More people need to know about Jacks work at JP Guitars. He knows how to setup a guitar perfectly. He does great work and his turn around time is quite quick. Hes friendly and willing to listen to whatever issues you have with your guitar without judgement. He doesnt suggest needless services for the sake purely making money off his customers. Great guitar techs are few and far between. Even if you have to travel a bit, make a visit to JP Guitars.

The man is brilliant!!I brought my Eastman Archtop guitar to JP Guitars to reduce the scale length from 25 to 24, (I have small hands) which is a huge project. Other luthiers I called wouldnt even touch this one. He had to scarf a new joint at the headstock, create and fret a new fingerboard, and refinish the neck. When I picked the guitar up yesterday, I was blown away! I could barely find any evidence of the scarf joint, the refinish matches perfectly and fret job (jumbo frets) was perfect. The low action set up plays like butter. Jack, you are a consummate craftsman and a true artist. Well done sir.

I brought Jack a 1966 Haagstrom 12 string electric in pieces, that he managed to completely rebuild for me. That was 20 years ago. I still have that magnificent piece in my collection. He also repaired the finish on the back and neck of my 79 Les Paul . It was in show room condition when I picked it up. The man is an absolute artist, and a premier Luthier . Many thanks Jack.
