TERRIBLEI brought in my iPad Pro 12.6 (loaded, modem, 256G) to have the charging jack replaced. It was completely functional (except for the intermittent jack) when I brought it in. Out of warranty, but in perfect order. 10 days later I get it back, jack is fixed but the touch screen is dead. Zero touch, useless. Obviously, I complained. Response: That sometimes happens, thats why we ask you to sign the release when I brought it in. So they break it, but I eat it.OK, I did sign the boiler plate release (had to, or they wouldnt touch it), but maybe they will accept mine as trade-in for a new one. Nope, It wont pass the functional test. Catch 22!And it wIll take 6-8 weeks to get a replacement from them. Screw that, I ordered direct from Apple.com, delivered in 5 days.So my simple charging jack repair cost over $1500. The store looks like an apple store, but looks are deceiving. It aint.

I told them I needed a Thunderbolt 3 cable. They sold me the wrong cable (USB-C). So when I returned it, they made me pay them because the box was opened. I went to them for expertise, they gave incompetence, and then made me pay them for their incompetence. If like doing business with people who have integrity, go elsewhere.

I found my dead cell phone on the floor and my cat on the desk. Lee said to keep the cat, that the 3rd party battery and offbrand battery installer was the issue. I had recently purchased the battery and the person who installed had glued it in and done other funky stuff. I will never stray again! These guys cleaned up my phone, installed a new proper battery plus a waterproof seal, and had the phone back in my hands within a few hours. They were so reassuring and diplomatic ~ consummate professionals!

The products are great and the service is decent when there’s no other customers in line. The poor rating is due to the fact that the workers don’t acknowledge you when you walk in. They could at least say something like, β€œhi I’ll be right with you” or β€œit’s going to be x amount of minutes”. And it seems like there’s usually someone working in the back, it would be greatly if whoever was working in the back could assist with customers when there is a line. I also don’t like the unboxing fee, they don’t give a full refund if you bring something back even if you didn’t use it.

Ive been an Apple user since the earliest days of the company and have never had such a negative experience with a dealer. Let me count the ways: was sold a damaged phone and told I cant return it without a 25% penalty (counter to Apple corporate policy), data transfer botched, and the Apple Care I purchased not applied until I called three times. Dont expect to find the product you want either.

The workers are very nice and helpful but they overcharge like crazy. I needed something fixed and they wanted $500 for it. I contacted apple directly and they charged me $200 including the shipping materials and shipping itself and I got my computer back in 5 days working perfectly. Like I said workers are very nice and knowledgeable but the store isn’t worth it. Just sent it to apple itself. All I did was ask for a quote through email and they responded almost immediately with a price. It is cheaper and incredibly fast service considering it was big island to Texas and back. The apple person I spoke to said that since this place was just an apple affiliated store they could charge whatever they wanted, meaning it doesnt have to recognize the true apple pricing shows it may not be the best place to have your devices serviced. I say again the workers there were wonderful and helpful but the store overcharges.

Had issues with my Mac for months. Called Mac Made Easy and they recommended I bring it in for a quick check up. Dropped it off on Tuesday the service tech called me early Wednesday to give me a few options to replace a bad hard drive. Computer was fixed and returned in less than 24 hours. Awesome, awesome service! Worked with Henry, Aaron and Forrest All workers top-notch and professional.Mac Made Easy was easy and I wished I didnt wait so long to get my Mac fixed.

The team at Mac Made Easy are awesome! They do great work, they treat you with respect, and they are quite helpful. Recently took my 2015 MacBook Pro in for a screen recall repair, and they got the parts ordered quickly and did the job professionally in quick fashion. They were also able to make a couple other needed repairs and didnt charge me an arm and a leg for it. They are definitely the go to for your Mac needs and wants.

Came here to get my MacBook Air repaired under its warranty. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. I had to leave my device there longer than expected due to travels and they were very understanding and accommodating. I payed 60$ for them to tell me that my computer was corroded and would not be able to function. The day I picked up my computer, I was told that it could be fixed for a small fee of 900$. For a cost like that you may as well buy a new computer. I am initially writing this review to let them know, that my computer is working just fine, now that I restarted it myself! I have a basic understanding of how computers work, and if I was able to fix it myself then I know that they did not even try.So in conclusion, if youre willing to pay a large amount of money for something that you could probably do yourself, then by all means go to Mac made easy!

I had problem with my macprobook Brought it in 3 times before the problem occurred in shop. Replaced swollen battery but the problem was not solved. They did something else and I was charged more for checking it out a couple times. Finally bought a refurbished 27 inch. One week later the bluetooth keyboard is not connecting. Now I have to take in computer and keyboard for them to check it out. Yes it is under 90 day warranty but I not very happy with the charges and lack of finding problem. And now 1 week later again driving 35 miles to have refurbished one looked at. Very dissappointed in service from Mac Made NOT so easy

Horrible service. My friend and I walked in there inquiring about an external hard drive, and a young female sales clerk with long hair came over to help us. She was attractive, but unfortunately, very unhelpful with no personality. She spoke in a condescending tone and was not accommodating. My husband went into the store a month ago and spoke to a male employee who told him that they would be happy to help show us how to set up the external hard drive so that it would back up automatically. When I told the sales clerk that, her response was Oh, he said that? We dont do that. It mustve been the trainer and hes no longer here. She then said that theyre overstaffed and cant do that unless we pay $30 for training. There was only two of us in the store at that time, and two of them (employees)! Then when I asked if I could plug in my computer, she hesitantly said yeah with no smile. It was obvious she wasnt interested in helping us.My friend was also disappointed at the service she witnessed that we eventually walked out. There was NO ALOHA SPIRIT. Hilo is a small town, and people will definitely hear about their service. But she actually did me a favor, I picked up the hard drive at another store where the sales clerks were very helpful, and it cost half the price!

I had the best experience when I went to the Mac Made Easy-Hilo Store. I was so nervous because I purchased a 2017 MacBook Pro from apple (and did not purchase the Apple Care), and my computer screen unfortunately broke. I was worried and didnt know what to do, but I mustered up the courage and took my broken computer to Mac Made Easy and the employees there made me feel so much better. Because they are a certified Apple Store, they immediately assisted me with the broken screen issue. Unfortunately, there were unique issues on Apples end and Apple sent them the computer back still broken. Mac Made Easy employees were so diligent and took EXTRA care of me and communicated with Apple and Apple ended up fixing the screen that same week.I highly recommend this business because they truly care about their customers and go the extra mile to make sure that their customers are #1. I will always feel confident when I have any other technical problem when I need their services again. A++++++

I had a great experience here. I waited weeks to take my Airbook to an Apple Store stateside as I had no faith in these guys based on these reviews. At the Apple Store I was given a very gloom and doom prognosis of my laptop- I was ready to scrap it. Something told me to bring it home anyway- and am I glad I did! I took my laptop into Mac Made Easy- stellar customer service!! Although my laptop was indeed dead- they were able to get the data off it for a reasonable price- not the hundreds of dollars I was quoted stateside. I will CERTAINLY be back for all my Mac needs and highly recommend them to anyone who too has Mac needs.Thanks guys- you salvaged some very precious picturesπŸ˜‚

Really great team at Mac Made Easy! My macbook air was getting on in age, I tried to do some replacements myself but it got worse. The guys at Mac Made Easy checked it out, explained the whole situation to me and what they can do to solve it - unjudgingly the entire time, which I appreciate! Got my macbook back a few days later all fixed up! Unfortunately, some minor issues remained that I later discovered that evening. As soon as I brought it to the teams attention, they were very eager to make it right and took it back for some fixes under warranty. 5 year old macbook is working good as new!

My wife went in to talk to someone about my iPhone battery problems. No one greeted her, no one said, β€œJust a moment please.” Nothing, nada. After waiting for a while, she walked into the ATT store across the parking lot. She was immediately greeted and someone took care of her. She told them about the nonexistent customer service next door. They tried to help, but since we have an Apple problem, she left empty handed. I encouraged her to go back to the β€˜Apple’ store. This time she walked past the front counter and straight to the back of the store where she got service. I suggest you do the same.

Dude will try to talk circles around you, dont worry about it he does it to everyone. But they are pretty good at fixing what they can- I am sure they are much better at fixing laptops then iPhones (because apple limits their ability to work on iPhones). However, if you are on big island and have a phone issue its definitely worth stopping by.They do have a knowledgeable staff, dont let the first have of this review fool you; they are not idiots and are in fact very well trained. Guy could just use more people skills....talking to an old asain women about which operating system does what and not giving any suggestions is a waste of time.

I have no issue with the sales staff on my initial visit to the Mac Made Easy, Hilo location. I stopped by when when I thought my iPhone charging dock was being finicky. (Turns out nothing was wrong. My phone charged normally after my store visit. Ah technology.) But, I still decided to upgrade my iPhone while I was at the store. The prospect of a phone with an amazing camera was exciting. Both employees were friendly and helpful.It was my second visit that went awry. I returned to receive a promotional upgrade credit within 14 days of purchasing my phone. The promotion started two days after I bought my phone. I, however, am entitled to this credit because of Verizon’s price guarantee policy. I even checked with a Verizon customer service rep before driving an hour back to Hilo.As one might imagine, I was pretty flabbergasted when I was told that the promotion couldn’t be honored to protect Verizon from β€˜fraud’. I even spoke to a supervisor on Oahu who reiterated the same information. Both employees, though somewhat apologetic, would NOT waiver. I still do not understand why I could not return my phone. No employee outright accused me of committing fraud, but the implication was very hurtful.I then called Verizon, per the supervisor’s recommendation, and was told that I was within my right to return my phone for any reason within 14 days and receive the promotional credit per their price guarantee. And no one that I spoke to at Verizon ever told me that a fraud clause even exists!Now I wouldn’t be writing this review, in fact I’ve never written a Google review, if not for the fact that Mac Made Easy is an β€˜authorized Verizon retailer’. So I truly hope that the staff, from the person who greets you to the lead store supervisor, receives PROPER training. I realize we are an island in the middle of the Pacific, but protocol has clearly fallen apart.In the end, Verizon made it right. So I HIGHLY recommend going to their corporate stores until training improves.My response to the owner:Apologies for my late response. I have a full work schedule, which is why it was all the more aggravating that I spent my weekend trying to remedy the Verizon price guarantee over the course of two trips to Hilo to the tune of four hours in the car.The statement that I did not return to your store within fourteen days is a lie. I do not appreciate being called a liar. My receipts show that I purchased my phone on April 3rd and I returned on April, 16th. AND I actually tried to return my phone to the Mac Made Easy, Kona location on April, 10th and was told that a return could not be made because of inadequate training. (I appreciated the honesty but not the confusion.) The Kona location even called the Hilo location and I was subsequently told that I needed to return to the Hilo location to return my phone. I was also told by a Verizon representative that I needed to return to the Hilo location to return my phone. All of which is precisely why I returned to Hilo to return my phone!!All I hoped for in writing my review was an apology for the implication that I was doing anything fraudulent. (Again, there is no Verizon fraud clause.) A best price guarantee is put in place to encourage consumers to inquire and benefit from company promotions, thereby creating consumer loyalty. At the very least, all employees should be trained on how to make a return. A consumer may want to return a device for any number of reasons within fourteen days. This is a basic principle that should be honored. Do the right thing and empower your employees! Please!!

They (Mac Made Easy Hilo) has a used-car salesman mentality..... buy your product there and once youre out the door.... its the middle finger salute to the customer.The caucasian sales boy with the pony tail and tattoos on his legs is unprofessional, rude and arrogant. You have a setup question regarding an $850.00 Apple Product that I bought from their store a month ago, and the arrogant boy comes straight out and says, I dont have time and Ive got to take other peoples money! If I could give 10 stars, I would. My MacBook needed a battery replacement and after over a month of frustrating communications with the Apple Store and AppleCare, the guys at Mac Made Easy came through in a huge way. They went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of, and even from the very first phone call it was such a huge improvement from what I had been dealing with previously. I have never had a better experience with a Mac repair.Will -- I cant thank you enough for your professionalism, patience and diligence. Its entirely because of you that I was able to get my computer back up and running in such a timely manner. OK, so I went to the mac store to take advantage of the battery change for 29$’s. The service was ok, there was 1 customer that was being assisted when I arrived. I was assisted after a 5 minute wait. I was told he needed to do a diagnostic check first. It was confirmed I needed a new battery, I already knew that because my battery could not hold the charge after it was disconnected from the charger. I answered all his general questions and was told it would take 5 to 7 days. UMMM ????? Why so long to just change a battery? His answer was they were back logged. OK so I agreed to be without a phone for 5 to 7 days, now comes the kicker. Upon further inspection ( with his micro scope eyes)he tells me that my phones glass has a minute misalignment and due to APPLES requirements he is unable to replace my battery. So I look at him and says are you serious. Then he goes into the whole salemanship thing that because its APPLE’s policy he can change my battery BUT he will have to charge me the regular battery change price of $80 and it could also cost me up to $200. Then he goes on to say if I wanted to switch carriers to Verizon because duh they are a Verizon affiliated Mac Made Easy store. My reply was, give me my phone and I walked out. NOT HAPPY:(So I went to the β€œBIG ISLAND IPHONE REPAIR SERVICE” located in downtown Hilo upstairs in a nondescript office with just a counter and 2 chairs. The gentleman asked me what I needed help with and I explained I need to change my battery from my Iphone. He took my phone, asked us to sit, it will take a few minutes he said. The time it took to β€œget help” at the Mac Made Easy Store my phone was done, battery changed, just like that,easy No drama no BS. A HAPPY CUSTOMER. I will preach to whoever will listen to me, if you have issues with your Iphone Do Not Hesitate, go see these guys, they will make life so much easier. I promise.Aloha,Charles

Weve done business with them for about 5 years. Over that time weve purchased a desktop (Mac Mini) an iPad, two laptops & other accessories. Seems theyre glad to sell you things, but when you come back with warranty problems be prepared to feel like youre in an investigating room with a harsh lamp overhead & a couple of mean guys zealously interogating you. I recently took in a Powerbook charger that had quit working. They refused to warranty it, even though it was covered under AppleCare. They said I must have plugged it into something else before I plugged it into my Powerbook. ??? A trained monkey can plug in the magnet charger end into the laptop. How can you NOT do it right? Ill be making my Apple purchases directly from Apple online now. Ill send them my warranty stuff, too. You would think with the patronage weve given them, they wouldnt refuse a $79 warranty issue. Pretty cocky bunch down there, at least a couple of them that Ive dealt with.

When it came to my turn, this girl that was helping me, offended me because in the middle of helping me another customer walked in, so she immediately greeted her and started to help this customer. I thought that she would have said hi Ill be right with you. Nope, she kept on helping her as if I wasnt important. I was there to purchase a laptop for my wife for Christmas. So, I walked out! WOW! Ill called back to address my concerns, Evan (the manager) answered. I told him what happened and the first thing he does is defend his worker and say they were busy. He said to come back and hell help me personally. What they didnt understand is that I was offended that I got pushed to the side. Before that, nobody pushed the customers before me aside to help me. I said Ill come back in if he would help me on the price of the laptop I was trying to buy because I got treated wrong. He said no, I dont give discounts. Im here to earn business. Lol! Ok, keep offending more people, and not make things right. I would love to see how long you will last. I guess Ill buy one someplace else! These days, we have more options than just you. Lucky we have the internet! To all my friends and family who reads this, I think its time that we need to stop shopping at places that doesnt really care about customers. One day these types of business will understand that the owners of their companies dont write their checks, we do! Zero customers equals zero profit. Ask your owner to write a pay check then!
