Kevin Austin at Star Motors did a fantastic job on my 1986 560 SEC.What a phenomenal experience! Kevin Austin at Star Motors went above and beyond his usual excellent work to get my old Mercedes running right and fixed many things that had been neglected by the previous owner of the car over the past 10 years. When unexpected problems arose, Kevin dealt with them in the most cost effective way. He truly has the customers interest at heart. The two old Mercedes I have (one is 34 years old the other 28 years old) require a professional familiar with cars of this age. (Jay Leno when he was discussing an old Lincoln convertible he owned used the word complex about 30 times in a 1 hour TV show. He said that to get repairs done correctly, that you had to find the guy.) Well Woody that works with Kevin is the guy as far as old Mercedes are concerned. He can fix anything and it would not surprise me if he cold even fix a broken heart. I appreciate the work they did for me and especially keeping me in the loop on everything that was going on. As a new customer, I could not be more pleased with the service and the level of expertise that I received at Auto Worlds/Star Motors. I was impressed at the knowledge and expertise that parts manager Kevin displayed. He knew my Mercedes inside and out. My wife and I were so impressed with his knowledge that we also registered our Lexus with Auto Worlds/Star Motors and will be bringing it in for its routine maintenance soon.

Had a Mercedes that my shop couldnt manage to fix. Took it to them and they fixed it correctly and at a fair price considering the work! They stuck with it and made it happen. Top notch guys that can fix even the highline cars that take so much talent and experience to get done!

I can tell you that these last couple of negative reviews are absolutely absurd. I have used Auto Worlds / Star Motors numerous times with my vehicles, and am incredibly impressed. They are always polite and courteous, prices are incredibly fair, and their work is great. I recommend them to all of my friends and co-workers. I will continue to use them for all of my automotive needs, and gladly give them my business.

My car broke down and I pulled in to the nearest parking lot which happened to be star motors. They were able to get my car looked and and fixed in the same day. Prices are fair and they even looked at my car when something else happened that ended up being unrelated. They are professional and did a good job. Thanks guys!

I cant possibly say enough great things about the team here. I had a tire blow out today on my way home from work. I got off at the antioch exit hoping there would be something or someone to help me. I pulled in to their parking lot on a whim and decided to call AAA. Before I could even get the person disbatched three of them came out with all the tools to change my flat tire. They had it done in 5 minutes and they even filled up my spare since it was low. I cant thank them enough for all of their help!!!!!! I will definitely be back!!!!!!

This has been by far the best shop I have taken a car to. They are honest and very competitive with prices and service was only done with my approval (considering price and other issues). They have always been honest with me with what things need to be done immediately, and what can wait. I would recommend them to anyone. The overall rating shocks me, as my husband and I have used their service for quite awhile. We bought a lemon of a Volvo from a shady dealer years ago, and if not for Star Motors that car wouldve bankrupted us if our only choice was the Volvo dealership! Check around, Google ratings are a good tool, but they dont always give the full picture.

The customer service at this place is PHENOMENAL! Just before going out of town over an extended weekend, I had a flat and by happenstance parked my SLK 55 in their lot. Just as I was about to call a tow truck, I turned around and realized I was at an import-capable repair shop. They were more than accommodating and the first day stayed late until my ride showed up. While I was out of town, they stored the car in the garage as a courtesy and as soon as I got back it was good to go! Apparently they just bought the place and from the reviews I had read from the old owners, theyve already done a full 180. Great work and thanks again!

Shady work took parts off my car without even calling to tell me. Didn’t tell my husband when he picked up the car.. my husband had to call to ask them where it went. Then they said they would replace it with a factory part, since they took an after market part.

This company took advantage of me during a very vulnerable point in my life, while I was 7 months pregnant. I was to only pay $95 for a diagnostic to check my AC and while I waited they pretended to do work they did not. When they called me to the front desk I was informed that my charges were $375 for 3 pounds of freon and 2 hours of labor (when I had only been there an hour)! Although I did not approve for the work to be done I paid anyway without a fuss because I was happy to have my AC working during the heat of summer while pregnant. Before I made it home my AC was back to blowing hot air; when I returned the next day they told me that it would cost $1,000 to have my AC fixed! They offered to take off the $375 I paid the day before and I would then only have to pay around $600, but I refused! I wanted to only pay for the diagnostic and wanted the rest of my money back for the unauthorized work and they declined. The manager (or possible owner) was rude and inconsiderate and I reported this company to The Better Business Bureau and Attorney General. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! THEY ARE FRAUDS!

My husband and I have used AutoWorld (Now Star Motors) for about 5 years - these guys are incredible. As a female, it can be hard to trust if are getting an honest answer for your car. I am confident when my car is worked on at Star Motors that they will not try to upsell me, but will be transparent about the work being done. Lance and Josh (and the team) will take excellent care of you and your vehicle!! (Note: The negative reviews are prior to ownership by Lance. His team is worth it!!)

I am a little torn on this one.My 2005 325i needed the oil separator system replaced, and it needed a new radiator/expansion tank/thermostat sensor.All of the work was done correctly and it is driving well. The labor pricing was good too compared to other shops.But...When I picked my car up I naturally opened the hood to check the work which was done and found the coolant level was very low. I suspect they did not fill it correctly by venting the air from the system. So the owner calls his tech out to top it off and the tech totally put too much coolant in. Now it is way over full with the floater guage maxed out sticking out of the radiator, I had to siphon some out when I got home.I also noticed they topped off my oil and added a little too much, but I changed the oil after I got it home because it needed it anyway.So I am thinking the techs are not very BMW savvy. BMW is really particular about fluid levels and too much or too little can turn into a nightmare, anyone who works on a BMW should know this.They also charge full price for parts, I could have personally bought all of the parts much cheaper.Bottom line though is my car runs well.So I am giving a straight down the middle 3 of 5 stars.

I just wanted to thank you for providing me excellent service. I had an issue with my Range Rover and Josh Baringer was able to help me where other Car Service Shops were not able to. Josh provided excellent communication and explained all the stepd he took to diagnose the problem. He was also able to identify other issues that I wasnt even aware of. Josh had the car repaired and in excellent working condition in a very reasonable time. If it wasnt for Josh, I would still be looking for someone to fix my car. I will be sure to use Star Motors and Josh whenever I have any car issues going forward. Thanks Star Motors!

Honest, and several times over have talked me out of unneeded repairs that other shops told me I needed. I had been getting estimates from other shops (to save on the Star hourly shop rate to diagnose) and then bring it to the pros at Star to do it right. Im so tired of being lied to at other places that the $95 now seems like a small price to pay for honesty... Another shop gave me an estimate for brake work, and when I came back a few weeks later, they raised what they originally quoted me. I said no thanks, Ill come and pick it up. They tried charging me for an additional brake inspection! I said you already inspected them, and thats why I came back - I didnt pay and I wont be taking my MB anywhere else but Star.

Went to fix my driver door on my e90 bmw. It was stuck closed. They got it to work again,however 5 minutes after leaving I had to return because their incompetent techs did not put back together my window switch,I went back and Ben had it fixed quick. After a day I also noticed they damaged my tweeter cover,and I also noticed they did not reinstall the tweeter or speaker. I went in today (few days later) to explain to BEN that they had damaged my car,and did not rehook the speakers. He tried to put the blame on me,and told me to take my car sone where else. Total bs. Unprofessional. Do not take your car here if you like it. They should be working on Hondas and not anything worth value. Ben you should not run a business. You suck.

Took my Mercedes R320 CDI (diesel) to Mercedes of Kansas City and they charged $350 for diagnostics and then told me that it wasnt worth repairing. If I wanted to repair it would be 11-15k, or they could put a new engine in for 23k. I called several other places around town and they were not willing to work on the car. Star told me they could fix it. They charged $100 for diagnostics and came up with the same basic problem but said they could fix it. They were very thorough in their detail of the problem and the solution. Long story shortened - I just picked up my car and it runs like a new one again. There were challenges through the process as it turned out to be more complicated than first anticipated but Ben kept me well informed throughout the process and I am extremely happy with the finished product and the reasonable cost for repairs. I can recommend Star based on my experience!
