We had a great experience at Best Buy in Joliet, IL today! We were buying a new printer and we remembered that we saw a promotion for a discount with trade in of an old printer. We didn’t have the old printer with us, so we were fully prepared to leave the new printer there and come back. The manager Cory made a wonderful exception and gave us the discount anyway, let us get the new printer immediately and bring back the old one at our convenience. What an exceptional display of customer service. Cory went above and beyond and made my wife extremely happy!

Corporate need to check their Management training due to the fact one of the manner an older whote lady was extremely rude & her attitude needs to be corrected especially with customers. From the time we called for an appointment until the time we left the store everyone was trying to sell the new iphone. All we wanted was to fix the iphone we had with apple care. After 2 hours of being dragged department to department and told they only had the new iphone, they suddenly pull out the replacement phone that they claimed not to have on multiple instances.

I can remember when we used to be able to walk in to a Best buy and just like Comp USA, TigerDirect, Micro Center and a few others, you could get internal components for your computer. Now all they have are external cables and accessories. Lost my faith in the big box stores.

My last visit was very poor. I saw several employees in the store, everyone seemed to be preoccupied with things other than helping customers. I was there planning on spending at least $1,000 but there was no one to help me. After waiting near where I needed help for 15 minutes, I spent another 20 minutes wandering the store. With no employees available to help, I left. The only person that even spoke to me was the door guy making sure people arent stealing. I ordered from elsewhere online. I like to shop locally when I can, but best buy needs to better their service.

I walked into Best buy in Joliet Illinois today with the intention of returning my new Samsung Galaxy active 3 watch. Well I kind of thought the watch was cool but it would not do some of the things that were advertised. Cam was the associate with whom I spoke and as luck would have it he also had the same watch and had the same issue that I had. He took a little extra time with me and showed me what might be a resolution so I walked away for a while inside the store and did some reloading of apps etc etc. The watch would still not do what I needed to do but I was very pleased with the level of customer service that cam gave me.

I love Best Buy. We went there to get a a tv and happened to go to the store at dinner time and were the only customers in there for about 20 minutes which brought us attention from all the employees who were very friendly and helpful. We found a TV and a mounting bracket and a little sound bar all going in our cabin.

I used to love this location up until I got absolutely screwed over by one of the representatives. I went in on December 6th to buy a device and paid it off the same day in store. The representative typed in the wrong amount making me delinquent 3 month for $4 and some change. I didn’t realize I was delinquent until my credit score dropped 90 points... Best Buy Citibank won’t do anything and I can’t have it disputed through the credit bureau because all information through Citibank is “correct”. If you come to this store, save yourself the time and don’t pay your stuff off inside.

I went to Best buy after I had visited the Verizon Store across the street.. I paid for an Alcatel and switched my number to a new carrier from Boost Mobile.. the geek squad Verizon Expert Robert.. was very attentive and knowledgeable.. had the service switched to the new phone and within an hour had downloaded a few necessary apps and did a little free gift in game management.. then when Robert had returned from lunch.. I explained a problem that once identified we agreed to the path of solution that Ill take on.. on Monday.. ***** stars for Best Buy enthusiasm.. three stars for Verizon for first not being able to reach compatibility with my device.. and a little extra credit if redemption for having a phone that dropped half in price when rung up.. Im still going to shop for a similar device in the Verizon Store App.. once I get in there..I want to be able to edit this review with another redemption star for my first week with Verizon PrePaid..

On July 7th 2021 I ordered a Pioneer stereo and backup camera for my car through Geek Squad and because they had a special running was supposed to be free installation and was a price of roughly $460 or so. I had to wait I had to wait until July 27th 2021 for installation and had received 5 confirmation emails in the weeks leading up to it stating my equipment was waiting for me at automotive installation on the day of my appointment. I showed up early and the installers asked me if I had the equipment with me. I was sent to Customer service to wait in line 1st, then unapologetically stated it wasnt there check geek squad separate pickup?... stated I was not waiting again and I had to drag that employee tooth and nail to look for it. They also didnt know what was going on. I was sent back to installation were they unapologetically told me the guy who I ordered it with over the phone Customer service Geek Squad made a mistake and I should have known that I have to pay for it ahead of time!!! The so called manager offered no sort of compensation for this horrendous mistake on their part or for wasting my whole day. I was told now that it would cost over $700 and would have to wait till the end of August (over a month) for installation... I spoke customer service, which now is in the Philippines, and after wasting 38 minutes speaking to 2 different representatives attempting to resolve this issue I was disconnected and nobody from Geek Squad Philippines attempted to call me back although both of those customer service representatives confirmed my phone number and email address. I will be spending my money elsewhere from now on DO NOT waste your time or money at Best Buy it is not how it used to be. This is a sinking ship with unsatisfied and uninterested employees that have no interest in helping you, especially in Joliet, Illinois.

When I got my desktop I originally went in for a different brand yet felt pushed to get one I was not sure about due to the employee messing up on the system and putting the wrong address, having to go back and then render the desktop I wanted unavailable. Nothing but scam artist disguised as retail. The store will honor nothing said form their service line. You can have your receipt, copy of your protection plan and a verification number from the service line that you spoke with earlier... doesnt matter. Any repair, return or exchange will be store discretion. Wont even return the money for a protection plain that they wont honor.

Save an Extra 10% if Know the TrickThis is a big and well run Best Buy. They have a good inventory and will price match most local retailers as well as Amazon and other major online retailers. The staff here always seems knowledgeable.You can get an extra 5% back in rewards points if youre a member of the Best Buy Rewards Club. Its free to join with no fees. You can get another 5% back if you use a Best Buy Visa card and usually an extra discount on your first purchase. So you can often end up 10% below Amazon or the best price you find elsewhere. If they dont have it in stock will bring it in to the store for pickup with no shipping charge.

Loved our salesperson! They really helped us out in finding the right match for our home appliances. However the bathrooms were so bad had I gone in them first I would have just left. It smelled bad and there were sewer flies everywhere and it looked like they had just had it closed and opened it too soon.

Tim i believe was the installer who installed my remote start system. He did a fantastic job explaining everything including the extra precautions they take during the installation. Highly recommended and the price for the remote start was an awesome deal. Most remote starters were asking for 450+ for the same type of system. He was real thorough and professional.

We worked with a nice gentleman in the Apple section. However, I had been in 2 days prior. An employee brought up a product he thought would work for us and allowed me to screenshot it from his phone. I showed that picture to the gentleman who initially looked in the area where we were but eventually found it elsewhere. Shelves were fairly empty for beginning of the week. When we got up to the register the product rang up for $6 more than was shown on my picture. She charged us what it rang up for. And my Best Buy reward wouldnt come up on my account. So all in all, so-so customer service.

Surprised to discover today you can only drop off a computer for the Geek Squad by appointment only. Earliest appointment is 2 days from now. Its disappointing to discover service areas arent as prompt as the purchase itself was and doesnt match what they tell you when you pay extra for Geek Squad coverage. I sincerely hope there wont be a ton of things in the fine print that keep them from fixing my laptop and making the Geek Squad coverage a waste of money all around.

Guy at the front sent me to the wrong place when I asked him where to find something but when I asked someone in the back she didnt know but asked someone and he knew, showed me exactly where it was and she checked me out in the back because I had one thing and the lines upfront were crazy.There parking lot was insane, a lot of curb side pick ups and I drive a big truck and was hard to turn down any aisle but the people were nice and backed up for me so I could get in a spot.
