The definitive 1960s California donut shop experience. No slick decorating, not a screen or animation anywhere near the menu. Pictures of the Lakers and dodgers on the wall, cut out of the newspaper. The boxes/bags have no branding on them of any kind. No 3.99 boutique hipster donuts, just the best basic chocolate bar youve ever had. Unchanged in 50 years.

I love this donut shop. Great location with excellent variety of donuts to pick from. Of little donut shops, this is definitely one of the best. Their fried and cake donuts are delicious! Other pastries are also great. I love coming here before work if I have time. Thank you!

Ive been coming here for nearly 30 years. The quality and variety have stayed impeccable for the duration. To this day I havent found a better apple fritter than the ones they make here. Love the family that owns it, love the donuts!! Donut Time sets the bar by which I judge all other donuts.

Cash only? Like seriously it’s not 1990. So many people don’t even carry cash anymore. Get with the times and upgrade your payment methods.

Went in the other night to get donuts for the next morning; as I was looking at the selection, I noticed bugs flying around the donuts. I thought they were probably from people coming in & out constantly opening the door - no big deal. But when I went to verify and shoo it away with my hand, thats when I noticed it was inside of the case flying around with the donuts!! So I had to take a double-take and sure enough there were other bugs flying around with the donuts!!! I wanted to support a small shop, but I just had to walk out.

They are so sweet there. I like to swing there before work to get my little donut, the smile of the workers make my day better.

Its a cash only place. Normally not a big deal but I waited in line, there was no signs saying cash only. Both door were opened and maybe that’s where the signs are but no where else aside from the cash register.

This is the best doughnut shop in Riverside hands down. I just love how fresh, light and great their doughnuts taste. Other doughnut shops I have tried their doughnuts taste greasy and heavy. Everytime I have a craving for some doughnuts I go here. Their staff is also very friendly and the place is kept very clean. Ill probably be by today for a big cinnamon roll doughnut, my favorite!! 😍

The donuts were okay. Service was horrible. I had two kids with me and if you know kids, they take more than two minutes to decide what they want. I felt rushed and at the same time I felt the woman helping me was irritated we werent ready with our full order. Then at the register she asked if we wanted anything to drink. My daughter wanted chocolate milk and my son couldnt decide if wanted regular or chocolate and the woman behind the counter huffed and said okay two chocolate milks. Rude. By the way, this place is cash only.

The people helping you there are very nice and give good suggestions. Also, the pastry is awesome!

Delicious donuts but dont bother going after 5pm (maybe sooner than that) because they have just a handful of donut choices after that even though they are open late. They will have an awful selection.

The donuts are good, but thats where the greatness ends. Ive been coming here for years as I work across the street. The customer service has never been great, but my last visit left no doubt that I wont be returning. I purchased a dozen donuts, and at the cost of nearly $9, I didnt expect it to be an issue to substitute my 12th donut for 2 donut holes for my 4-year old daughter. Wrong; they refused. Keep in mind, they charge about $1.20 for a dozen donut holes, and $8.25 for a dozen, so substituting 1 donut ($0.69) for 2 donut holes ($0.20) shouldnt be a problem. Instead, theyve lost a 7+ year customer for life.Its worth noting that they either just raised their prices or they raise them on the weekends (I paid $7.75 for a dozen during the week and then I was charged $8.25 on Sunday morning).The Good:The donuts are good. On par with other donut shops in the area.The BAD:Donuts are overpriced; nearly $9 for a dozen.Poor customer service.The only accept cash.No sense of loyalty to repeat customers.They do have an ATM, but they gouge you with fees.There are children living/playing in the shop.The Canyon Crest shopping center in general is absolutely horrible. The majority of the business charge premium prices for crappy customer service and below-average product.

DOESNT ACCEPT DEBIT which i think at this point every donut shop should because their atm will charge you a fee on top of your bank charging you a fee for pulling cash out thats not their atm. Its the new age and donut shops want to charge just cash still not everyone does.Worked graveyard shift and was looking for donuts to bring home to my little ones well that didnt happen at this shop and called around to see what donut shop did.The donut shop that accepts debit is better be donuts cafe. Their donuts are good and very reasonable prices as well.
