The independent diner is iconic, and Broad Street fits the bill. Its the atmosphere. You go in and you become part of the history of independent business. Youre supporting the hard working waitress or fry cook. Sure, the food isnt going to beat Bobbie Flay on his worst night but if you want to know how it was in the 80s and 90s & beyond, give them your business. And it sits in the midst of Hamilton and Trenton. Its rum by hard working people for hard working people. True diner food, and plenty of it.
Drove 35 mins because I heard their F.O. soup was the best anywhere aroundand I have to say that I was definately not disappointed whats so ever..So shout out to the chef because the soup was on point👌. And a shout out to my server Toni, everything was served perfectly! Nice & hot and with a smile. Well done Broad Street Diner 👍👏🤗

Fast Service. Super friendly environment. We got our food withing almost 3 minutes of ordering and the food was amazing! Who would have thought that coffee ice cream topped with whipped cream and cinnamon could be so delicious!

Food was decent got wiwantedfes order wrong I was 1/2 done when her correct dish came. Service wasnt great ..asked for water she walked by twice and said oh you wanted water. When she served the desert I asked for a napkin...I never got. Since they were only seating at 50% you could say it was that busy
Coffee tastes like water, not enough handing capp spots available. Waitresx never came back to ask us if we needed anything. Probably wont go back. Americana got it going on

I had broiled stuffed shrimp with beets and mashed potatoes. Came with salad and soup. Three big shrimp. Everything was very good. Service was good. Friendly people.

Great spot for a quick casual bite to eat. My usual order is the French onion soup and a patty melt. The soup is your typical French onion, but always tasty and satisfying. The patty melt is my favorite. Absolutely delicious with a side of crispy fries that will definitely hit the spot and leave you very satiated.

Wonderful food and service!I ordered a chef salad. I ate some at lunch and was able to take the rest home with me home with me. I was able to make a sandwich with the leftover lunch meat that was in my salad then I use the rest of the salad to have with my pasta for dinner.

Still delicious food an good price
Ordered a rueben..started eating it. 5 fork fulls, just cheese and sauerkraut. No meat. I lift up the cheese, like 2 slices of meat.I put the fork down and showed the waitress. She was not very helpful, said what do you want me to do.I paid for the sauerkraut and cheese sandwich WHICH I DID NOT EAT and left.Horrible service, horrible food. They have really cut corners. Never going back. I wouldnt if I were you unless you want an establishment that does not care if the guy in the back forgot to put enough meat on your sandwich!! Really bad attitude when I said I would leave a bad review after they gave me the check and didnt try to remedy it.

I am heart broken to say this about this place, because this is one of the best place I have eaten all the time when I lived in NJ. But I was disappointed when I visited few days ago and ordered shrimp alfredo, it was the worst shrimp alfredo I have ever tasted in my life.
I have not been there in four years you’re food is still terrific I use to be here every Friday and Sunday for dinner My husband Al had a missing rift leg he died 19 years ago this August 8 th behind the wheel of our ford van it was in the newspaper and it told how I survived the ride he had a heart attack behind the wheel. The police stayed with me and visited me several times after his funeral they wanted to know how I did not flip the van

The food was promptly served hot. Theres no wait time. The staff work hard to get everyone in and out. Even during a pandemic, the courtesy has not dropped from the staff. This makes for a great eating experience every time. Worth sitting outside for this kind of service.

Breakfast was very enjoyable this morning. Broad Street Diner has a nice set up with outside seating under a large tent. Cleaning of seating areas was found to be as per CDC recommendations. The food was excellent and was serviced hot to your table. Customers did abide by all rules and did move fast after eating to allow others to enjoy breakfast too. We enjoyed porkroll and cheese sandwich, western omelet and pancakes with sausage. Coffee was out of this world. The outside dining experience was great! Keep up the great work everyone!

My family and I have always visited this diner and it deserves to be one of the best known diners in the US, its no wonder the restaurant can get crowded sometimes. The food they cook is so savory, satisfying, the seafood is to die for, and the staff are friendly and hospitable, theyve even saved us all during the blackout of the summer 2019 tornado storm watch, they deserve at least a $10 tip. Make to sure to visit this attractive establishment when youre hungry and low on food!

Got takeout breakfast. Food was all cold (we live about 4 minutes away). Forgot our breakfast meat sides and toast. The home fries were blah. Should of got ihop I don’t get all the hype about this diner.

Best place to get good and delicious food
They consistently forget items and add charges. Last week it was the desserts. This week they forgot to put one of the sides in the dinner special, and they forgot the dressings for the salads. For takeaway customers this is a disaster. Probably will take a break and see if service improves in 2021.

I previously visited this community restaurant and I enjoyed a wonderful breakfast, alone. I returned a few days later with my family, (husband and daughter) for dinner. We all ordered full dinners. Upon arrival of the food, we were ALL very dissatisfied with the taste of the dinners. The manger came to address the waitress concern. We explained our dissatisfaction. The manager was unfriendly, and not concerned about how we were feeling. He became disrespectful, and we were embarrassed by his remarks. The manager than stated he had no prior complaints about any food prepared at his restaurant. The manager charged us for all the dinners, (we only ate a small salad and some soup). The conversation escalated and the manager became unprofessional and disrespectful. The manager stated he was going to call the Police!!! We waited quietly for the Police to arrive!. The Police appeared perplexed as to how to handle the matter. We went back and forth with the Police, (in front of our daughter), and finally came to an unhappy agreement. The manager remained rude and told us never to return to his restaurant!!! I have never been so humiliated while socially dining out!
Great turkey burgers, awesome fries, onion rings are real and not minced. Veggie burger was huge. Friendly service, spaced out dining with heaters if needed.
They give you lots of food. We had to take some home. Id definately go back soon!
