I bought a new Equinox from Rusty Wallace in Jan 2020. I specifically asked the salesman about the quality of the tires. He indicated they were Michelin all weather tires with a great warranty.. I kept my maintenance schedule and rotated the tires as expected. I was in Atlanta on a business trip and had a flat tire. The tire dealer asked me if I knew the front tires were slick. I said that is impossible. I only have 16 thousand miles on them. The attendant said yeah. I know what you were told. Ive been in this business for decades. The tires on your car are not Michelin. They look like them but they are not. I didnt want to risk my familys safety so I had them replaced. I am very upset that a car I paid more than 30 grand for was delivered to me with cheap tires. I have contacted your dealership multiple times and also contacted Chevrolet directly. So far, theres been very little concern about my issue. Is this really how you treat customers who trust you to deliver a quality product for their hard earned money?

My wife and I were traveling home back to Michigan and stopped in Clinton Tn. Our car became disabled when we tried to leave the next morning. I called Rusty Wallace Chevrolet and spoke with the service rep Jeff Bailes. I told him our situation and he accomadated us to get a quick diagnoses so we would know what our next step would be. He told us the problem and that they had all the parts in stock. About four hours later we were back on the road and got home with no problem. I am really serious when I say I have never experienced service like this in any business that I have gone to. The attitudes and genuinely caring for the customer were beyond anything I was expecting. Thank You Jeff and your team that helped us get back home safe.

This was the best car buying experience I have ever had. The whole team was incredible. Awesome. Thats how I would describe my visit. It was just a couple of hours and the salesman had helped me get the vehicle I wanted. I was hesitant at first due to no money down and my credit score. But the team at Rusty Wallace took great care to get me what I wanted. I really want to thank Chris Ivey for his help. He was great from start to finish. I would recommend everyone give these people a chance to help you into a new vehicle. I tried two other places and they both were very disappointing. One tried to get me to pay $700 a month for a vehicle I didnt even want. The crew at Rusty Wallace got me out the door paying $447 with insurance added in. These guys are great. I always get my service done here. They are always very helpful and answer any questions I may have. They get the work done quickly and correctly the first time and they never try to swindle you into getting work you don’t need. They are reasonably priced and they stand behind the work they do and the products they sell. Brice in the service center is so nice and she goes above and beyond to make sure everything is taken care of! I would recommend Rusty Wallace Chevrolet for any work you need done on your cars!

The people at this dealership were wonderful to deal with from start to finish. Our salesman, Trevor, was truly the best we’ve ever had over our 3 decades of auto-buying. Fast, smooth process overall. Didn’t want to go there to dicker over price, so we made the mistake of allowing an underestimation of our trade-in, but that was on us fully. The absolute pleasure of dealing with Trevor and the finance officer was worth it! Excellent people! Excellent service! By the way, we bought a 2018 Equinox and couldn’t be happier with it. We’ll definitely be back for our next vehicle.

The sales men and managers were nice. Sales men didnt really know the correct answers and gave false info. Would have rather heard an I dont know versus a lie or false info. Brought it back to get detailed and some things taken care of and the detail department was horrible. Had to send it back 4 times and still didnt clean it right. The GM is taking care of it but its a bit ridiculous. Hardly any incentive for a repeat customer. We bought our last truck 3.5 years ago and they did much better on the negotiating and add ons then.

My son went on vacation to Pigeon Forge and his car broke down. His car was towed to the dealership for what we hoped was going to be a quick and easy fix. As usual it was way worse than we thought. Jeff in the service department went what I believe was out of his way to deal with the extended warranty company and kept us informed on what was going on. Being that we are from Ohio and not close it was nice that someone was talking care of everything on his end and letting us know the progress.

I am extremely dissatisfied with the process of purchasing my vehicle. The salesman was great and the sale manager took care of us in regards to negotiating a price. However, I am a Knox county resident and this is the first time I purchased my car close to my county. Usually I would get my car out of state and they take care of all my taxes. We stated we are from Knox county and we wanted an out the door price which covers all the taxes. A few weeks after my purchase, I get a license plate with Anderson county on it. I ask the manager and he said we can just get the sticker to cover it at the clerk office. However when I called the county clerk, they said it was because my purchase did not cover the wheel tax. Completely disappointed. They always advertise about being upfront and honest..... I know the wheel tax isn’t that much, but I didn’t know I had to specifically say I wanted a Knox county tag in my out the door final purchase price. Will definitely stick to out of state purchase in the future. Just be ware new buys that are not from Anderson county... to request the county tax that you reside in. Hope it helps!

8/2/21 I was on the search for a White 2500hd LT trim package. I live in Pensacola. Fl (500 miles away). I came across Rusty Wallace Chevrolet, and spoke with Clay Foust. Clay was cordial, sincere and professional. I placed a deposit on the truck and flew up to Knoxville 3 days later. I was introduced to the GM Shannon and was equally impressed. Their staff went above and beyond to get me on the road in my new truck quickly to make the 500 mile drive home. They were grateful for my business and very appreciative. Anthony in the Collison department was excellent. The service manager is very unprofessional calling me BRO instead of sir or Mr Irwin. When I called in I ask for service and made an appointment to have the repair made two weeks in advance. The When I took the car in for my appointment the part had not been ordered to do my repair. This is the reason I did not give you a higher score and Anthony is the reason it is as high as it is. I would give the service manager a zero for customer service and professionalism. I do not appreciate being called BRO by a stranger.

My salesman Clay and his manager Rob were both incredible. Not only were they great guys but they took care of me and my wife and made the whole vehicle buying process so easy. I had been burned by other dealerships in the past so I was fully expecting them to try to sell me extra packages and things I didn’t need. That’s the furthest from what happened. They listen and sell you exactly what you want. They truly care and want to earn customers for life! They gave me great value for my trade as well. I can’t say enough good things about this dealership. I will never buy a vehicle anywhere else. I waited 2.5 hours for an oil change, tire rotation and alignment. You didnt really seem busy so this seemed excessive. Since I had an appoinment, I would have considered this time excessive even if you were busy. None of these tasks require factory training specific to GM vehicles so Im wondering if I will be back for the next round of maintenance.

This place I wouldnt recommend to anyone and here is why, about a year ago I had bought a car from another company, It was a simple impulse buy, nothing special something special, I came to Rusty Wallace to see about buying a car. I was met with a nice sales person, and several of the salesmen where nice and kind, I then found a car, that would cost me more and eat the negative equity in my current car, because I know how these things work, so I was being legit, I thought it was a good buy for a good price and would be a great buy. none the less I sat for about 10 minutes and the account guy comes out and says that the car was not a good fit financially and that it wouldnt work for me..my thoughts where ok so you trying to get me to buy something in your inventory and something that I dont want. SO they offered a car from the sales floor, it was newer then the car I wanted but it wasnt what I wanted. I test drove the car with one of the tires that was low, so the test drive wasnt accurate and on top of that he comes back in there and ask if I have anything down. I replied no. Do mind you they have ran my credit more than 5 times now and was running it even after I left. still no trade or new car. but he asked if I had 5000.00 to put towards the car, of course I said no then he asked if I had 2000.00 to put towards the car or 1000.00 I said no. I told you in the beginning I had nothing to put down. He then replied well we are sorry theres nothing we can do. so here in lies the problem, you ran my credit several times and couldnt help at all but knowing that you couldnt help you continued to try and lead me on and tried to tell me there is nothing that can be done.after the fact. I would not go to another place like this because they are not aiming to help you they just look at how much they make from you or judge you or make you feel like you are worthless.

Rusty Wallace Chevrolet, Clinton TN, I have a lot to say about these guys. The owner and Rusty Wallace sets the bar really high for their staff, from the GM, sales and the internet guys so they really try hard to meet that challenge. My opinion, given the chance and a reasonable opportunity, they will deliver every time. Check this out, I purchased a 2016 Silverado back in December 2019, used but very nice. About 16 months later, 59,678 miles, the number 6 cylinder misfire happened. This is a known issue by GM that sometimes happens to the vehicles that have the AFM system and it can be very expensive to fix. They worked with the manufacture to get my very expensive work done under the factory drivetrain warranty. You might say, well they should have as it was still under the 60,000 miles that GM allows but what you don’t know is the time was up back in March. Since I had been a loyal customer for many years and had previously brought up the fact that there was a noise in the engine, but nothing had broke, they went with that to argue on my behalf. I would challenge anyone to find a dealer that would do that for a regular customer anywhere in the country. They replace thousands of dollars in parts and days of labor and a very minimal cost to me and loaned me a car to drive during the whole outage. I can tell you one thing, I’ve been looking for a company that truly puts their customers first and I have found one. There will be no need for me to ever go anywhere else since they are local and care very much about customer service. Special thanks to Blake, Joe, Ron, Charlie and Tyrell for a superb job in customer service. What a team and what a place to find a new or used car without any hassle and fully supported after the sale. Where customer satisfactory is priority one for these guys and it shows.

I took my k1500 pickup to get an alignment and they told me they would not be able to do the alignment because the upper control arm camber knockouts were still in the truck and would need to be removed. They told me it would be $390 to remove the knockouts. I have had alignments on the truck before and thought that maybe people had charged me for an alignment without actually doing the alignment but I took the truck home and went to remove the knockouts myself but the knockouts had already been removed and they were trying to charge me for removing something that had already been removed from previous alignments. I would never trust this dealership to service my vehicles again.

The most horrible dealership that I have been too...The employees in the service Department was rude and disrespectful! I scheduled an appt and was told to expect to be there for an hour, which ended up being 5 hrs! The technician told me he didnt get paid to drive the vehicles for Diagnosis, even though it was there for drivetrain issues! After 4 hours of them telling me nothing was wrong with my truck, they finally decided to drive it! 5 hours and $220 later..,..I was charged for a cabin air filter and was told it was DANGEROUS to have 2 sets of floor mats in my truck!! And my truck left with the same problem and nothing fixed! Did I mention 2 other customers were there at the same time with complaints of bad business! Highly recommend making sure Techs are ASE certified and want to do their job!

I bought the new vehicle because I was moving from Ohio to Tennessee. Instead of buying from my Ohio dealer I thought I would buy at a local dealer in Tennessee. My radio and GPS screen went out and I called the Rusty Dealer as for what to do. Said bring it in. I was moving and 350 miles away. I called Rodney Cobb Chevy dealer and the service tech told me how to temporarily fix it. Turn the key off and leave the drivers door open for 5 minutes to reset the computer. It worked. I brought the truck in to Rustys for its first service and they did something to fix the screen. When we went to leave the radio and screen was dead. The service tech didnt even check his work before giving me the vehicle. I now go back on this Monday to check the vehicle again. In the mean time I did what my old dealer in Ohio said to do for a quick fix. Turned off the vehicle, opened the drivers door for 5 minutes and the next time I started the vehicle the radio and screen turned on. One thing I liked about Rodney Cobb Chevy in Eaton Ohio is they washed my vehicle after each service and once a month if I bought a new car. I have also backed into my new tailgate since my back up camera doesnt work.

Just bought a used truck from Brian at Rusty Wallace. I’m from out of state in Idaho and Brian did a stellar job of showing me the vehicle in detail any little dings etc... then kept me up to date on the paperwork, overnight mailed it for signatures with a return overnight envelope to ship back. Bought my car - 2009 Honda Fit - in about an hour.....which is fantastic⏰ Purchasing a car can many times be a painful and LONG process and this purchase was most definitely not, so thank you.Covid Safety - most of dealership masked up when with clients - inside and outside. The only time I was approached by someone without his mask on properly, I asked him politely to fix the issue and he did so graciously. Only complaint would be the receptionist was not wearing a mask and I made it a point to keep my distance from her.Great experience buying a used car😊
