I came in to get my hearing aids cleaned and adjusted. Dr. P. did a great job of changing parts and cleaning. My hearing was twice as good as when I came in. The only part I dont like is the $100 patient adoption fee. Feels a little like pet adoption. And, no need to charge to get someone into a (computer) system. Otherwise, they are a great place to go for hearing issues.

I first saw Dr. Baker in 2008 when I lost a hearing aid and he worked for the University of Florida. So when one of my hearing aids stopped working last year, I went to see him. He fixed it but I ended up getting a new pair because they have vastly improved. Dr. Baker is very personable, knowledgeable and helpful.

I have Meneires Disease, which is a fluid imbalance in the inner ear and with that I have experienced some hearing loss. I was referred to Dr. Ryan Baker, Doctor of Audiology and he personally performed the hearing test. After the test he spent as much time as I needed to explain the problems with my hearing, and how a hearing aid (or ear bling) might benefit me. I now have a hearing aid in my left ear, and meet with Dr. Baker as often as necessary to tweak the device. I encourage anyone with any kind of hearing loss to take advantage of Dr. Baker’s knowledge before you make any purchases to enhance your hearing.

I have nothing but the highest praise for the audiologists, particularly Dr. Diana Guercio. It has been a life changing experience, that she made possible.

Today is August 28, 2020 and I am following up on a review that I posted 2 years ago. About a week ago a nurse at the facility where my mother lives called me and informed me that she (mom) was having difficulties hearing. I told the nurse that I was out of town and would address the matter as soon as I returned home. Upon returning I called Accent Audiology and spoke with Barbara about the problem my mother was having.. She set up appointment with Alex at Accent Physicians (located in a separate office in the same building) to clean the inside of her ears and an appointment immediately after with Dr Baker, her audiologist. My mother is 96 and getting her anywhere is quite a chore so being able to both things in one day made it very easy for the both of us. On top of that, she was able to make this happen the very next day. I picked my mom up and found that she could not hear a thing. Not a thing! I then took her in and as Alex was cleaninig her ears Dr Baker left his office and came over and took my mothers hearing aids back to his office. As Alex finished Dr Baker returned with the hearing aids and said I think you are going to notice a big difference. I put them on my mothers ears and found that she could hear once again. Just a few comments on this experience. Thank you Barbara for making the appointments. Dealing with a person who has Alzheimers is difficult enough but adding deafness is almost overwhelming. I can not thank you enough. Thank you so much Dr Baker for your great service and honesty. We were in a very bad position and you fixed the problem at a very minimal cost You could have said she needs new hearing aids and I would not have known any better. (See review below). Your honesty, service, and quality of product is why I would never hesitate to refer anyone to you. Thank you again!This review is for my elderly mother who is a patient of Dr Baker. Prior to living in Gainesville she purchased Miracle Ear hearing aids on two separate occasions. I am not sure whether it was the hearing aids or the doctors who sold them to her but, in both instances, the products failed to meet even basic expectations. When she moved here, and while the second pair of hearing aids were still under extended warranty, I took her to a local franchise for adjustments. The audiologist there initially wanted several hundred dollars to repair them and then tried to sell her an upgraded set. My mother ended up going several months without being able to hear and completely disgusted with the industry. I do not remember exactly how I found out about Audiology by Accent but I was able to get my reluctant mother to try getting help for her hearing one last time. She was examined here and saw Dr Baker. He measured her and had a pair made. He fitted them for her and made sure that they were adjusted right. She has been wearing them for a year now and I can not over emphasize what a difference that these have made for her quality of life. Dr. Baker has made quarterly adjustments and cleanings that were part of the original cost. Several months ago she dropped one and stepped on it. I took it to Dr Baker and he was able to have the damaged piece replaced at a very fair price and in several days. Dr Baker is a very nice and patient man. He knows his business. I also want to point out that my mother paid less to Audiology by Accent than she did for her prior purchases. I would not hesitate to recommend Audiology by Accent to anyone with hearing issues.
