Walked up at 6:35pm on a Monday and they were closed, google shows their house until 7pm, I even called twice ahead of time to ask if they had a specific herb and their phone line doesn’t work. Looks promising but probably not a great business practice to have misleading hours and no way of contacting the actual shop. I’m disappointed, I’ll take my money else where.

Went in for the first time yesterday at the recommendation of a friend, and I was not at all prepared for the entire experience of being in this store! I thought Id go in, grab some incense, maybe a few stones, and leave. When I asked about incense for cleansing, the gentleman working there kindly and thoroughly educated me on the proper tools for home cleansing and really took the time to talk with me about it. Then when it came time to pick some stones, I asked the shop owner if she had good recommendations for starting out. Im relatively new to everything and very uncomfortable showing my ignorance, but she set right into a full blown lesson for everyone in the store on a bunch of the stones, their properties, how to use them. I never once felt shamed for my lack of education. It was such an amazing experience to be in a store with people who are actively engaged in educating on a subject they clearly know so much about. It felt like being part of a family. I cant recommend this place highly enough.

First time coming into this store as I have gone to many stores in the OC as well as LA and in between. Her prices are reasonable and she won’t overcharge for the basic candles or sage. What I loved was how kind and generous in guidance she is, first time with husband and small daughter and Ms. Rhapsody was patient and kind with her and fingers all over the place which I attempted to correct (I promised to buy her her own crystals if she left my altar alone). The whole vibe was amazing and the people were really great, you can tell it’s like a family there and they were so kind and friendly. Ms. Rhapsody went out of her way to explain to my husband on plenty of her unique items such as idols and deities. I got so much great stuff for us all and I will be coming back for more, I am so glad this is my place closest to home. You will find so many books, unique statues and so much more, well worth the trip near the 405.

I really love the energy in this place. My two year old is a bit sensitive to occult-y shops and she was dancing to the music in this place. The owner knew her stuff and I will be back very soon. Highly recommend for even more advanced practitioners as they have ceremonial magic, earth based and even stuff for kids here! Just brilliant.

I love this shop! The owner is truly amazing. When you first speak to her, her tone can make you feel a bit apprehensive, but just as with anyone else, as long as you are polite everything works out. I come to the store with my younger brother, hes blind so he attaches himself to me, which makes it difficult to peruse the store. She always lends me a helping hand knowing I cant move as freely as I would if alone. Most store owners of any kind arent as understanding or sympathetic. Definitely a customer for Life!

This is by far my favorite shop to visit. I am a novice and my very first visit I was able to actually sit at the counter and talk with Rhapsody with my preexisting library of books and she told me which ones I needed and which ones I didnt. From that point on, I have come every time I need supplies or I have questions about guidance. I even have started to bring my best friend with me and Rhapsody has helped us a lot. Not only is she a fountain of knowledge, she will put it to you straight without sugar coating it, which I will greatly appreciate. Our last visit she mentioned that we invest in king midas oil and one of the faux gold hundred-dollar bills and we did. We put the oil on that night and the next day my state refund came early and my best friend found $20 in her pantry, in a popcorn box!!If you need guidance or you are a beginner like me, I heavily insist on going in and asking for information and what services she offers in terms of classes, dont beat around the bush, be direct. Rhapsody is magnetic, genuine, REAL and not for the weak sheeple. I love this store because I can find what I need without being told it has to be ordered. They always have things in stock and if I have a question about any of the products Rhapsody has REAL knowledge. Positive vibes follow me out of that place every time. I have been a regular at Points of LIght for years now. I love it. Having been to some other metaphysical stores, they often dont even have half the stuff that Points of Light carries, and they are packed to the roof with, well, just about everything.The owner and manager Rhapsody is the real deal. She doesnt want to put up with others peoples egos, especially if they just walk in the store and start acting like a princess and demanding the royal treatment. This isnt a chain shop with wage slaves working in it, its a specialty metaphysical store, and you can often find things here that you cant find anywhere else, trust me, Ive looked.The owner makes a point of keeping her supply of stock up, and she often goes in person to select the stock and transport it, cutting her price for regular items most metaphysical practitioners use, from crystals, to candles. Every month has different items on sale, and when there are pracitioners present offering services, they are quite often skilled at their craft, from readings to metaphysical healing, to instructional classes on metaphysical topics.She is also always brewing up something, either an oil, soap, incense. Sometimes it s tried and true formula that a lot of regulars purchase, sometimes its something new that she just wanted to play with, and encourage regulars or experienced to test run in the field. She is very much about practical magic and getting results that will help improve your life.

Woman behind the counter was incredibly rude. We asked her friend for help because she was on the phone. He was having a hard time and asked her after she was done with her phone call. She then complained to her friend that people always go in there asking for help locating products. After she was done ranting, she had an attitude with us saying something about how she was off the phone now and if we needed help make it quick. We left without making a purchase because of her attitude. There are several other places we couldve gone to, points of light just happened to be the closest. 0/10 would not recommend.

The only way that this store could be any better was if I owned it. Rhapsody (formerly Crystal) knows more about actual working magic than almost anyone you will meet in your lifetime. She **understands** magic, not just possesses a lot of book knowledge. Sure, she can be a bit edgy, if you come in with an attitude. She is not mean--she is a damned good witch who knows more than you do (unless your name is Lon, or Aleister, or maybe Starhawk :-) and she wants to help you actually get results--but she wont put up with random stupidity--which is a good thing. I know this because I have known her long before she ever opened her store, and I have watched it grow and blossom. Her collection of magical goodies is unmatched in Southern California and you can trust her blends, because she doesnt cut corners or pretend to know how to make blends. The place is small but clean, and packed to the rafters with all kinds of interesting stuff. But dont bring food or a drink into the store--she is intolerant of messes. If I had to clean up after people, I would be too! :-p
