I love your store and I appreciate it so much that you are in Lansing however today when I went in to get a pack of frozen soup at 10:30am there were 8 people in line in front of me and only ONE employee..? Needless to say I left empty handed. Maybe cross train your employees ...there was a girl standing up at the register doing absolutely nothing the other cashier had one customer.

Im all for natural holistic products and I was not expecting so many options. Many of the items in my photos, I usually order online because lack of convenience. This store should definitely be a family favorite!

I really like this place, but some items are just laughably expensive. I have been coming here (at random) for many years. Especially expensive are the Amy’s TV dinners. Do your research before coming here.That being said, they do carry some items like Dr Kombucha (expensive but worth it) that I would drive out of my way from northwest IN to get. My husband LOVES these also. Because he is a former Dr Pepper addict. Lol.I do see long lines that are slow moving for the smoothies like people complain about, but I don’t buy them because of my no sugar diet. In the past, I remember them being delicious though.The staff are quiet and to themselves. They don’t say anything or greet you. This does not bother me that much, because I come from a background where this is not common place anyways. But I could see why some people would be put off by it. Especially for the prices they are asking.Sorry but this is an honest review. I still plan on doing business with them but I am extremely picky and selective over what I would buy. If they adjusted the price is for certain things I would be willing to buy them, on top of that I am paying the Illinois taxes.

I came into the store and ordered a smoothie I waited almost 30 minutes for a smoothie for them to tell me we dont have vanilla whey protein and because of allergies I had no other options then I attempted to get my money back only for them to say its going to take 2 days for it to be back on my card. So 48 hours and 30 minutes for a smoothie that I never got! Their products are ridiculously overpriced anyway! I come here because its convenient but due to the poor customer service I I think Im done with this place!

Its the only place I shop. Good prices, friendly staff. Always interesting shopping there. Great variety of gourmet foods.

I have been coming to Sunrise Health Foods since thex1970s. Wonderful staff. Very informative. A wide variety of health foods,vitamins etc. Would recommend this place to everyone.

I’m not sure what’s going on at this store but customer service has dramatically decreased since Iv been coming here. No greet at the door, no assistance at the supplement section, the soup and juice area is always super swamped and the new young lady took customer’s orders before mine when I was standing in line waiting to be asked what I wanted before them. I think it’s time to start looking for a new place to get my stuff.

I have been visiting this establishment as a teen with my mom for years prior to becoming a member myself. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this store. I was followed and racially profiled by store employees. I am completely appalled.As a young Black woman seeking a better lifestyle, I will not patronize a store that thinks that this is appropriate. While walking past an aisle, I saw two Black employees chatting. They immediately stopped talking and the male employee pretended to look at products in the dairy aisle as I selected my yogurt. After I made my selections, I walked to the water section. Upon picking up my waters, the male employee bumped into me without saying a word; no apology or anything. I found it to be incredibly rude.He walked down to the essential oil area. I am completely appalled and will not be visiting this store any longer. If people that look like me aren’t welcome, I’m not buying.

The knowledge of the associates is great. They do not sell try to sell you things you dont need. They will ask why you want use a certain supplement, what your health condition is; and they they dont rush in sharing information with you.

Small but still has a lot to offer. Nice and clean.

They prices way higher than whole foods organic green apples 2.99 lb way to high... Organic Bananas 89 cent a lb... Ridiculous.. My last time shopping there.. Damn spinach pizza close to ten bucks.. Cheaper at whole foods

The staff is very knowledgeable when it comes to specifics about their products. Another winning factor is that there are so many delicious options at the juice/smoothie bar.

Love this place. Always have what I need. I just need them to either put two people at the smoothie bar or someone younger. Not that I have a problem with older people working however, there is a time and place for everyone and everything. This just so happens to be one of those times. Something you have to wait 30-40 mins for a smoothie. Most people don’t have that type of time when they are getting something like that. When I go in there sometimes, she is 8-10 behind.

This place has the best smoothies in town. If you need a pick me up or just want something healthy I highly recommend.

My mother and I visited this location on March 14, 2020, as I was looking for some specific herbs by Brigel Enterprise that I purchase regularly at the Sunrise location in Country Club Hills and hopeful that Sunrise Lansing had the items. Fortunately, they did.However, in all of my numerous visits to the Sunrise stores, I have never had such a HORRIBLE experience as I did at Sunrise Lansing. My mother was looking for a certain supplement and a Sales Associate was walking down the aisle. My mother said “excuse me” to catch the attention of the Sales Associate by the name of Alice or Allison (red curly hair) as she passed by us. My mother assumed that she did not hear her, so my mother said “excuse me, young lady”. My mother is a gentle and sweet old lady.This rude, uncivilized and possibly racist Sales Associate turned around and nastily and loudly told my mother that she was “busy”. I could not believe my eyes or ears...Needless to say, I was horrified and shocked at her disrespectful tone and behavior, not to mention extremely poor customer service. I told the Sales Associate to “DO NOT speak to my mother that way”, and if she was busy, all she needed to say was that she “would be right with my mother”. She apologized, but at that point, her blatant disrespect overshadowed the apology, which was disingenuous anyway. This person should NOT be working at Sunrise, let alone any retail establishment that values their customers.We spoke to a manager, by the name of Christina, bringing the ugly and disrespectful encounter to her attention. Christina was genuinely apologetic and noted that the Sales Associate’s behavior was unbecoming of Sunrise Health Foods ethos.Again, I have never witnessed such disrespect in all of my numerous times of patronizing Sunrise Health Foods and I am a very regular customer of Sunrise Country Club Hills, spending $100’s on herbs and other holistic products very regularly.

Lots of great foods. Supplements. Clean. Friendly. The main drawback is the small, HIGHLY priced produce. Other store items, while great, are marked up too. Love the fresh food section; Taco Fiesta and other meals produced by the same.

I use to love getting my fresh juice from them but I honestly dont think they clean the veggies before they juice so I stopped. I juice my own stuff now and I dont get sick because I make sure my fruits and veggies are clean.

They have everything for your health needs here. Great products with fair prices. I grew 2 apple trees from 1 apple here. 3yr old trees now... Thats what I call organic! Very reputable and reliable staff and management.

I have shopped at Sunrise for many years, as it was the only place I could find a large variety of dairy free options back in 2007. I just tried their juice bar for the first time this year and not only was the juice really good the service and recommendations by the staff were awesome!

Its a small, well stock health food store, but their staff just need to be train better. Ppl on the juice bar are so unfriendly and make you feel like youre bothering them when you ask them for something, specially a tall light complexion man, you can tell hes just there to get the tip, but if you want a tip you have earn it. Fix your attidue. Some of their staff members make you not want to come back at all.

Very disappointed by my recent experience. Yesterday I purchased a few items which included a 4-gallon box of water. I was unable to lift this box myself & asked for help with carry out. Everyone saw me standing with one bag and assumed I was being extra even the woman doing spinal exams standing near my checkout line. Whats even sadder was that I was asked by this woman is that all you have? (Her opportunity to ask if I had back problems which she did not) instead --a customer recognized her & they chuckled together as to say yea girl I was thinking the same thing why does she need help with that bag being nosey as hell & unhelpful. When the cashier saw two guys who could help they were rude to her aloud saying they were both too busy. Customers behind me even frowned. I feel I was treated unfairly because I was dressed like a teenager and I know I look good for a 36yr old woman with 4 kids but damn I guess I was expected to throw the box on my back. Im 55 135-140 lbs. I stood at checkout for at least 10 mins as others were being checked out just waiting and looking ridiculous with my one bag in one hand (& gallon of water in the other) waiting for assistance. When I finally got help the guy looked pissed he even had to do it. It was just really piss poor customer service. I will be calling corporate.
