Had my first bad experience here. Ive been going here on and off for the past few years and never had a problem, the owner always seemed really nice and courteous. The problem was his worker, I found him rude and condescending. He made me feel like I was bothering him when I asked to look at some coins that were in the case right where he was standing. Ive been going here mainly because it is the coin shop closest to my house, but after my last experience I will start looking else where, which is a shame because I really did like Rusty, the owner.

The owner of West Road coins is an absolute sweetheart. Hes not like most places, especially when to sell gold. He doesnt just throw fake numbers that you. He gives you exactly what its worth along with everything else in the store. Not only is he an absolute sweetheart but hes a great teacher as well. He likes to be very informative and every time I go there I learn something from him. I wish I could give him a hundred stars but I guess 5 will have to do

When looking at a 21 inch 14k gold chain marked at 10.2 grams I asked, How do I know that this weighs 10.2 grams?. He answered, How do you know that I didnt put a 14k clasp on the chain? I said that I generally trusted people, and I didnt buy it. Ultimately, I bought the same gage chain at 22 inches marked at 8.2 grams for less from a jeweler that I have a relationship with. Im pretty sure that they exaggerate weight of used jewelry to take advantage of people who dont know. I have never bought coins from them or reseached their pricing so I cant comment on that.
