We absolutely love Carpets Plus Colortile. We will NEVER go anywhere else for our flooring. We used them for the first time two years ago and then moved and just used them again for our new house. Ed (sales rep) and Glenn (installer) are absolutely amazing. So attentive, responsive, and on time. Glenn does a fantastic job and is so efficient. The carpet we purchased was gorgeous BUT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE STAIN RESISTANT and was the exact opposite! You can’t gat stains out of it. We just purchased it and am very disappointed. We have no children and have stains we can’t remove.

A+++ work/quality and timeliness/ease of worry. I dealt directly with Dennie. We were trying to match existing wood floors in the main area of our house to new floors in our 3 bedrooms. Dennie worked with me to find the best match and get me a good price from there.After we decided on the floors, he got us lined up with one of his preferred subcontracting crews. I have never dealt with a crew (Tommy, Eli, Scott, Jeff) so professional and attention to detail oriented. They moved ALL my furniture without a scratch out of and back into the room. I literally had to kick back and do nothing the entire time. It was a fantastic experience. Who knew getting wood floors was so great.

I have been so happy with all the work that Ive had done with this company. Leroy is such a great salesman/coordinator/designer. I basically have a model home and his suggestions in flooring design are perfect. They also, perfectly suit my needs as far as Berber not showing footprints, tile that is beautiful, indoor/outdoor carpet for my garage. I highly recommend them. What happens when they send the wrong door? What happens if the appliance garage door mechanism fails? Well, dont expect Josh at Carpets Plus to respond to your calls if youve already paid them.We have arched upper cabinet doors, but one of them they sent a square one instead. When we tried to call Josh about it, he would not respond.Then the door mechanism that rolls up the appliance garage door failed and Josh would not respond to our calls about that.We finally got a company rep to respond and were told they no longer make the arched doors or replacement parts for the appliance garage. So now our 5 year old cabinets look like cheap rundown unmatched cabinets.

Carpets Plus Colortile did a really nice job with our hardwood floors. They removed tile and blended our old wood and new wood seamlessly. Leroy was really great to work with and his crew did a solid job. If you need floor work done I would recommend Gainesville Carpets Plus Colortile.

Our project was redoing a tiled walk-in shower. This ended up being a total waste of time and money. A one week job that took three weeks with both poor supervision and poor quality of workmanship. Have now found another professional contractor that will guarantee to correct our problems.

We’ve done business with them for 40 years for flooring in our apartments. And most recently in my own home. I can’t thank them enough for their excellent advice and help. They are dependable, reliable and have never let me down. Their selection is excellent as is their installation. It is a family owned business and most of the employees have been there for many years. I consider them friends and am pleased to recommend them without hesitation. I had all of the old stained carpet in my entire house replaced with vinyl plank by Gainesville CarpetPlus. I am very happy with the floor, it looks great.The salesman, Ed was very patient and helpful as I made a few trips to the store and looked at different samples for a couple of weeks.The installers; Glenn and his assistant did a fantastic job installing the floor. The best place around for your carpet and tile needs. They are extremely helpful. Huge selection of product and they have a lot in stock. If they dont have it in stock they can order it and get it there fast. I ordered 1500 sqft of flooring and it looks amazing. I forgot to order the trim to go from tile, they were able to get it in just one day. It is a family ran business and it shows. You feel like they actually want to help you with your project, not just sell you floor. Will use them for all my future projects.

Need new flooring? Forget Home Depot and Lowes. This is the place to go. Denny and his staff are fantastic people, and fun to chat with. The product selection is superb, and fairly priced.

The price was reasonable, however, the service was not that great. Sales person dropped the ball and didnt order enough tile. The installers cut every corner possible and damaged my expensive handle to my shower which cost me over 150 dollars to fix and then they attempted to say I was the one who took it off. I just chalked it all up as a loss, but the shower looks okay. They used cardboard to divided the tile. They got an attitude and didnt show up one day. Top of that, I had to call their bosses to get them to come and finish my work. They tried to up sale me on additional easy work and left things undone. They can get the job done with the resources they have but it is totally on you if you use them because you might get the low budget installers to do your work. I finished the cleaning and fixing of my shower myself. I just wanted them to leave.

Best experience Ive had with any contractor! Was told about the company, and went in to speak with them. Spoke with a nice gentleman by the name of Ed Varnedoe. I was told they could save me some money they sure did! Dwayne Chris and Nick are a great crew! Always courteous, thankful, kind and generous people! I love my new vinyl flooring! 500 square feet done in a day and a half. Thank you all! And I will come back for all my flooring needs.

I just used this business (July 2014) to replace kitchen tile and re-carpet my entire house and my experience was totally different than the one described in another post. The work crew were very respectful of my home, cleaned up when they were done and everything was in fine condition when they left. Sure there was some dust left on things, but you have to expect that when you have tile removed.The workers were friendly yet professional and the job was completed quickly including working on a Saturday to get the job done as soon as possible to coordinate with other work being done.Gabe the individual I worked with at the store for selection and ordering was very knowledgeable, helpful, and responded quickly to questions I posed to him by email. I would not hesitate to use this business again and would definitely recommend it to my friends.

We have had our carpet replaced a few times now over 30 + years. This is the 2nd time we went with this company. We are so very glad we did. Ed our salesman was superb!! He assisted us in making the decision on which product to go with. We did shop around before going with Gainesville Carpet (solely due to the cost involved in carpeting a 2 story home) and others had so many add ins it was rediculous. They were adding for breaking down our bed and large desk. This company never blinked an eye. Our installers were TERRIFIC!! They were always on time, cleaned up after themselves and didn’t even stop for breaks or even lunch. They went the extra step of explaining what a California step was vs waterfall and asked which one I wanted. We had the waterfall each time before but decided on the CA this time. I realized that the CA step was more labor intensive after watching Wayne install them. NO EXTRA charge!! We highly recommend this company!!!!

Used them for an entire home carpet installation. They didnt stretch ANY of the carpet. When I complained,they sent a more installers out that did NOTHING. A full YEAR LATER the company sued me and got a lien on my home! DONT USE GAINESVILLE CARPET!!!! Theyre crooks! They lie. Do terrible work and are bad business!

I used the company to replace the flooring in my home. My experience was not a positive one. The crew which performed the work left my home a mess after they were done. They also damaged some of my property. The job took nearly a month to complete and was not done to my satisfaction. I would not recommend anyone use this company. I thought that by using a specialty store, I would get a better result and I was wrong. I believe I would have been better off if I had used Home Depot or Lowes to replace my flooring.

They literally ripped brand new bifold closet doors off the hinges. We had to repair the doors costing us $165.Thier subcontractor not taking responsibility - no bueno!!

Used to be much better place with which to do business. However : Last few contacts - just bad. Came in to store, spoke to owner / manager - arranged a date and time for him to come over and measure for a bedroom, after he took a trip to another state. Date arrived - no visit for measurements ; No call. Not that day or any other day. Changed review to 3 stars - should have added comments but refrained. Based on my history with them. ( this wouldve been the * 4th * room I used them for )Bought cheap laminate from HD ; searched for an independent installer. Various frustrations. Decided to give GVL Carpet color tile another chance. Nice man named Joe came out to do the measurement ( 3rd time I had had this same room measured in about two months ) but whatever. Went well ; picked up samples at the store and he had already set aside a couple he thought might interest me. I thought - maybe this will work out after all, and restore my faith in this place.Alas, it was not to be. He placed one call to me in the course of all this ; to see what I had chosen, and work up details. I was at work, so I called him back. Got VM and left a message.A week went by. No return call. I finally call THEM . ( they dont want business, apparently ). I get Joe Bc he answers phone - he informs me he never got the VM from me. Hmmm. Well, guess it COULD happen ... Sketchier all the time. He asks for the name / info of my choice I say well I left all that on the VM but ...I call him back after I find the flooring info in my phone. He takes down info, then says he has to look into it with the supplier or something, and says Im with a customer now so Ill have to get back to you . Fair enoughThat was OVER A WEEK AGOyou know- I can be a pretty patient person, but there comes a point where even I dont need to be hit with a brick. 1) No Call / No Show by manager a few months back. No recall nor subsequent apology call. 2) I give them another chance- and again - no responses to VMs, no call - backs. Just : poof. Its like they dont want my business ( have pre-approved Color Tile credit so - they knew they were going to get paid )Im not going to chase these people and beg them to spend my money with their Store. Credit line or No. Ill FIND someone ( anyone?) who WANTS MY BUSINESS. Not people who act as if they are doing you a favor.My advice Is: pick another company !!!

Friendly and very pleasant staff when it came to making our purchase.However, some material was forgotten when I went to pick up the order, so I had to take an additional trip back to the store.My biggest complaint was trying to return the excess material. I was informed by one employee over the phone that they have a very good relationship with the manufacturer of the floors, so it would probably be no issue at all and was transferred to the owners phone to discuss the issue. I left a very detailed message and never received a call back (a week went by). I decided to just drive there to speak to them in person. I dealt with the same employee that sold us the floors. From the get go I was told repeatedly sorry this and that - it would cost $75 to return the materials. I inquired about the underlayment and he stated that I had purchased it from Home Depot - so, no. I wish I had bought it from Home Depot because they would of taken it back. When he finally realized I purchased it from them, he explained that it was a special order that they hardly ever use, so they couldnt take it back. I was a bit annoyed because he highly recommended the specially ordered underlayment himself!!! Add to that, he stated we should of had them install the floors, so it wouldnt have been an issue when returning the extra material. Mind you, he had the measurements and calculated how much material we needed. I left disappointed with $320 worth of extra material that he suggested I should sell on eBay! Seriously, disappointed with them. Im glad we bought our porcelian tiles at Home Depot - they were less expensive (for the same exact tiles sold at carpetplus) and returning the excess material included no hassle whatsoever.
