I was feeling nervous going in, but the conversation was enjoyable and funny, and by the time it was my turn to get the piercings, I felt much more comfortable and relaxed. He has many years of experience and really knows what he is doing. Also as a side note, his prices are very reasonable and includes jewelry and aftercare product unlike other places I had looked at. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to get a piercing.

Came in for a spontaneous cartilage piercing and picked this place because of the great reviews and the low price discussed upon calling. $45 included the piercing, jewelry, and cleaning salt for caring for the piercing. Owner was very friendly and experienced. New needles and sterile equipment is used each time. Highly recommend for piercings!

This review is long overdue. Been coming here for many years and Steve has always been top notch tattoo artist. Just had more work done a month ago. Always heals beautifully and looks great. His prices cant be beat. This is a old school shop with thousands of designs all over the walls. I think his shop opened in the 1970s. Very cool person. Highly recommend this shop.

I came to get a Cartilage piercing, and what I can say is that this was the easiest and best pericing I have received. No joke, I have had my Cartilage pierced 3 times, by someone else, and each time it would keloid up by the 2nd day. The owner here, was professional, and well informed. I got a bit queasy for whatever reason and was feeling like fainting, and the owner was very helpful and understanding while I was recovering. I took my teenage daughter in around Christmas time for one of her gifts: a septum piercing and a new hoop for her existing nostril piercing. I’ve known of Steve’s shop for years, knew plenty who’ve been tattooed there, but never had the pleasure of going in myself. Steve put my daughter at ease, reminded me very much of my dad and his kind and gentle manner during the process. The shop is an industry landmark and reminds me of the shops I first got tattooed and pierced in 20+ years ago. There are no frills here so don’t let the rough interior dissuade you - just solid experience and unbeatable rates for service and jewelry. I can’t speak to the tattoo side of service but I hope to find out when I go back. Thanks Steve for being such a professional but also making my kid feel welcomed into the world of body adornment.

Sweet and comforting as usual, (Ive been here before as support for my brother and a few friends) I couldnt imagine being less afraid for an experience so (physically) foreign. Not only was it DUMB quick, we managed to talk about everything from my job to my post-piercing care procedures to prospective new tattoos or piercings. It was next to painless for my nose piercing (I would say about a 2 or 3/10 at most on a painscale) and if I need anything else done I know where my loyalty is now :) Dont be afraid guys-- the expertise is made known through flawless procedure and his personable essences. Absolutely an 11/10 experience. (I even made an account specifically to rate this experience I highly rec this place if ya have any doubts or dont know where to go)

I came all the way from Tulare California to visit my sister in Long Beach, we had been planning on getting tattoos for a while. Well, we got our tattoos but what happened after was not part of the plan. First of all, Steve is the coolest guy I’ve ever met! So the tattoo process was great! After our tattoos we were headed to the car when I noticed my keys were missing! Steve helped us look all around the block for my keys! Even tried to open my car for me. We had no luck finding them so me and my sis called a locksmith and as we were waiting Steve came and brought us water and checked on us and made sure we were okay! About an hour later still waiting he called us both to make sure we were still okay. He was super worried about us so after 3 hours of all that we went back and made sure to let him know we were okay! This is one of the most courteous sweetest men I have ever met in my life! Not to mention very professional and artistic. I was so very satisfied with my tattoo and my experience. This will always be a place I will come back to! I highly recommend this place. Great prices and a great man!! Thank you so much Steve!!

I came into Long Beach to visit family and find a good place to get my humingbird tattoo. Ive been searching around up north where I live but was not feeling it. Then last Thursday while driving around town, I spotted a tattoo studio on Pacific Coast Highway. I stopped and went inside and was greeted by a very nice gentleman who was extremely professional and courteous. After telling him what I was looking for, he went into his back room and appeared a few minutes later with a beautiful drawing of a humming bird. It was the perfect size and no one could beat the price. I decided to go ahead and finally get my tattoo. About an hour later, it was done!! Beautiful vibrant colors an- d UUE details, I absolutely love it and highly recommend this shop for anyone liking for excellent quality detailed tattoos. I will never go anywhere else!!

Went there last Friday with a friend of mine. We had piercings done and she got a tattoo. Steve was really great, we felt comfortable with him from the very beginning. A week ago today I went to the Slauson swap meet and got my noses pierced. Well that was a bad idea. The ring she used was huge and bulky and was just in the way. 6 days later I was washing my face and it feel down the drain. I used a ear ring to keep it open till I could find a tattoo shop that also did piercing so I can get a proper ring. I called and the man I spoke with was very informative and was willing to help out. When I got the the shop he was very nice and replaced my ring and gave me after care tips. Definitely will never go to the swap meet to get nothing pierced ever again.

I am one satisfied customer! Went to Steve to get my cheeks pierced (dimple piercings) as I have wanted them for a couple years now. Called around Long Beach and no piercing shop wanted to do them but Steve agreed to do it. He explained the risk and the caution which I was comfortable with. With any piercing its a hit or miss to be honest but Steve pierced me pain was minimal as he has a gentle hand. I would recommend him through and through. My cheek piercings are even and he upgraded my jewelry on the house (not plain silver balls but the ones with the gem ) and he was reasonably priced. I need my nose pierced and going back to him! I have a lot of piercings and am very skeptical about who touches me. Glad Steve wanted to do it and they came out perfect! Id give him ten stars if I could !Thanks Steve !

Steve is straight up with you when you want something. I went in there to get my ear pierced the cartilaged part and I wanted studs and he recommended not to get studs since they keep hitting the back of your head. The loops turned out to look really nice and he made it not that painful! I would highly recommend him. I payed 70.00 for both piercings including the ear rings :)

Got a small piece done there and its the worst tattoo Ive ever gotten by far. it was done by the owner, the crabby old guy that thinks hes good at tattooing but really he needs to retire. He has 0 pictures of his work, doesnt have an istagram or Facebook. I trusted him like an idiot so thats my fault, the lines werent even close to straight. The tattoo I got was similar to an American flag (the military aviation insignia.) I literally would have been better off going ANYWHERE besides there. Very disappointed. It was expensive too but I normally dont care about tattoo prices. He shouldnt even tattoo for free.
