I have been going to Autograff for years after a referral from a good friend. Milton and his team did right by me from day one and have continued to do so for me, my family and friends. You can view the shop right from the desk in lobby, where they even have complimentary drinks and candy... It reminds me of a shop my grandpa would have taken me to back in the day. They have often given me and mine advice to save money on repairs, but also have helped me keep my 2008 Lexus hybrid that now has 230k miles running strong.

Fantastic shop! They are nice, honest and explained everything in detail. I had some pretty big repairs (intake manifold, valve cover, turbo & intercooler hoses) as well as some maintenance - tires and brakes, and they took care of it all. They dont want to do more work than they have to, so they are honest and upfront.When I was heart broken because a small dearly beloved truck I owned cost significantly more to repair than to keep, I felt like they were empathetic sharing their own stories of beloved cars of similar situations. Really excellent service, I was called multiple times a day with updates. The staff and Milton are very friendly and when explaining the issues with my car were not condescending at all (something I have experienced with mechanics before). My car needed an intake air fix and serpentine belt tensioner repair and I cant believe how much better it drives now. They were able to do on the spot registration and were very transparent about pricing, it did not cost one penny more than the original quote. Overall a really great experience, I highly recommend Autograff and will continue taking my car there.

Ive been going to Autograff for several years and have unfortunately had many different issues with my Mini Cooper. Every time something major goes wrong, I take it here, and they take great care of me and my car. Last year, I had an issue with my car that was too expensive for me to fix at the time, and they helped me find a much cheaper work-around that I know wasnt the most convenient for them. They were communicative with me and happy to help the whole time. Great, professional mechanic!

Super honest shop!!!!! Took my car in for a check engine light and slow coolant leak. They discovered the light was simply because of a gas cap so they waived the $50 diagnostic fee. They then gave me a bid for $380 for the cap and coolant leak. The day I was coming to pick up the car they informed me that the cost of repairs had been lowered to $205!!! They easily could have charged me the original bid and I wouldnt have known that the cost of repairs had changed! Theyve earned my future business!

I trust this mechanic more than any other shop in town. They might be a pinch higher in price than your discount mechanics, but the work they do makes it worth every penny. I have never had to return my car for a repeat fix, and I have always left the shop feeling confident that my car is like new. The best part is that they will never upsell you on anything you dont need right away. I have been to so many shops to get a simple oil change, and then when I try to pay, they give me a huge speech about needing new hoses, new bearings, new fluids, etc. The team at Autograff only lets you know what you need when it is crucial, and never a moment sooner. They are smart and professional, and they KNOW cars. Its always a pleasure to visit them.

Milton and the folks at Autograff are EXCELLENT. They explain everything in a manner you can understand and seem really knowledgeable. We have been here three times now, and one of them turned out to be for a service we really didnt need (and didnt need to pay for) and Milton explained all the ins and outs to me and why it might be a decent option to hold off on the service and sent me on my way without charging me a dime. I am so glad to have found a mechanic in Salt Lake that is trustworthy, knowledgeable and reasonable.

Autograff is awesome! We have taken our cars here for years. My parents and siblings take their cars here as well. Milt is very honest. He earned our trust a long time ago. Its so nice to feel I can trust my mechanic. He worked on my sisters car and couldnt get it to recreate the problem, and wouldnt charge her for all the hours he put into it. Same experience here. I recently took our van in to see if it was worth fixing. He checked the entire vehicle over and gave us an estimate and let us know what we would be looking at short term to get it re-licensed, as well as down the road costs over the next year. We decided not to fix it. Milt didnt charge us anything. Ill second what the other reviewer said about feeling respected even if youre a woman and even if you dont know anything about cars. I would feel comfortable sending anyone to Autograff. Theyre the best.

Great service, very fast and helpful. I called yesterday to make sure they would have time to do an oil change. I live to call first which is not always necessary, but of course you risk some waiting time then. So an hour later I arrived, it took 30min and I could leave again. I go here because it is one of the only shops that I have found that is honest, timely, always does a great job, and doesn’t try to swindle me or talk down to me because I am a female. They aren’t cheap, but even though I don’t make much in the monetary world, it is always worth my peace of mind to take my vehicle here. At first I thought what great people but after going 4 times for the same ac issue I started to get fishy about them they replaced my compressor that did not need to be changed after they put a new one that I bought they said my compressor again was no good plus my condenser I went to a different shop they diagnosed my car told me my original compressor was still good put my old one back one haven’t had any issues I even tipped Milton and the first tech thinking they did a great job... towards the end of our business Milton wouldn’t really speak to me and roll his eyes if he saw me pull up like I said I went back 4 times for the same issue he might have great recommendations but I had a horrible experience

Ive been bringing my POS (but awesome) 95 van here for five years and I cant imagine its very fun to work on. Milton and his team take care of me every time with efficient, professional, and transparent work. The prices are competitive and if there is any problem with a part failing or my van having an issue they cant figure out they are honest and have reimbursed me or fixed the issue in a timely and reasonable manner. I have been to mechanics all over this state and can firmly say this is the best one.

Autograff fixed multiple problems in a day, gave recommendations on what needs to be done soon, and everyone I talked to was also nice. Sarah explained the problems thoroughly and answered my questions without intimidating or confusing me, and provided an estimate which was lower than another auto shop where I wasnt treated so nicely. They can be busy, so I recommend calling to make an appointment first. We showed up without an appointment but they were booked so Terry (was it?) scheduled us for the very next day. The service here is exceptional. Ive been looking for a great mechanic since my old one moved, and found where Ill be going from now on.They got a lot of work done in just a few days. The price came in lower than what I expected it to be. Milton and his team went above and beyond and didnt charge for a part of the alignment that wasnt necessary (I would have never known), even fixed my broken ignition key, and told me I could meet up at the shop on Saturday to pick up the truck when it was done.Needless to say theyre my #1 go to mechanic shop now.

Ive been going to Autograff for many years from a referral of a friend. They have always taken great care of me. Recently I had a front wheel bearing go out on my car the day before I was to be leaving town. They got me in at the last second and took care of me. Subsequently, the Anti-lock breaking system started engaging at low speed on dry pavement. I called Autograff a couple months later as it became progressively worse. They took exceptional care of me in that they didnt charge for an adjustment to the ABS when the local Toyota dealership was going to charge me $290!! They did this just in case their bearing work affected the adjustment. Thanks Milton and Autograff Motor Works!!

Im from Florida and needed an oil change. I was planning on just hitting a quick service centerI looked on Yelp and was floored by the positive reviews of this place. They did not try to upcharge and dealt with me openly and honestly.I got a chance to review and watch the eemployees in action. They all appeared content and worked as a TEAM. The boss taught them as he observed. The shop was air conditioned. Im sure the people who work there appreciate it. The boss treated employees as if they were students and took every opportunity to expand their knowledge.I wish this operation was in Fort Walton Beach FL. Overall I would rate this place TOPS.

I went to get my oil changed and they said there was a crazy leak. I had just gotten my car fixed here not too long ago. I called and spoke to the boss, he was excruciatingly nice about my inconvenience. Doing his best to sound upbeat and cheerful. Why.

Can I rate this place 7 stars? If your looking for a mechanic look no further. I had an experience with this auto shop and I will never go anywhere else in salt lake because of it. The story for your reading pleasure:I took my car in to fix an oil leak. They told me where the oil leak was coming from as well as several other issues that my car had and how much the repairs would cost. Pretty standard. They were not pushy at all and were very straight forward with which repairs where most urgent or necessary. The prices were reasonable and even low when I looked online. Heres the interesting part so bear with me. They replaced my water pump and my timing belt and refilled the coolant in my car. Somehow they forgot to put the cap back onto my radiator. An honest mistake and I get the idea from the shop and other reviews that this does not happen very often at all. My car sprayed coolant all over under the hood and my car overheated. I went into the shop expecting them to be evasive. Without any question they payed for my car to be towed to the shop. They cleaned the coolant off and refilled it for free as they should. He tested the engine several times and cleaned up some of the parts that got coolant in them. He took care of all the damage done to my car. Not only that, but he fixed a spark plug that was misfiring that had nothing to do with the coolant leak and replaced the ignition system, all for free. He also ordered a new crank for my window. He was very apologetic.Not only did the mechanic take responsibility for the mistake, but he went above and beyond what he had to to make it up to me. My car now runs better than it did before it overheated. It is very hard to find a mechanic you can trust, and this autoshop takes the cake and then some. They were honest, straight forward, had great customer service, and did good work on my car. I could tell they really cared about me and went above and beyond to make sure they gave me quality service.GO TO AUTOGRAFF! DONT GO ANYWHERE ELSE :)

Excellent service. My AC just up and quit, so I had a recommendation to call Autograff. I called on Tuesday, got an appt for Thursday and put on call list just in case of a cancellation. Then I received a call this afternoon at 1:00 (Wednesday) and had my car back by 7:20 that very evening with my AC working perfectly. And the bill was so, so reasonable. As a woman, I have often been treated condescendingly couched in an attitude of concern only to have my bill be sky-rocket high. I know nothing about cars, so I really couldnt object. From the moment I walked into Autograff, I felt respected. It was a nice feeling.While all I wrote above is still true, my last experience was not so great. I had my oil changed and the next day my engine blew up. I believe that the person doing the oil change didn’t replace the oil. Whether Milt suspected this I don’t know. I wasn’t vigilant when the man who bought what was left of my car said there was no oil in the oil tank and that was probably why my engine blew. I should have spoken to Milt immediately but I didn’t. That is my fault. I had to use all my savings to buy another car.My suggestion is to always make sure there is oil in the oil tank before you drive away.

I took my 2013 VW Jetta in to have my rear passenger window fixed and everything seemed ok, until two days later it broke again. I called the shop again and I was told that I could bring my vehicle back in for another repair. I was slightly inconvenienced that I had to take my vehicle in twice, but the staff and their service was very quick and professional. Everything seemed reasonably priced and was explained to me thoroughly. I would recommend this shop to anyone.

The people there spoke english (which is rare in this town), were professional, and friendly. We had about 6 things wrong with our car, and spent less than $650 total. They even replaced our wiper blades for free. I trust these guys and am really happy to be doing business with honest Americans.
