I needed a watchband shortened, the wonderful lady on duty not only shortened, but installed it on my watch. Ive dealt with these folks for years, and bought more jewelery than I can remember for my wife there! I will keep going back to Kay Jewelers for the service and the excellence of the staff.

I’ve purchased gifts from here twice in the last 3 months. They were slammed right before Christmas with just two ladies. The same lady with curly hair helped me both times and she even remembered me. Super pleasant and friendly even though I know she had been working hours on end. I’ve always gotten lucky with some sort of sale going on. I never have to wait long and most importantly my loved ones were in awe of the sapphires and pearls I bought from this location. I highly recommend.

Went to pick up my husbands ring today. When they cleaned it a couple diamonds came out. I decided to have my ring inspected and cleaned so our rings were on the same inspection dates. You guessed it, they list some of my diamonds. They need to check their cleaning machine.Also they opened up late due to 1 employee showing up late. No note on the door and didnt answer the phone calls.

We had multiple issues with this store over the last two weeks. We purchased a wedding band from here and they didn’t order it in the same size as the engagement ring. The store manager sold us the band in the wrong size!! We were charged $100 to have it sized due to their error. We were told it was $40 to solder the rings together. When we came back two days later to drop the rings off they charged us over $80. No one ever owns up to their errors at this location. They constantly pushed the ESP on us and gave us 3 different prices so we did not purchase it. We will not be going back to this location. If you want to purchase jewelry I would never recommend this location.

Came up to this store on 07/29/2020 at 6:29PM. My wife had hurried home from work (she drives from 45 minutes away) so we could get to Kays in time before closing to have our rings inspected. The Kays official website clearly states this Army Post store is open until 7:00PM every day of the week with the exception of Sundays (only open until 6:00PM on Sundays).A customer had just walked out of the store as we were walking up to the entrance. My wife and I were just getting to the door when an employee locked the door and waved us off. My wife asked if they were closed and the employee nodded yes. I looked at my watch and it was exactly 6:29PM. If the store closes at 7:00PM which is the advertised time on the official website, Google, and on their Facebook page then why are you closing your store a half an hour early and turning away customers? As we walked back to our vehicle other customers were trying to go in as well and I can only assume they were turned away too.Judging by the amount of negative reviews here on Google and on their Facebook page it would seem that this is a location to steer clear of. I have made a complaint known to Kays Customer Service over the phone as well regarding this situation. Closing 5 minutes early when theres no customers is one thing, closing an entire half hour early against your advertised hours and turning away potentially paying customers isnt acceptable. It wouldve taken only a few minutes to inspect our rings, instead our time was wasted. Ill go to the Merle Hay Mall or Ankeny locations instead where they treat their customers more appropriately.

My wife took her new watch in to have links pulled out so it would fit her wrist. It took 10 minutes to do, the lady charged her $32 plus sales tax for this. Since when do you charge sales tax on labor as well as charging what they did removing the links? I was not with my wife at the time and being as timid as she is, she did not say anything. We have had a lot of our jewelry work done there. WE WILL NEVER GO BACK! We will contact the correct party to confirm if this is a standard operational procedure.

I walked in and waited 20 minutes before someone said we will be right with you and there are three people working and two were with customers the one without a customer even looked at me and said nothing I will be going to another location and never this one again it is absolutely rediclious plus they never seem to locate my account at all...NEVER AGAIN

Just got to pick up my ring we had purchased on February 14th, we just had to resize it for 3 times because this people don’t know how to take a size...picked it up and try it nobody bother to ask us how it is or do you like it nothing.. all she said was “you’re all set... after spending 4 thousand dollars I feel like I did the business with wrong company. While I cannot speak for all Kay Jewelers locations, I can without a doubt say this is the worst retail store I have ever been too. I have been to this location 5+ times over the last 2 years and almost EVERY time there is an issue. There isnt a single employee who ever takes accountability for any issue, add to the fact there seems to be a revolving door of employees so you never talk to the same person twice. Dont even bother calling and attempting to leave a message for anyone, they never seem to be delivered as they promise on the phone. My wife and I have waited almost 3 months now to have my wedding ring replaced, mainly due to the fact they allowed it to just sit in a vault for a month and never thought to call or follow up with us. They seem more interested with blaming the customer than actually trying to provide anything resembling good customer service. I will never ever give Kays another dollar of mine.

Very dissatisfied. Not one person in store worked there very long, so noone seemed to have ability to fix our issues...Our product looks horrible. We will NEVER return to Kays Jewelers after my wife sat on phone for 49 minutes and still no solution. Seems this company needs better training and better product

The worst experience EVER!!!! I will NEVER buy anything from here again! We have been waiting on a repair/replacement set of earrings for over 4 months! That is ridiculous! On about the fourth visit to the store to check on the status of our order we finally got an I’m sorry. We have been lied to every time we have been in this store. We’ve heard everything from they will be in later in the week to we can’t give you a refund even though it’s been taking so long. It’s terrible customer service in my opinion and I’m not sure how they can stay in business treating customers the way they do!

Last year I spent quite a bit of money on an engagement ring for my now wife. After she said yes, I thought that I would go ahead and purchase my own wedding band. I purchased it from the same Southridge Mall Kay Jeweler store in which I had had such a great experience purchasing my wife’s bands. The jeweler sized my finger and ordered a band that she said would fit. When I got the ring back 3 weeks later I slid it on my finger and it seemed to be fine. So I put it in its box and waited a year to wear it after I was officially married. I have been wearing the ring for 3 weeks now and when I wash my hands, it wants to fall off. In fact I’m concerned that it could fall off even if I were to wave at someone. So, I went back to Kay Jewelers at Southridge Mall to see if they would simply exchange it for a slightly smaller size. (they do not resize men’s rings, you have to order a completely new one) The new store manager said that this was not possible as I was over the 90 day exchange policy. First off, I was never informed of any such policy and second off, they did the sizing so I see it as their mistake.Keep in mind, this is not a pair of shoes we’re talking about, this is the ring that will be on my finger for the rest of my life, it should fit and I shouldn’t have to worry about it falling off. The fact that this is the most important piece of jewelry I will ever purchase did not matter to their manager. My $300 wedding ring is pennies to Kay jewelers but means everything to me, I just want one that fits.Apparently Kay’s is under new management and has all new employees. Although the previous employees sized my ring too big, at least they had good customer service and did everything to make me a repeat customer. Now that there is new management, I have never felt like such an unimportant customer. I have spent the equivalent of a car in that store on my wife but they won’t exchange my $300 wedding ring so that I can wear one that fits. At least the old management made me feel important. I will never make another purchase there again!

Horrible service. Returned a layaway for 160 and I have to wait for a a check over this amount. Not to mention I used my debit card to pay but they cant put it back on my card. Ridiculous. I will never return here again!
