Danforth Gunsmithing has recently completed an overhaul on my early 1900s Remington Model 11 Shotgun. It had been in storage for over 65 years and was in very sad shape. When I received it back from John Danforth it appears like it just came off the production line. John is a great man to work with and I am proud to report his cost and delivery date went right along with the original estimate. I highly recommend Danforth to everyone.

The service was great. They custom installed a Springfield Armory scope on my rifle. The turn around time was very quick. I called someone else and theirs was two weeks.

I brought in my Glock 22 to have Trijicon HD XR night sights installed, and got to meet John and Leanne. Knowledgeable and professional, and they were able to finish the project in great time. Overall a great experience. Ill definitely continue giving them my business for any future work.

Ive used a few different gunsmiths and have never really been pleased with their advise or performance until now. I had bought a rifle from a local store that ended up having reamer damage in the chamber and I just needed someone with more experience to take a look at it. John was kind enough to spend a good amount of time looking at it and discussing multiple ways to proceed that would fix the issue and help me get to my goal. He gave great advise that helped out tremendously. But what I found was an experienced gunsmith that loves long range, big bore handguns, 1911’s and hand loading. Well that’s right up my alley. So glad I stopped by and now I have a gunsmith that I feel confident with to do the work that is beyond my skill set with my new long range gun. I ended up taking back the bad Sendero 300win mag and bought a Sendero in 300rum and I’ll just have it re-barreled and blueprinted in the near future by him. Thank you John!

Great little shop. Dropped off grandpas old .22 rifle that my dad recently gave me to get it fixed up and cleaned, ready for my son to take out when hes a little older. Fair pricing and fair turnaround, was quoted 30-45 days but they had it done in 2 weeks. Ill be back with another soon. Just dont forget youll need to bring ammo for the test fire.

Great prices, they did great work, and were very helpful with repairing and setting up my gun, will bring more work to them very soon!...Update, took two more guns to him, the second was done quickly, and turned out great, and was a very reasonable price, the third gun I asked for a lot more work, and is close to being finished, they have been great about keeping me up to date on the progress, and looking forward to another great project completed by their friendly team. I highly recommend checking them out.

Drove 1.5hrs but definitely got my gas’ worth. They found a very simple and non-intrusive solution to a complicated modification that other gunsmiths were planning for 3 times as much labor, while others didn’t even wanna try. Also an absolute pleasure to work with when getting advice and suggestions, they show a LOT of knowledge and experience when they explain everything involved with the gun work at hand. I’ve pretty much decided to make this my main stop for all gun work needs.

They did an amazing job on my Russian contract Winchester 1895. The tang and lever was damaged. They fixed it up and it works like a charm now.

I was really pleased with my experience here. I got a scope mounted on my rifle and it was done quickly and done well. Plus its always educational to speak to a real gunsmith. Friendly people, excellent work. Thats pretty much as good as it gets.

Terrible service! the guys who work here are very nasty, rude, impatient, and have no regard for the customer. Also, as mentioned in some of the other reviews, they are VERY overpriced. Avoid this place at all costs if there are other gun stores in your area!

Knowledgeable, friendly and conscientious about the condtion of your firearm. They appear to have enough tooling to accomplish any job. A little more expensive than at-home gunsmiths, but its nice they have a store front and they are there when their hours say they will be there. Its always a bummer when you go to a gun shop and they tell you the smith is out and give you some small window of time to return.

Called this place to see how much it would be to install my handguard, new barrel nut and low pro gas block on my AR. They said it would be around 160 and it would be a 2 hour job... keep in mind I already striped the upper to just the barrel. I looked up YouTube videos because I was going to do it myself. It literally takes 15- 20 mins. I dont have the correct tools to do it myself. I thought it would be cheaper to get it done by someone else rather then buy the tools myself. Apparently not...

My number one issue with this place is that they are WAY overpriced. If you dont know much about guns PLEASE dont go here. They will rip you off. There are plenty of other great gunsmiths such as K&D in San Bernardino that will do the work for a small fraction of the cost. Also, I felt a little uncomfortable when I walked in because the person that helped me was a guy dressed as a woman. He was not very helpful and tried to convince me that I didnt know how to handle my firearm and that I should spend over $130 to let them do all of the minimal work for me.
