They do engines, transmissions, and much more. They have taken care of my truck engine and transmission problems they are very professional. They offer great warranties.The parking lot where the shop is located is very crowded as they are in a very small complex of several different repair shops. There also may be a wait on your vehicle to get in the shop. They are extremely busy. I highly recommend this shop.

They went above and beyond on my car. I live off the asphalt on a dirt road and just got snow. Its all wheel drive because it needs to be. My wife drives it and works nights so it has to answer the bell in crazy conditions. I can sleep well now I got it back with everything perfect. They even replaced a bad axle at cost. On July 15, 2020 Robert sent a tow truck to Santa Ana to pick up my 2012 sprinter I followed the tow truck and met him at his shop I gave him a deposit of $3500 in cash for an engine swap he told me the motor was in route and it should be done within a week and a half from that same day. I also asked him “will there be any additional fees in addition to the original $9500?” he told me “approximately 150 tops $500”. A week and a half later I called and he told me Engine was not there yet. A week later he told me there was still no starting day on my vehicle. About a week later he told me there would be an additional $1,147.63 in parts and that he was going to require an additional $2000 deposit. That Friday I gave him an additional $1000 in cash. About a week later he mentioned that the new engine was damaged and he would have to reorder another one. He mentioned to me that engine would arrive August 18 and approximate date of completion August 21.This is not a complaint this is just an update on what has happened I understand all vehicles are very difficult to deal with and some events are not always under his control. let’s see what he replies with but not in words but in actions. I just want my vehicle to run properly with no check engine light in a timely manner. I understand they’re very busy and many people are happywith their services I wish I could experience thesame. James.This update is posted on Monday, Aug 31.Well today Robert physically has the motor in his hands let’s hope everything runs smooth. Thus I’ve left this matter in God’s hands long time ago, thanks Robert for all your hard work looking forward to getting it done this week.

Very efficient when it came to explaining the financial part of our vehicle repair. Rebuilt the engine on our 2003 Dodge Ram. They did not promise anything they were not able to deliver. Robert was very straight forward with us during the entire repair. We would recommend them if you need an engine rebuilt.

They did great on my transmission but the ECM they replaced had to be reprogrammed elsewhere because when I took it back to them they said it was something else. They took it upon themselves to disconnect and cut wires to my stereo system without even saying anything. For mechanical stuff they good but electrical stuff not so much.

Excellent Customer Service and fast engine replacement! Called Destroyer Automotive to have my 2004 Yukon XL 5.3L engine replaced. They came to my house and towed my truck on Tuesday evening. Robert, who is extrememly knowledgable about engines, called me on Friday evening to pick up my truck. I couldnt believe the fast turn around! I would highly recommend Destroyer Automotive!

I needed a new engine for my 1996 Tacoma pickup. My mechanic recommended Destroyer Automotive. They installed a used engine. My new used engine runs great. I now get 20 mpg and on. My old engine I got about 15 mpg. I am very pleased with their service.

1st I had my transmission swapped. They took care of towing my truck at breakdown location. And within 3 business days, my truck was ready. This was 2.5 yrs ago. Transmission still shifts smoothly. No complains there. 2nd I had my engine swapped, same deal, they towed my truck and within 3 business days, my truck was ready. This was 3 weeks ago and so far, shes running better than I remember. Would definitely go back for any future work.

I came in yesterday, Weds the 30th of January, 2019, with my 2000 Honda Civic. Rob, Thank You for your excellent communication, for being expedient with both diagnosing the vehicle and replacing the valve gasket + catalytic converter in record time; lastly the complimentary, quick oil change service. I would highly recommend your crew for future repairs.

I called them up on a Saturday and was told they could replace my transmission no problem - they had the correct model replacement in stock and it would be $1300 for an already rebuilt transmission installed. It was a little more than I was quoted elsewhere but then they said they could do it quickly with parts that were in stock and I needed the car quickly.Wednesday I had heard nothing so I call up to find out the status... it has not been done yet, theres another car ahead of mine before they will get to it but it should get on the rack that day. No further word.I call on Thursday, I get almost the same message - mine is the next one to go up on the rack. It should be done that night or the next morning. They will call when it is done. I ask how late they are open 7 or 8 PM. Since I work closer to the shop than I live, I wait at work until 8:30 PM but I dont hear back.Friday morning, I go to their shop to get the car. At 10 AM no one is there and the doors are locked. I call asking about the status - they sent the wrong transmission over. They? I thought it was in stock. Yes, we have it in stock. They are sending over the right one right now. If someone is supposed to be delivering a transmission to this shop, they are going to be disappointed when they get there because NO ONE WAS AT THE SHOP and the doors were locked.I call again at 3:30 PM, there is a Honda on the rack right now and then youre next SAME BS as before. It is not easy or convenient for me to get to their shop and I need to make arrangements to do so - I live up by Lake Arrowhead - an hour away - and I told them this, yet they never can give me a solid time the thing will be done.These guys are dishonest and make promises they cant keep. Dont believe them when they say they have parts in stock. Take your business elsewhere. It is not worth the hassle and I hate being lied to.

This is a great place to come for any of your car problems. I came here for a transmission problem with my 06 Ford Explorer.I was recommended to come here by one of my friends at the gym; my friend owns a reputable muffler shop near by. My friends muffler shop has clients coming all the way from San Diego and Los Angeles.This was my first time seeking non-dealership help regarding problems with my car. My dad normally deals with my car problems, but I told him the recommendation my friend gave. My dad was hesitant because he has been taking the car to the dealership for prior problems, but he didnt want to pay dealership prices. So, my dad and I took a step of faith and tried Destroyer Automotives.When we arrived, we noticed that this shop was extremely busy! Business is a good sign!! As we entered the shop and talked with the receptionist, we noticed one of their regular customers who previously spoke with the receptionist. We talked with her and she testified how she and her husband bring their cars here all the time.As we discussed the transmission problem, the receptionist kindly suggested to us 2 options. The first option was to buy a completely brand new transmission costing about $3,000 or a certified used transmission costing $1600. We asked him which one the receptionist would suggest. The receptionist suggested the certified used transmission, and said that a 2 year warranty comes with it. My dad and I selected the used transmission and didnt look back!They fixed the car in 2 days!! We got it back for the price of $1800, including labor and tax. The car drives great now. I can floor it and it switches gears excellently!

November 2016 our daughters car needed a new engine. Wed called around to several places for quotes. Destroyer Automotive came in the most reasonable AND they had a tow truck to come pick up our car, which was a major bonus for us.New engine placed with warranty. Weve done our part in doing what Rob said to keep the warranty in place. Had a few other things come up with the same car since then, including a check engine light that came on this week.Took the car in, Rob ran a computer check on the car to diagnose the problem. He ordered the part, and within 4 1/2 hours, I was driving the car home fixed.Weve never once experienced any of the things that Ive seen people complain about in other reviews. Rob has always been friendly, helpful, and fair. We will continue to give our business to Destroyer Automotive for this particular car, and our other cars should the need arise.

This is my second time at Destroyer Automotive. Both times have been for replacing an old engine with a rebuilt. The replacements have been trouble free, both installations were finished before the time promised, and the costs were very reasonable. I won’t go anywhere else even though Destroyer is 80 miles from my home.

Truck is never done on the time they say it will be and every time I get it back something else is broken... they told me my breaks were horrible and needed to be done and said they can do it. Terrible! !! I live 60miles away and have had to take truck back at least 4 times for different oil leaks on my motor he rebuilt $2750 should have just bought crate motor. You would think when you spend good money you expect to get taken care of but every time I have a issue hes always too busy to work on my truck and when he does takes longer than estimated
