Saturday morning I woke up and saw the pool level lower than usual. I Went out to find water spraying out of the pump housing.(impeller seal cracked.) I Called Aurora and they said they had a kit. Thinking the pool is at least 5 years old I took apart the impeller and took it with me. LUCKY I had done this!! The new kit was too big for my pump and would have been a waste of drive from Maryville. Carley waited on me and was very patient and helpful. She tried to match up the kit to my housing with no luck. She suggested I buy the already assembled impeller with seals. She offered me a discount for all the issues. I took it home reassembled to Motor hooked it all back up and filled the filter and hoses. Started system and it worked, it held water and recirculated and is doing fine. I called back to the store and talked to Carley and she herself was overjoyed it worked!! She did a great job and went above and beyond Customer Service!!! You have a great employee in her and she should be commended!!! THANK YOU CARLEY!!!!

Debbie, the owner noticed me right away and asked if she could help me. She was able to answer all my questions regarding our hot tub and what it would take to set it up. This experience has been a complete nightmare. Not only did it take 4 months to receive our hot tub, when it finally got delivered, the installer drilled holes in the wrong panels for the cover assistance riser. So now we have to wait for more panels to be ordered and installed. Besides that disaster, they failed to inform us that our stairs were on back order, so we still wait. Once the hot tub was fully installed and wired, the speakers didn’t work on it and neither did the light on one side. Highly disappointed in this company and how things are being handled.

Jonathan came out and walked us step by step through the instructions on how to get our pool from swampy to clean. Katie was super helpful when I called to make the appointment. She even had me send her a pic to her phone so she could better assist me. Definitely recommend them!

Had a two inch tear in my pool liner and lost almost half my water overnight. Well it was going to be about two hours before the pool store opened to get patching for it. I was gonna let the pool lose all water so I could patch it dry… and just start over. My fiancé messaged Sonja who works there as she is friends w/ her. To make a long story short, Sonja was very kind to help us during her off time because if not for her I’d had a permanently damaged liner as it would shrink if the pool was emptied. Who knew?!?This is the upmost best customer service I’ve ever had here thus far at Aurora. For someone to help you on her time off makes for excellent customer service.Also, thank you to the service dept. for coming out and placing a more permanent patch on to cover my temp patch I put on.

Lightening strike took out the 240V GFCI and the main control board on our Hot Tub. Johnathan came out to fix us up and I can tell you, he is awesome. Professional, efficient, knowledgeable and considerate. We have purchased both a swimming pool and a hot tub from Aurora. Sales, Service and support are great. If you ever have a problem Johnathan will make sure it gets fixed right.

So I placed a review on Tuesday stating my extreme dissatisfaction with This company. My husband and I purchased a 27 ft pool back in January. The salesman told us the pool would be installed the first week of April. It is now the middle of June. Every time we call for an installation date we are told it will be a couple more weeks. I was also told that they dont install pools that early in the year so nobody told us they would. Nothing like being called a liar from a company you spent thousands of dollars with. But back to my point, my review is nowhere to be found, but we did recieve a call the following day from someone who claimed to be the installer. Said he would be out today to dig for set up and tomorrow for installation. I have tried to reach installer over 10 times today with no response, no time frame and no idea whats going on except that I have lost a full days pay. For apparently no reason. Good to know they were paid in full 6 months ago

Horrible customer service at their satellite store, and we talked to the Knoxville manager who apologized but forgot to call us back. We purchased the tub at the Knoxville store and the manager was kind enough to take a deposit while I took a day to talk to my husband. We paid via phone and they dropped the tub off, expected my husband to help move it into place. Took the old tub and left. No instructions on hookup. No directions on what was needed to set it up. It would have been the same experience just ordering it online and saving quite a bit of money. I’d suggest skipping the store and ordering online.

Aurora Pools send Jonathan out to put a new spa pack in our hot tub. He was GREAT. Completed it in a timely manner and did a wonderful job. Even answered some questions concerning our pool.

Bought a 8000 dollar hot tub from them one of the pumps went out and I have not had it 3 months. It has been over a week and we still dont have any parts in. Customer service at aurora is horrible!Aurora called today to let me know that they ordered the wrong part which I have been waiting on for 3 weeks. So who knows if it will ever get fixed. They sure didnt wast no time cashing my check for a brand new hot tub that tore up in 3 months

We had a scum appear in our spa and could NOT get it off. Employees were very helpful and knowledgeable about how to remove it, along with the chemicals needed to fully flush and clean system out. Friendly and would definitely buy from them again.

I recently had a 27 foot above ground pool installed at my house that we purchased from Aurora. Our salesman Wyatt was great, very helpful. After the pool was filled with water I noticed that I had 3 leaks on the pump and hoses. I contacted Aurora and they scheduled a technician to come out to fix leaks. Jonathan showed up and fixed all of the problems very quickly and he answered all my questions. He was very knowledgeable and friendly and I would recommend him to anyone needing a good technician. Great Job!!!

I have been into the store several times over the past 12 yrs as a pool and spa owner. Today was the worst of an almost constantly underwhelming experience. I usually do business with another local company but found myself in the neighborhood and went in to simply buy shock and stabilizer, along with a couple of things I wanted for my spa.As I stood waiting, 4 employees with the Aurora Logo on their shirts browzed tiktok, facebook and were laughing it up. I finally got to a point where I could ask the ONE PERSON behind the counter if she was available to help me. A person I assume to be the manager came to where I was standing and asked one of the girls to help me. She had said hello as I entered, but suddenly, it was I didnt know you were hereShe didnt have any answers as to a question I had that would have possibly resulted in my changing my chemical system for my pool, so I finally asked for a case of shock and stabilizer. I was never asked any questions about my pool, I told them I wasnt familiar with the brands they carried and the only time I was spoken to in a less than condescending tone was when that same manager made his presence known.FOUR PEOPLE on a couch couldnt help me without a manager telling them to do so and then, they acted as if THEY were doing ME the favor!I was an idiot to go back there after this being the case in the past, but believe me, I wont be back.As I left, there was a couple asking about an installation and they were as rude to them as to me and these people were spending THOUSANDS of dollars with them compared to my measley little $100 purchase...I HIGHLY recommend Great Backyard Place, and would NEVER mention a competitor, but Im that angry that my business and possibly continued business with this company was so unappreciated, along with those who were there to spend much more than I.THIS IS MONEY WE DONT HAVE TO SPEND WITH YOU, AURORA... IN THIS INDUSTRY, YOU SHOULD BE STRIVING FOR EXCELLENCE, BECAUSE THIS IS CONSIDERED OPTIONAL SPENDING. The fact that the first statement made was that I hadnt purchased much told me all I need to know. The harsh and uneducated comment was very indicative of why the staff was so quick to act the way that they did towards me. I certainly wont bother them again. As I stated in my original review, Ive never gone in and felt that I was valued as a customer, even when I was buying my first pool 12 yrs ago, which is why I bought elsewhere, but I figured everyone wasnt as disinterested as the person who helped me then. I do get that not everyone is trained to do analysis, sales, etc...but contrary to the owners comments, this person was supposed to be able to answer my questions, because the Manager chose them from the group of folks on the couch. I admit I may have been unfair in my comments about family, but Ive always been told that this is a family run business, thus my comment.

Never, ever buy anything from Aurora Spa and Billiard! We ordered a 27 ft. salt water pool, a purchase of more than $5,000, over a year ago and made at least 17 recorded calls to find out when it would be delivered and installed. They were nearly impossible to reach snd when we did speak to someone, we kept getting the same run around with a probably by some week that would come and go without as much as a phone call from them (NEVER a reason or apology for the delay), causing us to cancel our vacation plans 3 times. After 11 months, we lost all faith in them and feared what an irresponsible mess it would be if they ever did deliver and install the pool. Ultimately, we called and cancelled the order. They are now refusing to refund all of the money. We are elderly with a retired husband on a fixed income. What kind of business would do that?

Only gave 1 star because I had to to leave a review...LIARS AND THIEVES... bought a spa in July 2019 5995.00 was promised by Steve that it was a great spa and would stand up to the outdoor elements and RENTERS .. Within the first 2 weeks the blue tooth went out 2x. Now in Oct 14 months later the Topside control panel went out. 2 1/2 weeks later I final call again to find out whats going on . Amazing part is coming in today but because I have a rental cabin its not covered. But paper work says 3 years warranty and absolutely nothing about being a rental cabin. Alex was very rude 2 weeks ago. BBB is going to here from me . Buyers beware dont buy here they lie and sell garbage and charge outrageous prices .

I’ll give you credit for the sale, you all were quick to attend to our needs when we were spending money. However, when we tried to get our hot tub serviced less than a month after the sale, you’re no where to be found. Called and left messages, went to the store to get something scheduled and was told “you’ll get a call first thing in the morning” and nothing. I know the response from you will be “it’s our busiest time of year!” but that doesn’t make up for bad customer service. We almost didn’t purchase from Aurora because we read enough bad reviews concerning your service department but hoped they were the exception...I guess it’s not. I can’t wait for your response, hopefully it’s more professional than your customer service.

Jonathan and Chris came out to change the sand and laterals in our filter. Did a great job. Great communication and they did a great job answering some other questions I had. They went above and beyond.

Recently I called their service dept back in Oct and left a message for them to call me regarding a service call that I would need to set up. I never heard back from anyone so I called again the following week and actually spoke to someone. They told me the earliest someone could come out would be in 2 weeks, Oct. 31st. I said ok. It is now Nov. 3rd and I havent heard a word from Aurora regarding my scheduled service appt. What a huge disappointment. They obviously dont care about the service end of the business; only the sales. What a shame.

I purchased a home with a Nordic hot tub which needed repairs. I called Aurora Pool & Spas strictly because they were listed as a dealer, but will call on them again because of the outstanding service I received. The serviceman, Jonathan P., came promptly and prepared. He immediately diagnosed the issue and had parts in the truck to fix it. Not only that, he took time to explain the operation and upkeep with me patiently and skillfully. I was unfamiliar with hot tubs and this was so appreciated. I am planning to visit the store for supplies and will not hesitate to call on them for service again. Truly 5 stars!

Too bad no one there knew that you could use a higher KW heating element for a hottub. They were out of the 4Kw universal heater element. (4Kw to 5.5Kw) It would have saved me a trip to West Knoxville to Campbells which doesnt sell hottub parts to end up at Backyard Grills that did.

My husband Charles and I purchased a home with an above ground pool, and had no idea how to open and maintain it. Jonathan came out yesterday morning and changed all that! Jonathan Pinchak did an excellent job on my hot tub repair. It is an older spa and the circuit board had burned out he thought he had one at the store as soon as he returned he called me back to let me know he did have the part. He came out quickly on Monday and repaired the tub. It was a pleasure having Jonathan complete the repairs. Thank you very much for excellent service!!!

Try to call did not answer the phone had leave a message. Drove up only to find several employees standing around. I informed them about the phone call and they stated they were short staffed. The staff was just stay around talking amongst each other while the phone was ringing. When I asked about a product was told they would go look to see if they have it in and let me know. Wait around they never came looking for me. Went backup to the counter after 10 minutes and was asked if I needed help again. Told them someone was looking up something for me only to find out that they was out.

Bought a pool at a great price. Friendly and helpful staff. Customer of many years with no complaints. The best help on keeping my pool clear and cloudy free. Free water testing and great price on chemicals. Its simple to run your pool with the help of Aurora pools.

The two men that opened our pool this year did an excellent job. They were very knowledge about the task at hand and gave us information to help us throughout the rest of the year. We were very pleased with their customer service as well.

Jonathan Pinchak came out changed out our filter and he explained who to hook up the vacuum, back wash, rinse, winterize the pool this winter. He showed my how to read the gauge. Just want to say thanks to Johnathan and Chris for getting our hot tub back up and running. They were both very good at their job and had it fixed very fast. The price to fix was very fair. If there was anything i could change there, is the the man that schedule the repairs, when i called him hes hard to heard due to him using only a speak phone or something, and when he listen to my problem he told me how to repairs it my self first and then call back if that didnt work. I usually dont get into reviews, but after mine and my families experience at Aurora Pool and Spa on Central in Knoxville I had to write something. I can say the reason we bought a spa from Aurora is because of Scott, he was beyond helpful from the moment we met him and his product knowledge is fantastic. My wife and I looked at a number of places but decided to purchase the Big Easy Jacuzzi because of Scott, actually he was the main reason, just amazing and professional retail sales person. I can honestly say I believe the success of this company is because of people like Scott so I strongly suggest seeing him if you go to the store on Central, hes prompt and extremely pleasant to deal with we will definitely be back for sure.

I generally do not participate in reviews however I have been doing business with this company for almost the entire twenty years they have been open at this location. Aurora has many long term personnel that I have seen over the years. As a multi small business owner myself I highly recommend to experience it for yourself if you are in the market for any of their products or services.

The staff is so knowledgeable on the products they sell and how to get your water balanced and looking great.Recently I was in need of a new robotic pool cleaner and I ended up with an Aquabot cleaner. Katie walked me through the differences between the models and I must say the one I settled on is great. It cleans the whole pool, filters water as its doing that and is so easy to clean.If you are in need of anything to do with pools this is the place to go!

These guys are the best, when I bought my hot tub they went out of the way to accommodate me with delivery, install etc., and a good price! I recently needed some service, called Steve, he took care of me right away and sent the service department out next day! Jonathan came out, was very professional, polite and had me back up and running in no time. Would highly recommend the complete team to anybody looking to make a purchase with Aurora Pool and Spa. If I could give them 10 stars I would!

This place is great. We bought our hot tub here more than 12 years ago and get all our supplies from Aurora. A few years back one of their technicians installed a new pump in our tub and the service was professional and quick. The staff are always kind, patient, and helpful. I especially recommend this place to anyone looking for their first pool or tub. The staff are not pushy and will provide you will all the information needed to make your purchase decision. My next hot tub will be an Aurora tub as well.

Poor customer service. Our pool started leaking, gushing water more like it from around the pump. Once it slowed we called Aurora for them to be no help. They blamed us for not buying some closing kit. We are new to owning a pool and we’re told we had everything we need to use it. We picked up chemicals a few days after installation (had to wait for it to fill) and were told nothing more. So instead of trying to troubleshoot at all we were blamed and hung up on. We figured the problem out ourselves. I just personally can’t stand a company with poor customer service otherwise the review would be a 3 or 4, but in no way even before today would I have considered them a five star.

We just had a new pool liner installed by Aurora Pools. Carly was great to work with. She was able to get us scheduled in a timely manner. At installation Josh was extremely helpful. The liner looks beautiful! Thanks Scott for all your help and for taking the time to answer all of our questions. We appreciate it!

We thought so highly of the professional service we received from Aurora, we have already recommended them to our friends and neighbors. Scott was able to answer all our questions and explain all the different features of their hot tubs so we could make an educated buying decision. They delivered the tub in a timely manner and explained the steps needed to hook it up. They offer free water testing which is great. They were able to tell us exactly what products we needed to get our water right for the tub. We are thoroughly enjoying our new hot tub!

We recently purchased a pool from Scott MacDonald at Aurora, and we had a great experience. We had several questions and didnt know where to begin, so we first sent a general email, and Scott answered. We went out and met with him, and he was knowledgeable and down-to-earth. He explained all the details and answered all our questions. Even after the pool was installed, he has continued to answer any questions we have. The staff at Aurora has also been most helpful as we learn the ropes and take in our water for testing. We have had a very positive experience; the entire process went smoothly. We highly recommend Scott and Aurora.

Called to renew our sand filter and replace rings on the leaky motor pump. Jonathan, Dustin, and Scott(?not sure if thats correct ) came out and did a great job. Very polite and knowledgeable. We are happy with the results. Thanks, guys!
