I was browsing late night for a new Heater and came across the power zone 1200w led display heater they had listed for 54.99. Im more than satisfied, display looks great and the heat output on the low setting is insane.

Worst experience Ive had in a store in a long time, went to get plumbing the guy was a regular smart a$$ smarted me off every thing I ask or said tried calling Manager after I left but he was to busy. Very disappointed and dissatisfied customer service like that he needs to be in a better position that accepts smart a$$$es definitely wont happen twice

Mclendons always has what I need which I love! But dont ever buy something for less than 5 dollars and use a big bill to pay for it or they will throw your change back at you! Lets work on our attitudes please!

Best houseplants around! Good variety of houseplants starting at $1.79, $3.49, $9.99. Cannot believe how often they get shipments seems like every other day there’s a new selection! Very trendy whoever does the ordering knows what they’re customers are looking for, today I got a whole bunch of 3 inch pots of different houseplants clearance at one dollar!!! Always amazing customer service I’m a big fan you should definitely check them out

Im usually at Home Depot kind of guy. But the aura and the level of professionalism and knowledge has dwindled. McLendons was always a little more pricey but went there today and enjoyed all of my visit good pricing good help nice people

I love coming into this store. They have the selection and volume of a big box, but the variety and specialty items you usually can only find at little Mom & Pops. Every time I walk in here, I find the item Im looking for (often a few to choose from) and some other thing that I didnt even know I needed.

Staff are very helpful when you ask them what you need.They will walk with you to the aisle and show you what your choices are.

Who ever they have in charge of the uhaul rentals is either not having a good day or just isnt good at customer service.I reserved a uhaul for my boyfriend to go and pick up. I messaged the store directly to let them know he would be picking it up, AND called the night before. When my boyfriend went to pick it up she was super rude about the fact that the reservation wasnt under his name and just had a terrible attitude.I certainly hope they either retrain her or get someone on the counter that understands what customer service is.Im only giving 2 stars rather than 1 because other than this girl, the rest of the store is good. Ill be back to the store, just going to take my rental business elsewhere.

Went here to get a stihl chainsaw. When I got there they did have a great selection of them. I found the one I wanted and told the guy I will take one. Well they just dont hand it to you. You have to go to the register and pay for it then go back to that department and pick it up. Once I paid for it I went back and found out that they only had one left and I just paid 209 dollars for there display saw. Not only was it used but when I got it home I bucked up half a tree because the blade was already dull. I would have never paid full price for a used saw. And yes it was used and it had gas and saw oil already in it. I am not happy and will never buy anything from this store again.

I’ve been shopping at this location for years. Customer service has taken a turn for the worst. Prices have gone up substantially as well. The local Home Depot and Lowe’s is a much better alternative.

I went in McLendons for the first time to get a screw for my dresser drawer. With the help of an employee working by all the screws, I did find the screw that I was looking for. But to my surprise, I was shocked by all the different soda flavors they had. Especially the rootbeer and creme soda flavors. Ill be going to McLendons more often for my soda fix.

Most likely not coming back here. We came in here because it was more convenient than driving to Home Depot. We wont be making that mistake again. First of all, $7 each for 2x4s?! Less than half of that at Home Depot. Second, we paid for plywood, went outside to pick it up and they told us that they were out of it. This was after, mind you, my husband walked around for 15 minutes looking for someone to help him get the wood wed paid for, and eventually just started doing it himself. So we ended up having to pay more for crappier plywood, and really they should have just eaten the difference after making us wait that long for help AND not telling us they didnt even have the other stuff in stock. Yep, Home Depot it is from now on.

I have a medial condition and was harassed at this store. I physically can’t wear a mask so I put my sweater over my face and the woman at the door said that’s not good enough, so I said fine and at tremendous risk to myself put a mask on but had my nose sticking out, I was in accosted by the manager and two other employees who said they would call the police if I didn’t leave and as I was leaving they followed me to my car and took down my license plate number, I for one will never be shopping at any McLendon hardware ever again...

Well let me be honest,prices are super high and Im an electriton and was trying to get a special breaker and the employee wasnt very knowledgeable,so all and all not really great

Very knowledgeable staff. I would be interested to know what you CAN’T find at McLendon’s related to home repair and improvement. They seem to have it all! Sometimes the staff can be hard to find - they aren’t overly friendly but they are helpful and that is what counts when you need some obscure part that you can’t seem to find. I come here all the time and will continue to come here for the things that I need to help with home repair. :)

My wife and I received 2 jackets for Christmas. Both we the wrong size. We tried to exchange them for the correct size but they didnt have any in stock. We decided to just return them. The girl at the counter treated us like we were low life scum. We had the receipt but that didnt seem to change the disgusted look on her face or the disrespect in her voice. She told us that the only option for a return was the refund to the original card. Would have been nice to have a different option as we received these as a gift.In the future we would really love to spend our money with a store that values there customers much better then we were treated.

Taking the hardware part of hardware store pretty literally, McLendons has the biggest selection of nuts and bolts and such hardware in the area. They also have a good selection of fine hardwoods, tools and such. I go there for the typical hardware store stuff. The people are very nice and its got a more family feel to it than the national warehouse chain stores. Its farther than the closest big chain store, but usually worth the longer trip because I am more likely to find what I need.

I was sold the wrong stove pipe for my woodstove, TWICE, and 3 days late I am STILL WAITING for my money to be returned to my card. Amazing how quick they were to take my money, but heaven forbid they have to give it back. If you do a return, make sure to get cash so they dont screw you too.

Some of the rudest customer service Ive ever experienced I ask simple questions questions for locations of products and multiple employees not only acted like I wasnt there or they didnt hear me which is quite possible cuz theyre all over 80 and the ones that did just pointed in the direction and said down that way will never return prices are ridiculous its the only place around so people seem to shop here butt if youre looking for solid answers or genuine customer service you want to travel a little bit further trust me itll be worth it

My first recommendation is that the employee tasked with greeting customers and sitting next to the mask required sign ACTUALLY HAVE A MASK ON. Then, perhaps it would be a good idea to have people on the floor to help costumers. It took over five minutes to find someone to ask for help and then the answer was curt and short and they walked away before we could ask another. (Also, without a mask on). Finally found a person to direct us to building supply who (again) was almost dismissive, but did talk to us. Unfortunately, he took his mask off and then stepped close to us to do it. I have loved McClendons for years, but this has happened too many times recently and I wont be back.Such a shame their customer service is now worst than Home Depot.

Beth was on the ball. She helped me as soon as I walked in the door. Told her what I wanted and she had 2 others pull my wood decking order and had me loaded and ready within 30 minutes, not to mention the price of the wood and was far less then Home Depots prices . Thank you for all your help.

Plumbing associates Roy and Austin didnt know what they were talking about and tried to get me to buy an install after I made it clear I didnt need one. They also told me they couldnt give me a quote on a shower door until after I made my purchase, they need to learn how to give a paper quote that is printed off with the companys information. Not just give me some chicken scratch on a piece of paper they can deny in the future. Im very disappointed.
