If I could give 0 stars I would. They will not sell or order you a car unless you are local, right now. They blame covid, but I can get allocations in different states right now, so this is a company policy. And local means live in San Antonio..Austin, Houston or Dallas resident, forget it. Weird.

Can not get any information for them pertaining to tags and titles for a car we purchased from their Corpus Christi BMW location. After checking reviews realized this is actually their normal practice. Working on finding a legal action in hopes they will make good.

We have been to this Volvo dealer twice. This time, my car was towed there after an accident. We were told the estimate would be free by Kevin, since there were no diagnostics being done and it was an insurance claim. Come to find out they don’t even do body work. So what was the estimate for if we didn’t want diagnostics? We ended up getting an invoice for the estimate anyway. Keep in mind my vehicle was wrecked. Why did the service guy ask if I wanted my routine maintenance done while they had my car? It was wrecked!! Why would I choose to have maintenance done while it was inoperable?! The first time I took my Volvo there for routine maintenance it took over 5 hours. That was with an appointment. Worst place ever! They are only out for money.

I have purchased two cars from this dealership in the last year. I have always had a wonderful experience. I got both cars below KBB value and felt as though the sales manager and finance manager genuinely care about their customers. In both cases we had shopped around at other dealerships only to find that the customer service and overall buying experience was lacking at those lots. I have recommended Principle Volvo anyone looking to purchase a vehicle. I have never had a better experience. I left each time feeling good about the purchases I made because I knew I received quality vehicles at the best possible prices.

In approximately March of 2020, prior to COVID-19 exploding, I was in San Antonio on business. Knowing that I liked the body style of the 2020 BMW, I visited Principle Auto’s BMW of San Antonio, Texas. While on site, I walked the entire show you room floor and lot, looking at all of the vehicles and waiting for someone to make contact with me. On the day of my visit, there were fewer customers than sales staff. Typically when one walks onto an auto dealership lot, a salesman or two will attempt to speak and gain that person’s business. On the date of that visit, I decided to leave BMW because after approximately one hour (likely longer), not one person spoke to me. I was not dressed down (as if that should matter).Fast forward to a little over one year later. I am again car shopping for a 2020 BMW, locating one that I liked at the same BMW dealership. I looked in Houston, Corpus Christi, Austin, only to find the ONE in San Antonio. Although my first attempt was a pretty poor experience, I decided on 06/25/2021, I was ready to try again. This time I began the conversation with the dealership via the website. I quickly received communications from a salesman, Tanner, who did a good job. After spending three days hammering out a deal with Tanner, I traveled the two hours to San Antonio in the morning hours of 06/28/2021. This lead me to the finance guy, Chris, who did a very poor job. Chris acted as though he was not interested in my money, likely due to it coming from a bank (a reputable bank similar to Navy Federal Credit Union) other than BMW and/or I was not willing to buy the “EXTRAS”. It must be noted, I was willing to pay the number we agreed on. During this attempted purchase, Chris was not honest and when I say he was not honest, I really mean that he lied to me. What did he lie about you may ask, try a simple thing like there is not notary public at the dealership... his boss is a notary and sits across the office from Chris, no worries, he notarized the POA which they NEVER sent to the bank. After 8 hours at this dealership and Chris receiving the banks word coupled with my contract with the dealership, that the bank would finance the car, I went home without the car.To add, I spent the days prior to my second visit hammering out the fine details with the bank. I knew that when I got to the dealership, all that was needed was a few pieces of paper created by the finance guy, sent to my bank and they would process the already approved loan, making it really easy for the finance guy. How do I know it was that easy? because I have done it multiple times at other lots, the very same way. Less stress on me, less stress on the bank and less stress on the dealership. Sounds perfect? I ask again, will the business make it right? Will I be able to spend my money at your business? Tanner has my number

Went to buy a used car from the Volvo dealership and was promised to fix the seat. 2weeks of running around and no seat fixed. Didnt want to pay for the parts. Then offered me a $150 to take down all negative reviews of their company. And that I would need to recommend them to others. Lack of communication and non honest. Wouldnt recommend. If I could give them minus stars I would.

Great experience overall. I got set up with Billy via a 3rd party used car site that linked me to a minivan I was interested in, and Billy contacted me promptly and courteously - the dealer site didnt have photos of the car up yet, so he took the time to photograph the car inside and out and send me the photos directly. When we arrived to look at the car in person, it was ready and clean; I was especially impressed by the fact that despite being a Volvo salesman, Billy had gone above and beyond and clearly done his research on the used Honda he was selling. During the negotiations he was upfront and honest, and despite a small set back when we discussed trade-in value, I was done in a fairly quick amount of time. Marissa in finance was also very knowledgeable and professional. Second used car Ive bought here, and would happily come back again.

I was given the run-around on a vehicle after they apparently gave me the incorrect (lower) price and then told me they just happened to have sold it after realizing it just so they didnt have to honor the price, but here we are over a week later and the vehicle is still on their website, but at a higher price. I even have buyers orders signed by the manager at the lower price.

Many thanks to Billy and Blake for making my car purchase so effortless. After shopping for a used Volvo XC60 in Austin, I found the one I wanted online at Principle in San Antonio. I spoke with Billy and he sent me pictures. When I asked him to smell the car and make sure it was OK, he did! I then texted pictures of my car to trade in, we agreed on a price (Thank you, Blake!) and Billy drove the car to my house, where we did all the paperwork and changed cars. It was the most pleasant car buying experience Ive ever had and I love this car so much! Thank you Billy!

Do not EVER work here! I was very excited to work at this company but I failed to realize they have a high turnover rate. I unfortunately had to experience and view why the turnover rate is so high. The CEO and management do not care about their employees. While I was here I viewed how money is more important than pretty much everything. People were so afraid to speak up for themselves and were talked down to. Also, why on earth did it take so long to open up a dealership?? Once it finally opened there were STILL major things needing to be done. I can only hope that one day the CEO and the rest of management realize how many problems there are in within the company. Take care of your employees, show them respect, and I am sure you will see a huge change in how everything is running.

Do not work here. There are some great employees but leadership is heavy on the micro-managing. The CEO prefers to give orders and be surrounded by yes men versus respecting, trusting and building people up. People are afraid to speak up in fear of their jobs. HR is the CEOs puppet, she does not look out for or help the employees. The CFO runs his own accounting firm out of the office and has no idea how to be the CFO of an automotive company. The CEO and CFO are married and have many companies that are associated with Principle Auto, so they are making lots of side money off the company, making the dealerships not show the growth and profit they should be. Its shady. I have never seen people treated so badly as I have here. Good people are taken advantage of at the price of their families and work/life balance. Again, afraid to speak up in fear of their job. You cannot be successful here, especially in the Executive Admin role. They say they govern by their guiding principles but those are a joke. They look good on paper but everyone will tell you they dont walk the walk. They are what made me want to work there and I quickly found out the truth.

Sales rep: Ramon is great. Principle Auto SA has the worst finance department. My finance rep has yet to put in for a cancelation of a tire package. Its been 5 months and the cancelation still does not show on my account. Not to mention, Ive left messages and the manager has yet to call me back. Now the VM is full. Additionally, my sales rep put in for a reimbursement because I was sold a car with screws in the tires. And have never received the reimbursement. Sadly, I will not buy another BMW - nor will I buy from Principle Auto ever again.

As this is not my first car purchase from this dealership I have to say that I am not pleased with my most recent purchase. I purchased a CPO vehicle in August 10th and it is already in service. Weeks after purchasing the vehicle the brakes were squeaking and grinding I reached out to my sales person, he mentioned it could be the weather because of the rain...I waited a few more weeks, the issue still persist without weeks of no rain. My vehicle has been sitting in service for a full week now. I have called twice and there is still no answer as to what is going on with my vehicle or If they have even looked at it yet.I was also told by the service drive when I dropped it off that CPO does that cover brakes and tires which I completely understand. What I do not agree with is purchasing a vehicle whether it is brand new or CPO and having to replace brakes right after the purchase especially when it is more of a safety concern.Had I known this was going to be the case I would not have purchased a vehicle with principle auto knowing that I would have to spend money to get the car where it should be right after purchase. My 5 series that I purchased prior to this one had brakes that were actually up to spec to where I didn’t need to replace right after purchase.I called my sales guy yesterday and earlier in the week but still have not gotten a response... I also called the used sales manager left a voicemail last Friday (1 week ago) no callback...I am in sales myself and feel that this is a very poor experience. My father along with others that I have recommended to your dealership have made purchases for the most part have been happy, maybe this is just a one off and I am looking for a resolution to make sure that my brakes are replaced considering the car had paper plates and the brakes were already showing signs that it needed to be replaced.I would understand if this was six months or a year down the road, but to buy a vehicle especially from Principal BMW dealership and have the brakes grinding and squeaking while driving around SA with my boss in it before I even put my plates on is very unreasonable and embarrassing, this is jeopardizing the brand and the reputation of the dealership. Several people have said to me “ you just bought this car and it needs brakes?!” I would love to continue my business with principal and continue to recommend principal auto to my friends and family... hopefully I can get a resolution to something so simple and feel safe driving my recently purchased CPO vehicle.Look Forward to hearing back and seeing what principle can do for me. Again I have made purchases in the past with this dealership along with friends, co workers and family and wish to continue to purchase and refer to this dealership in the future.Respectfully,Mr. Espinoza

After 5 months of no one at the dealship available to assist me or to bother returning my calls, they failed to honor their warranty unless I towed my car to them and had their mechanics verify the failure (Apparently they are the only people with qualifications to put on a water pump lol) all at my expense, I had already had the pump replaced at my expense. Ill NEVER buy another part or car from them! They had no problem selling me 3 BMWs.This dealship is run by Princple Auto, they have no Principles. Do yourself a favor, buy a Benz!

Leased an x5 directly from Principle and experience was the worst, dropped the car off over a month early, all they wanted to do is extort me if I did not lease another vehicle, car had 20% less mileage and they were making up things to charge me. They are criminals in the business. Don’t let the new oversizen showroom fool you. Someone has to pay for this over indulgence and it will be you if you lease or buy a car from them.

This is possibly the worse place to work for here in San Antonio. First of all they are advertising #greatplacetowork when clearly it is not. There’s been multiple times employees not getting payed on time or the managers. She doesn’t match 401k’s and this whole organization is garbage. They don’t care about employees and they only care about the money employees are producing. Benefits are terrible and you do not have an opinion or say with anything here. Please do not work here! There’s plenty of car groups in San Antonio that support and help employees and treat them with respect. This place is not a great place to retire and you won’t succeed here. #notagreatplacetowork fits more with the company hashtag.
