I thought I had a good rapport with the young lady. Then I make an appointment saying “there is a note on your file by management saying “you cannot book with this person” I’ve only been here twice. The wax specialist was super cordial with me. Actually asked that I rebook because my hair was too short.. go figure. But if it feels hurtful. I feel targeted possibly because I am a person of color. I am a paying customer and nothing was mentioned to me during the 2nd session for what could have been a cancelled appointment that I paid for. Whatever the issue I would say I am not coming back. You shouldn’t be able to pick and chose a paying customer without any type of full disclosure at your discretion.Tell me something that makes sense

I got my eyebrows done with Amber, and she did an absolutely amazing job of fixing them up from my previous wax place. I left today after my second appointment with her with my eyebrows looking better than I’ve ever seen them! She is great at making you feel comfortable and making your brows look exactly how you want them, and I’d totally recommend her to anyone in need of a brow wax!

Excellent visit from start to finish, starting with a warm welcome and pleasant conversation with Riley. Amber, the was specialist, is amazing! I was so nervous going in for a wax service but she was so nice, funny, knowledgeable and really kept my mind off the service. You can tell this is truly a passion for her and it shows. I am really laid back and normally if something goes wrong in a treatment, I laugh it off and move on. BUT, today I came EWC and I went to Preston for my brows and he waxed one of them perfectly but he then took the whole top part of my brow off of the other. One of my eyebrows is double the size of the other and there is nothing I can do about it. If you go here please be careful who you see.

I have been a customer at the Gainesville location since they opened and bought a wax pass in January solely based upon the services I got from Kameisha. I was sent a text message that she was no longer with them and that they had moved my appointment to another specialist. That lost them points. When I called to inquire about the text and appointment, I was told that the day was still available but not the time I selected. More points were lost. I am a healthcare provider and my time off is not only valuable, but I choose it based upon MY availability- not that of the specialist. The reason for more points being lost is because I now have to either choose another specialist (and take a chance on how they provide services) or lose out on over $600. What started out as a good location is no longer good enough for me.

The wax specialist Malia is absolutely amazing, very professional! I definitely recommend, shes my favorite!

All I can say is this place is AMAZING!!! The entire staff are sweethearts. The front desk receptionist are beyond kind.The greatest part of my experience was NIYA when I say she is the best to ever do it. I honestly mean that from the bottom of my heart. I have been waxing for almost 8 years now and will never go back to shaving. This European Wax Center, specifically, offers excellent customer service, helpful skincare tips, and a pleasant experience every time. I just recently went last week and had the pleasure of having Tara as my waxer. She was quick yet thoroughly, outgoing, and provided helpful tips and answers to all my questions. I would definitely recommend not only waxing in general, but this location!

Niya keeps me coming back again and again. She has amazing customer service and takes pride in doing her job and doing it well. I’ve had several wax specialists at many locations and Niya is by far the best. A true asset to the Gainesville location.

I went in to EWC to have my legs waxed and was very happy with my service. Chelsea was personable, made the service quick and painless with beautiful results. My legs have never been this silky smooth. The facility is also very well maintained. I also noticed that the manager of this location was available and constantly present and coaching the employees with positive reinforcement, whereas other places the manager is either never available nor providing a positive atmosphere. Overall I am impressed and happy with my experience at this location. I will definitely be back for more services. Highly recommend!

This was my first and last time trying this location. The text was so rude and made me feel uncomfortable. So I left before I even started. When people are going to be this up close and personal, I need a friendly atmosphere

The center itself is very nice. The receptionist I deal with is very welcoming. My prior tech, Mariana, left to stay home in December. I had Chelsea do my eyebrows and lip today. I was disappointed. I got a sub par wax for my money. She waxed my lip and eyebrows and that was it. I was in and out in 5 minutes. My eyebrows were not trimmed, no lotion or massage eyebrows or lip after I was waxed. I am trying someone else next time

All the team are very friendly & professional, the center is very clean, great aftercare products and I recommend Kameisha the wax specialist she provides excellent service!

I went there twice. The very first time was excellent, the staff was friendly and professional. The woman designed my brows on my face before waxing to make sure it was done just how I wanted it. Second time I went there, the receptionists barely looked at me at the face while I was talking to them. The woman put the oil and whatever and did my brows however SHE wanted, my brows looked super separated from each other and thin. She also spilled some wax on my hair.I told them that I was not happy with the result and none of the staff offered an apology and of course, they charged me the full price. All they said was that I could make a reservation and be treated by another person. I will never come back to this place.

I wish I could give a good review because I had high expectations for this establishment, but unfortunately I can’t. I took advantage of their first-time customer Brazilian wax promotion, and honestly they will not be receiving my business again. The wax did not have a smooth finish, I had plenty of hairs left, and on top of that I grew in-grown hairs (which I’ve never experienced) despite the claims of using a “preventative” serum. Please go to Brazils, they are AMAZING. This place needs to do some reevaluation on its service.

I had a great experience here. The receptionist was very nice and even got me in early after I accidentally showed up early for my appointment. The girl that did my waxing was very nice and did a great job. I will be going back and the prices are worth it

So I have been waxing for over a year at the gainesville location and I did not know how unprofessional it was until now. For the front desk girl Sarah take a personal issue and turn it into deleting your reservation without letting you know or confirming if you wanted it deleted is completely unprofessional. If I did not check on the app to confirm my time before driving all the way over there I would have made a trip for nothing.

Went to the Gainesville location for the first time today. I frequent the Miami location very often and love all the waxers there. My waxer today made my eyebrows entirely way too thin and they don’t match at all whatsoever. I felt uglier walking out then I did walking in and literally cried when I got in my car. It’s 2020, who wants pencil thin brows?!? This is the worst brow wax I’ve ever gotten. I still paid and tipped well but I am appalled by the job they did. Especially for the price...

Like all EWC, this location is clean and comfortable. The staff was nice and professional. Their products are phenomenal. The only place I do waxing with my sensitive skin. There had only been two other high-end places that Id been where the wax doesnt burn e and leave me scarred for months. EWC is the only affordable place though. Im a loyal customer, especially because they have locations all throughout the US. It makes vacation emergency waxing easy!!

Awesome experience & nice, clean environment.

This place is demeaning to women. We show up and the rude front desk clerk made us schedule an appointment 30 minutes from when we got there, although there were literally no cars in the parking lot nor persons in the lobby/ back. When we received a call after the appointment had passed (we had already decided not to go because it was obvious we were being lied to about the appointment availability), the receptionist was rude again. This organizations business model is based on the psychology of making women feel as if they need their service to be beautiful, which is pretty shill.

Amazing location and great first time guest incentives!

I am beyond disappointed with this location. I was a regular in Orlando and had been going on a schedule. Our goal was growing in my eyebrows, and they were starting to look great! Unfortunately, we moved to Gainesville so I booked my next appointment here and told them everything about growing them in and what we’ve been working for in Orlando with my EWC there. The girl said she understood, and 10 mins later I literally lost about half of my eyebrows again that I worked so hard for. The only reason I went was because I had a wax pass still. I had one more on my pass, which I usually renew every time, so I went again because what was done was done. I told The girl this time that I want to start growing them in again and just to clean them up a little bit but leave spots that need to get thicker. She said she understood. THEY ARE NOW EVEN THINNER! I really am upset about this, and NO, I will not be renewing my wax pass. I’m upset I wasted my last two passes which aren’t cheap, and that they are now probably thinner than when I first started with EWC in Orlando when we decided to begin growing them in even more. I had two different ladies at this Gainesville location and both really messed this up. It’s a horrible location.

I will not be returning! I’d gone because of the reputation of the EWC brand in other places. The first time guest promotion is not “on them” as advertised. I’ve been getting waxed for a while and this was by far the most painful. The strips were not removed all at once,& I had to have certain areas waxed twice that have NEVER been re-waxed no matter how long I waited in between waxes. Some spots were missed,& they don’t tweeze so there wasn’t a smooth finish. The most disappointing part was the $18 I paid to have 5 hairs(total) waxes from my “outer thigh” area. Now I have to go to where I normally go to have this fixed.

Beware high pressure sales! While the waxing is very thorough, the employees are highly aggressive about trying to upsale you or get you to commit to another appointment. I had the person who did my waxing pick up an exfoliating cream off their product wall and recommend it to me, then put it down in front of the receptionist who was ringing me up without asking if I even actually wanted to buy it- and then started setting me up for an appointment in two weeks despite my interjecting that I would schedule when I was ready.Its also worth noting that the comfort of the comfort wax is highly debatable. Most places will put the wax on you, then use a cloth strip to swiftly strip it away, like ripping off a bandaid. The comfort wax is thick, blobby, and they peel it away slowly, prolonging the pain of the waxing. While I will agree that it does its job well, in my opinion the pain and the aggressive sales tactics of the staff isnt worth it.
