This is an amazing consignment/ thrift shop with quality stuff from the past. I found a tall standing lamp, real wood bookcase, and a sturdy basket for my new place. They were all discounted! I’ve shopped around the Gulfport greater area, and Past Perfect has the best prices on the best quality furniture and nick nacks.

I bought a leather couch here, this week. Im happy with the sofa - but I doubt Ill shop there again. There was a dispute with one of the staff, regarding the purchase price. Its isnt clear to me who the owner is. They appear to rotate. There is a lack of grace, even though some people there know the business inside and out.They dont hound dog you like some places do, and thats a plus! There are other good things - like some of the part - timers. But management is all female, and that - just makes for too much estrogen, floating around.A woman identifying herself as the owner - wanted to pull out of a deal I had paid for, up front. Apparently, someone she had left in charge, didnt gouge me sufficiently. She argued with me like a truculent, and greedy, 9 year old.Except for consignments, this place has a high profit margin. But they still drive a very hard bargain.For me, customer service is important. If an owner knows (this requires insight) they arent even tempered enough to deal pleasantly with the public, they should stay in the background. Then again, this could just have been another cultural misunderstanding.Like most business in the deep South, the rank and file employees are great, but the middle management class is temperamental and a wee bit on the megalomaniacal side.Its a hyper - masculine culture, and the women tend to compete fiercely for status.

My wife and I just stopped in here for the first time. Very friendly staff and great prices. We loaded up on paintings and furniture.
