Under staffed, prepare to wait. Waited for propane refill for 30 minutes. The guy that wasnt propane. & was super busy kept telling me just a couple more minutes. Once the guy that was on break finally decided to help him came out, he said they wasnt selling prooane.

Horrible place dont ever rent a truck here. They make up extra charges at the end of the trip and wont refund you. The front desk is rude and doesnt care about your complaint. They made me pay $75 extra dollars because they said I didnt bring the tank back at a 1/4th of the tank. You can see that it is right on the line and even if it was below it would only cost $2 to get it to the line.

I had the inconvenience of needing Uhaul services. Stopped by the Kingston Pike store and was cheerfully greeted by a young man named Toma. Behind the counter was another gentleman by the name of Aaron. Both of these young men were very pleasant and helpful. Toma even carried my things to the car. Thank you, guys. You help restore my faith in humanity. Carry on with your kindness. And thanks for making this crisis in my life a little easier! You made me smile and laugh amidst the chaos!!

The UHaul located on Kingston Pike had TERRIBLE customer service. I called to reserve a UHaul Truck and spoke with a representative named Toma. 3 days later when I arrived to pick up the truck, I was informed that no reservation was on file and that I only had a quote. I was also informed that they did not even have a 15 ft truck, which I had explicitly reserved while on the phone with Toma—check the recorded phone call. The Kingston Pike location did not try to provide any help or solutions for me. I had to call the UHaul in Chapman Highway and luckily they had ONE 15ft truck that I could reserve. I had movers coming to move things out of my apartment in less than 30 minutes. This situation could have been worse. The Kingston Pike location needs training in customer service as well as how to competently reserve trucks for customers. I had hired movers for a specified time period and I almost did not have a truck due to their incompetence and lack of professionalism. Thankfully the Chapman highway location was the complete opposite as they were competent, courteous, and able to assist me in reserving a truck.

I needed to rent a uhaul this afternoon, but had no idea how. I stopped in the Kingston Pike store to ask for help. The man at the counter (Toma) walked me through the whole process. He made it so easy. He knew all the answers to my questions and he was so nice. Took about 15 minutes. If i ever need Uhaul services again, im going back there. Thank you, Toma.

Couldn’t get the website to work, so we drove there to inquire. Staff guy sitting at the front desk was completely rude. Didn’t even look up from his phone to tell my husband that there wasn’t a truck available. (Even though the lot was full, and we only needed it for one hour.) If there was a ZERO star option, I would’ve taken it for this business.Took our business to Home Depot, and they facilitated exactly what we needed in a simple phone call.

U-Haul is false advertising at it worse. When you see $30 for 15 foot truck you might assume that is the actual cost. You would be WRONG. I expected to either pay for gas or mileage in some fashion but I also had a truck rental fee for $88..! This was for an in-town rental and was less than 30 miles total. I was told it would be $30 plus 70 cents per mile which was fine. But to charge an extra $88 at pick up when they know their customers are under a time crunch, is dishonest at best and predatory at worst.

This place improperly loaded my vehicle onto a tow dolly resulting in damages, and then refuses to take responsibility for the damages. I had to dispute the charges to get my money back to pay for damages to my car that they will not take responsibility for. I will never rent from this company ever again, and will tell everyone I know to stay away as well. They will damage your property and not do anything about it.

Smooth rental and return process, except when I returned the trailer they kept my 7 to 4 adapter for the trailer lights. I called and told them I would be by to get that when I have time, but since I moved I dont have much free time.I have not yet gotten the adapter back, but I am planning on swinging by this weekend to retrieve it. Other than that, the employees are very friendly and helpful!

While I have always had good experiences with U-haul before, I had an extremely poor experience yesterday. I was charged a fee up-front when I picked up my rental and was told it would be less if I was under the mileage I had estimated. I returned the rental a few hours later, under the mileage estimated, and was charged again. My lesser charge turned into almost DOUBLE being applied to my card and u-haul customer service says that it will take 3-5 days for it to be reversed. To me, this is unacceptable. I should not have my card over-drafted for a lesser charge. The equipment is clean and the employees are friendly, but the greater u-haul customer service is not. I would warn you to use cash only if you intend to do business with U-haul, if I had I am sure my experience would have been much better.

This was the absolute worst owner-operator experience I have ever had. I needed to have a hitch installed. The Farragut location did not have one in stock, so I had to call this location. I was told 30 minute installation at Farragut, but 2 hours at West Town location, and it was $10 more. I called on the day of the install to see if the 2 hour install duration was wrong (I was hoping), and was told it could be up to 3 hours?/1?! How from 30 minutes at one location to 3 hours at another??? I walked in and could see 3 employees. No one greeted us. One was on the speaker phone and another employee (turned out to be the owner) standing with him just stood there. Never acknowledged that we had entered the building, even as we got close. A third employee was on the computer. I had to loudly say hello to get anyone to acknowledge we were at the counter waiting to be served. After we had to change desk locations with an employee standing right before us, who I noticed had OWNER on his name tag, I said, forget it. I am a small business owner and could not imagine treating my customers in that manner. The owner wadded up my paperwork in his hand and waived and said bye. His employees then began telling me bye with all the attitude any of them could muster. It would have cost me $375 to have a hitch installed on my car, and hello was just too much for them to muster.

I was charged two rental charges even though I returned the rental van within the stated four hours. I was also charged double for insurance. I called the store to try to resolve it and the person refused to talk about it and said that I would have to call the corporate 800 number. Im still in the process of getting refunded. My roommate recently had a similar experience at this location. He was charged for insurance even though he declined it up front. Very bad business practices. Avoid if at all possible. If you do have to rent from this location check your final charge/receipt carefully.

I would highly discourage ANYONE from using this location. The store manager is very rude and does not care AT ALL. I made a reservation a week in advance. When I arrived, it was not there. Did he offer ANY help? NONE! A very nice lady behind me offered her rental to me when it was returned in 6 hours. I came back to get it, to a broken dolly in the back. The store manager here does not care one bit. Also, be very aware of the we do not honor reservation clause. I called and made mine and the guy, in a call center, NEVER said this. I suggest Budget or any other company, just no Uhaul and especially this store.

I have rented trucks from them on more than one occasion. But more frequently, I get my propane tank refilled here. Much better pricing than swapping tanks at the gas station. Theyre always very friendly.

I deal with this Uhaul regularly, from major moves to small hauling. This is the WORST service I have ever received at this or any other Uhaul. I sat in here for 12 minutes before anyone even acknowledged my existence; the computer wouldnt accept my card so I had to leave a cash deposit of $100 in addition to the estimated rental cost. No one ever discussed he had level, we didnt do a walk around the truck, nothing. I bring it back at 7a this morning, as instructed. First, the only person authorized to make a cash return is the GM who is NOT in the building so theres not even any cash to give if someone could do a return. Then, for some reason my contract is just LOST- cant be pulled up in any way, shape, form, or fashion. The GM was called at 715a and he couldnt seem to help over the phone. He said he would be in in ten minutes. At 735a he was called again and he said ten more minutes. At this point Ive been in this establishment for 35 minutes, now late dropping my daughter off for school and for work. I go back around 815a and no one greets me, GM still not in the building. He finally walks in at 825a and tells me I was overcharged $57 to begin with and he still cannot pull up the contract. This goes on until almost 9am. Utter incompetence and disregard for customer time, order, and company reliability.

Ive been using this location to rent Uhaul trucks for 2 years. I rent at least once a week. Mike, the manager, knows me by name and every employee there does a fantastic job. They are quick, efficient, and friendly and I wouldnt rent from any other location in Knoxville.

I delivered a cargo box here, today, and the manager and crew were a tremendous help in getting me on my way. They didnt have to help me, but they were very kind. They seemed to treat their customers in the same helpful fashion.FYI: When I was in there, a customer complained that his truck didnt get very good fuel mileage and cussed at the crew and manager. Lol: when you rent a moving truck and load it down with heavy items and then proceed to drive through The Great Smoky Mountains, its not going to get 20 mpg, like a car; it probably wont get 10. 18 wheelers are lucky to get 7, with a light load, on flat land, in the summer. Lol

Always exceptional customer service, delivery quick easy and convenient. One month ago, I needed a van asap! At 10:30pm, made my reservation, arrived at the location 10:55 (only 10mins from my home), The guys were amazing courteous, helpful. (Btw, the Van was new, and very nice) Took me 30mins to pick up furniture from my office, back to my home, had the Van back at the location by 12:30. Perfect. Always satisfied with UHaul, for all my moving needs. (10yrs)

WOW WHAT A RUDE CUSTOMER REPRESENTATIVE!!!Kindly asked the lady if she had a 6X12 trailer to rent for the day, proceeded to ignore my request and ask me unnecessary questions about my vehicle which I answered per her request. After answering every question I wanted to know if it was available. The lady got loud with me and said shes not done asking more questions about my vehicle. I responded with ... Maam can I just know if you have one available to rent?!? she said good bye and hung up on me. There are way too many uhauls in this town to have to deal with such rude incompetent behavior. I hope no one rents from this place.
