I was very nervous as this was my first car and first time something had gone wrong with it. They are very polite and straightforward. We walked in not knowing what was wrong and they were able to tell us within two minutes and told us exactly what they were going to do. Being new to the area, it was a relief to find a service provider for my Toyota 4Runner. The original diagnosis and repair quote on my vehicle was obtained by a Toyota dealership. I went to Advanced Import for a second opinion and was relieved to see that the cost to repair would be about half of what the dealership quoted. Advanced Import was quick and efficient. Even though its quite a drive for me to bring my vehicle to their shop, its worth the time.

I have been going to Tims shop for over 20 years and he is by far the best automotive technician you will find anywhere. My precious RX-7 had an engine fire and I was crushed and thought the car could not be fixed. To my amazement Tim replaced all of the fire damaged parts and my RX-7 was back on the road in a few weeks. He is also one of the most honest and trustworthy people you will ever meet.

It was late in the afternoon and My family and I were going out of town. I heard a noise coming out of my rear tires. I new it was late but didnt want to worry about noise. So ran it over to Tim @ advanced auto. He looked at it said it was rear rotors needed replaced, but it was 3 oclock in the afternoon. Told him I was leaving early in the morning. He order parts right away and stayed late tell it was done. Thanks Tim we made it safely to Utah. You are the best.

You inherit the previous owners care, or lack of care, for the vehicle. Including rattles! It took a while, and with each visit they would try something else to figure out what was causing the noise. Success! While I am no longer conveniently close to their shop, I will continue to take my car to them for servicing.

Ive been a single woman for a long time and was able to do a lot of my own small repairs or maintenance. But I couldnt do everything in my driveway, so I asked friends for recommendations and my pastor and others suggested Tim, commending him for his honesty. That was huge as Id already had a couple experiences where a mechanic sees a woman coming and ethics left by the back door. So I started going to Tim about 30 years ago. In the early years, I was driving my used cars into the ground because I couldnt afford better. He managed to help me get the last life out of all those cars. Hes heard me try to explain some of the strangest automotive sounds Ive heard, and he diagnosed the problems pretty amazingly. I could always expect an honest appraisal including a few Nah! you dont need that for a while yet over the years. Now Im seeing him less often, driving newer cars with fewer problems, but I just came from there a couple days ago after a brake job on my Corolla. Dave is doing the same great work as his dad, Tim. Have brought my cars here for years. Tim and his crew have always taken good care of our family. Tim understands what is needed for safety and long-term ownership. He doesnt upsell items that arent needed.Brought my van to Tim in Sept 2016. Dealer said it needed a $3500 transmission. Tim fixed the solenoids inside the transmission and saved me over $3000. It was a difficult, precision repair and Tim worked overtime to get it done right.

This place is HORRIBLE! ZERO STARS. I came to this location for a sensor replacement on my Nissan Sentra. The reception upfront, had helped me, by giving me a price on the sensor and labor, which I agreed to. I had dropped off my car at about 10am and the receptionist said it would be done by closing time. I went on with my day and as it got sooner and sooner, I received no phone calls or texts about my car. So I called them, to ask about the status of my car. When the guy answers the phone he tells me something that sounded pretty serious about the sensor being stuck and insisted that my car stays there overnight for the sensor to soak up in some lubricant for it to come out. He also mentioned he would charge me an extra $60.00. I thought it was more of them pressuring me and was upsetting to me that they were charging me extra and didnt notify me of this issue when they have my contact info. I agreed only because I felt like this needed to be done. The next day, again no contact about my car was ready, or if sensor even got out. I had work that morning so I only had the option to wait until the afternoon to pick up. I did. After a day my car was doing the same thing, had shifting problems cause of the sensor. I ran an OBD II and that same code for the sensor was still there, therefore they never fixed the sensor. I felt robbed. angry. Like WTH did they even do?! Just make a reasonable excuse to stall for my money?? I confronted them and the guy, he was rude, didnt let me speak, and assumed that the money I paid was worth at least making it home driving the car that day. Just rude, they didnt even know what they fixed! They dont even know what the sensor was for!!!! Like if they were unsure why didnt they ask or confirm These people just take your money I paid about $270 For trusting these people ! Im soooo angry!!! they do not know what theyre doing! NEVER COME HERE!!! THEYLL FOOL YOU!

If you own a Honda and are looking for quality repair work on par with a 5-star dealership -- AT HALF THE PRICE -- Advanced Import Auto Repair is the absolute best choice. Tim and the staff are absolutely superb. He will take all the time you need to fully explain the problem(s) and illustrates the solution(s) in easy to understand terms in an upfront and honest fashion. If money is tight, as it often is, Tim will tell you the bare minimum repair work that is needed to at least maintain your safety on the road in the short term so that you can save up for the remaining work in a few months. Its this level of integrity that makes the difference. Ive had about half a dozen various repair jobs done on my wifes 98 Honda Civic LX at Tims shop. Each time I was paranoid that the cost would be prohibitive based on comparable information online for similar work -- and every single time I would breathe a huge sigh of relief when Tims wife would present the invoice and it was always half the price of what I expected. The parts are always OEM quality and the workmanship is superb. I have never had to take the car back due to problems with the work done or the parts; unlike my prior bad experiences with dealerships who practically commit grand larceny fixing your problem only to discover the problem isnt fully fixed. I grew up in a family of mechanics and spent years wrenching on cars, including my own, from the time I was a teenager.
