hours and he was able to get me scheduled for repairs next day. I dropped my car off after hours that day, and they got all the repairs done the next day. super happy with the service, and hats off to the repairman. I dont know their name, but much thanks.

Awful customer service. The guy at the front desk was rude. I was going to have my van diagnosed and had called the day before. First, he had a problem with where I parked, He then told me it would be at least four hours which he did not tell me the day before when we spoke on the phone. Then he had a problem with me waiting there. He told me since I had a dog I can wait at the park down the street. This was a 98° day in pure sun. I told him I will just go somewhere else that wants my business. He replied, “by all means, go somewhere else. It doesn’t matter to me”. I Found a great place that completed the job with a 3 year warranty.

Awesome Customer Service. They are very thorough, therefore it will take some time. Make sure you are okay hanging out in their waiting area or get a ride and come back. Very clean shop and waiting area! If there are any underlying issues, I appreciate how they walk you back to where your car is and point out what is needed, etc. Very helpful and honest. A tad pricey, but hey, you get what you pay for! Id much rather pay a little extra and know my car is in good hands, rather than pay less elsewhere and have them not care at all. I will continue to go back here, I think they do an awesome job.

Completely happy with the service. We didnt have a way home on the day we dropped our car off and the owner gave us a ride. They were all very good to work with. I felt that they truly cared about us. I will defiantly return to have my car serviced here again.

My regular AAMCO, in another city, sold the franchise to Rod. (Had been going there for over 10 years.)While he was upgrading the location they brought me into this store and treated me like royalty. The price was great. Rod even offered to pick up my car from the previous location.Soon, my old favorite will be as good as new. Wouldnt go anywhere else.You shouldnt either. These guys KNOW what they are doing.

My husband and I came here for the first time hoping they could help us and honestly came here because they were open on Saturday. We went to another shop and they told us it was a transmission problem not a wheel bearing problem. We were SURE it was a wheel bearing problem. Came here and WOW we were blown away with their experience and customer service and efficiency!! Javier was fantastic with scheduling us in a tight day and making us feel comfortable while we waited, and Kyle was fantastically skilled and was able to pinpoint the problem right away and solve it for us. We live 30 minutes away but we will definitely come back here for all our servicing. HIGHLY recommend them.

I recently had some concerns with my vehicle and I contacted Monte and he assisted in helping me get my vehicle in. My vehicle was inspected thoroughly and to my surprise, they found nothing wrong. These guys were GREAT. Transmission went out on my Cobalt and they refused not 1, but 3 transmissions from their supplier as subpar. They wanted to make sure that I was taken care of. You need transmission work, call Monty, he will take care of you.

I recently had my service done on my daughters PT Cruiser at both the Taylorsville and American Fork shops. They are both owned an managed by the same individual whom I trust to be fair and honest. For me it is worth the effort to get my repairs done here because I know they will help me to make an informed decision and only repair things that I want them to without any pressure to do anything extra. The offices are clean and comfortable and the staff is courteous and respectful.I would highly recommend to anyone.

I really enjoyed the great friendly service I had with Rod and Kyle they took really great care of me, and after going to the tanner transmission on redwood road and to find out they messed up my filter when doing the transmission flush, so I noticed my transmission started slipping and making funny noises and for them to tell me to bad we cant help you thats on you and me stressing so bad that I was going to be out so much money. (we are talking like 4,000 dollars worth) Thanks to these guys they were my blessing in a bottle and to have hopefully fixed my issue for awhile I did not want to really have to take another loan out so soon on a transmission, but in the end I really advise to go to these guys it is worth the experience and the friendship you can gain with these guys as well as trust.

Highly recommend you bring you’re vehicle here, they were very helpful and nice, and the place was very clean. I have been to other shops for a brake job and a tune up and I was quoted over a thousand dollars. Then I came this shop and Monty and the guys took care of my car and told me what I really needed. And I was able to get out the door for less then $600, I’ve finally found a shop with honest friendly service.

I am new in the area and needed to find a place to take my 1999 Ford Taurus to. AAMCO had a coupon online that brought me here. The people are courteous and seem happy. The place is clean and comfortable. The employees are honest and professional. I plan to come here again.

These guys are always amazing, friendly, knowledgeable and I feel like they have costumers best interest in mind.

Brought My 2014 dodge in with a service engine light, had the code read from Autozone said it was a transmission code, I believe they wanted $165.00 diagnostic fee. Gave them permission to work on it, came back and said the oil was burnt, but the filter was ok. Said I had another engine code, wanted the diagnostic fee again, diagnosed it again, said I had a dead cylinder and this could of caused the transmission problem, should replace coils and wires. Told them only replace coils that were bad and plugs, all the coils were good, replaced the plugs. Said the transmission still had a problem, needed to be rebuilt. Quoted $4,200.00, charged me over $900.00 to change plugs and diagnose. Went back to dodge, found out I had a warranty. It took about a month for the codes to come back on, Dodge went through it, plugged filters, $347.00. Your a bunch of crooks.

Honest company! I stopped to see if my old van needed a transmission fluid flush. The gentleman explained to me why a flush isnt best, discussed the best way to change it, then walked me through how to check my fluid. After checking it he decided I didnt need one. I will definitely be returning here for future needs. They very obviously have your best needs in mind when helping you.

I am so grateful for this location, came all the way from Las Vegas to take care of some business and once we hit Provo my car started making some high pitched grinding and squealing noises.I just had gotten my clutch and flywheel replaced by a local shop in Vegas and took my car to Rod to check it out. He was super understanding and was a real lifesaver.We still had to get back to Vegas so we went back and took it into the original shop but wouldnt have known what we were going into without his help! Thank you!

I go here every time for an oil change on my Jeep because the service is awesome and they let me know if my car needs anything or is good to go! Its great peace of mind knowing they are looking for any issues my car may have. I highly recommend!

This is the second time take my vehicle here and get treated with the most professionalism by Mr Monty and how he goes out of his way to make you fill valued as a customer and on the quality of there work all I can say is A+++

First time they didnt tell me that they are out of oil filters for my car and made me wait for one to be delivered, second time I arrived to appointment on time they turn me back because technicians called in that day. Front desk clerk told me :We should call you to reshedule but we didnt. I said thanks and went to other service.They got another chance, front end guy much nicer now, will change my rating

My experience at Aamco, especially with Don, has been wonderful. They found and fixed my original problem, during their inspection they noticed an internal and external transmission leak. They were more than happy to help me with the leaks as soon as I wanted to come back. Came back the day after the Christmas break and they were firing on all cylinders. Got me right in and got it done at a great cost. I will be coming back here for everything vehicle related!

Not happy they charged me 1500 $ for a new driveling with a 1 year warranty drove not even 2,000 miles in a year and a half and its already broke. Not only was I over charged but the work was clearly not done right. Now Im in the process of trying to get them to make it right and at least pay for half of what its costing me to fix it again and the guy always just says let me figure this out and Ill call you back and never does.

Everytime i come in i get personal attention and great customer service. The communication is great! My car is repaired correctly. on time and at the best price.
