Bought many parts and items for boats here over the years. While their parts are top notch as is the selection of inox, expect to pay accordingly.

Great customer service, very large selection in the store. Plenty of parking, prices are a little high in the store but not ridiculous. Especially considering their location right by the ocean.

Let me start by saying this place is massive its professional and the customer service is great from the moment you walk in the door to the parts department, i came in yesterday with my broken PROP and Andrew took the time to help me out didnt feel pressured at all also he helped me to purchase the correct prop.i will go back and purchase more parts Andrew is knowledgeable if you need any boat parts go speak with him, and the people up front are helpful too

Was great. Found my size in the color I wanted for my Extra tuff deck boots when I searched the www and couldnt get them.They offered to hold them for a few days with zero down. Big, clean, bright West Marine with big parking lot. It suffers from the same problem most WMs have...you need 2 of something they have stock 1. You need 4 of something they stock 3. Without fail this has been my experience of all WMs I frequent. So I just expect it now as part for the course for them. There hardware aisle is nice and organized but is smaller style bins rather than pull-out drawers. I like this as is doesnt lead to that drawer becoming horrible disorganized. So, good on this store.

HelpFul just didnt have what I needed which was a 1 1/2 square shouldered 1/2 dia. 6in ubolts. Said they could order it. But I needed it to day so they referred me some where else but being Saturday most things were closed.

Needed to pick up a co2 canister for a life jacket in a pinch, saw a West Marine brick and mortar was in the area??? I didnt even know they had retail as Id order for of the things online. The atmosphere here is superb, like walking into a nautical paradise! The staff are super attentive and very knowledgeable. Ended up garbing those canisters and a new pair of shoes!

Had to get a 30 amp and 50 amp cord. I knew nothing about the electrical on docks and the guy there, Justin, was a very big help. Explained a lot to me and spent a lot of time dumbing things down to my level. Great guy. I would recommend this store and Justin to anyone looking for help with electrical plug s for the different docks.

Very expensive. $35 for simple green. Costco is $12

Dont have what you need in stock and not very knowledgeable they always seem to be put out if they have to look something up or do any research

Great selection, and great customer service. Found what I needed in their website, but it said they only had 1 on stock so I called just to make sure. They not only checked there computer, but also went out to the shelf and pulled it off for me.,. Putting it at the front of the store for me.

Boat parts are expensive so Im glad we have several West Marines around long Beach CA. Stores are filled with many different items and staff are always ready to help. If they dont have it they will order it for you.Also want to mention that they are a Pet Friendly business and want to thank you for letting me bring in My buddy Kirby who turns on the charm when he goes in.

Local marine shop to Long Beach everything from fishing to boating is here ever a selection of boating and fishing are here theyve got great brands like Salty Crew, Hurley, billabong, and much more they also sell frozen baits here in bulk quantities great for a lSt minute pick up if you forgot your boat at home and its reasonably priced

Staff has no knowledge of navigational electronics. I purchased a Garmin Chartplotter recommended by staff that would work for coastal cruising. After contacting Garmin they explained the chartplotter I purchased was not compatible with any Garmin radars.

Just about everything you could ever need, at about three times the price you wanted to pay. Oh My GOD is this place expensive. You would think that they had some kind of monopoly on marine hardware and parts these days.... Oh, I guess they do. Generally cute cashier girls, completely unburdened by any sort of knowledge whatsoever. Which actually goes for most of the employees. They might be able to help you find something, but dont hope for anything beyond that.

Staff knows nothing. Spent a lot of time here and nobody could help me to find correct parts. Man with name Stan with long hairs in his 50-60’s was just talking with somebody about life not paying attention to customers. When I asked for help he looked at me like I ruined his whole day, when I tried to ask him a question again he made a view he doesn’t see me and passed by, even I called for him 3 times. 100% self service shop.

Great selection on everything boat related. Poor, rude and under trained staff. Everything is over priced but still a go to for all boat parts and accessories. There hassle free return policy isnt so hassle free. They make you feel like youre trying to cheat them.

Every thing you need to enjoy a day at the marina.

Always a struggle going here. They are probably out of whatever you need. If you need a bunch of any one thing, like yellow running lights, they have only one. The store used to be packed with products, but once the competition died off, they restricted the stock and now feature many square feet of open floor space. Its really hard to use this store. I have increasingly been using the web even though I dont want to. Staff are friendly if not knowledgeable. Some are knowledgeable but how can they help you when they dont carry much?

The place has everything and the employees are very helpful.

I can only comment as follows:This place was in the same center as the Long Beach Yacht Club where I attended a family members 80th birthday..I can say I do recall there was no concern for our safety,, the entire business center was well maintained with sufficient lighting and adequate parking, as it was Saturday evening when we departed and waited outside for 15 vmin or so

I needed a Snatch Block for my sailboat, tried West, but the employee did not know what it was and the manager didnt either. Went to Captains Locker (just down the street) received great service from knowledgeable staff and was out of there and heading back to the boat in 15 minutes.

Very poor service. Called three times to check stock of an item. The first time, they said that they were really really busy right now so there was nobody to check stock of an item (probably since it was during lunch hour). Second time they took my number and said that they would call back (they didnt call back within an hour). The third time they said the hold would be 5-7 minutes. I waited for 25 minutes before hanging up and ordering on Amazon.

Its West Marine... The place you go to when you cant find the part anywhere else. Dont bother asking for any advice from people working here because they will say anything just to make it sound like they are answering your question.
