I needed a counter top for a mobile home we are remodeling up at Wiggins Lake in Gladwin MI. I showed Jennifer the diagram of what I needed along with the Wilson Art laminate that my wife had picked out. They took all the information and let me know what day it would be ready. It was ready on that day and I picked it up. I was so impressed with the quality and the construction. It was so well built. It fit perfectly. I realized I needed a side splash to the right of the stove. I called Jennifer on a Monday and it was ready to be picked up the next day. The staff at Paxton were all so friendly and helpful. I would recommend them to anyone. Best of all, my wife is so happy with the new counter top!

Do NOT use this company. The owner, Rachel, has been nothing but rude and condescending. They go over plans verbally and then write them down differently. You literally have to do their job for them or it will cost you way more in the end. We tried to support a local company and regret our decision to go with Paxton. Last but certainly not least, the owner texted my husband, yes you read that right, texted my husband telling him she was going to turn my bad review of their company over to their attorney. So if you are looking to spend a lot of extra money after the fact and want to deal with a legal battle, this company is for you.

I worked with Julie Barrett to select a new countertop for our kitchen. She was great and has a lot of patience. Once I decided, the process went very fast and smooth as James Bacon is also great at his job. The countertop was installed within 3 weeks. The installers were very efficient. I found a small problem after they left and it was repaired very quickly (within a day) so overall I am very happy with Paxton

I have worked with many contractors over the years, but I have never had such personal service like I received from Paxton. It extended to all phases of the work- Jen watching for weeks to help me find the countertop I wanted, and communicating consistently about her progress, James who coordinated the home visits, Peyton who came to my home and prepared for installation (and who also caught my change in plans), and finally, Gilbert, Andreas and Mel- who installed both countertops quickly, and with quality work. Everyone was extremely polite and oriented to customer service at its highest level. Ive never been happier or more impressed! Many thanks!

At the end of the day, my kitchen countertop is great and works well. However, there were several issues and headaches to get to that point.The first issue came less than 48 hours before installation. I received an email saying Paxton was going to have to reschedule my installation by several weeks and that they would let me know when they have a new date. This was less than 2 days before my instal date which I waited 4 weeks for and already had paid in full. I explained that this was not acceptable especially since I already took the day off of work to be there, as is required, for the instal and we had a plumber lined up as well. This ended up being a non-issue because Paxton kept the original instal date. It was frustrating to have to go back and forth with Paxton after they attempted to reschedule an instal date that they set.Come instal day, there were some additional issues. There was some damage, like kicks, bumps, and scraped paint on kitchen cabinets, which should be somewhat expected but it did not seem like too much care was taken when installing. Several of my new cabinets had harsh cuts and pieces of the wood chipped out at the end of the instal. This was much more than the mild paint chips and minor dents that we expected. There was also an outlet cover which was busted. The installer apologized for the outlet cover and luckily it was an outlet that was being replaced after instal anyway, but the lack of attention to detail was apparent. I also had some of my personal tools in the kitchen during this instal because of some work I was doing in there the day before. The installers were using some of my tools, including my hammer, during the installation process which I found extremely strange, unprofessional, and uncomfortable that they were going through my personal belongings.At the time of the quote and signing of the contract, the sales rep told us that the kitchen sink would be installed and secured to the countertop but not the plumbing fixtures. Come instal date it was a different story. The installers simply placed the sink into the cutout without securing the sink in any way. This was extremely frustrating to find out after the fact but I figured I can secure the sink myself and brush it off. The next issue became apparent in that the sink cutout was not properly cut on all sides to allow for the sink to be properly secured with clamps. 3 of the 4 sides were correctly cut and could be secured, but the front underneath of the sink was 1in longer so clamps could not be secured. I contacted Paxton, sent some photos, and the same day they were able to have an installer come out and correct the issue and finish securing the sink to the countertop. However, this was something that should have been done on instal date as previously agreed.Overall, Paxton has great customer service and is willing to work with their clients. The response times to my questions and issues were always extremely quick and efficient. However, I would not have needed their customer service if they would not have caused these issues and attempted to go against their contractual agreement we had. It seems like attention to detail was majorly lacking throughout this process. This unfortunately was not as stress-free of a project as I expected and throughout it seemed like Paxton was attempting to cut corners around their own contract and agreement with no care to how it impacted the customer.

Emily was amazing! She helped me find the style I was looking for in my price range. The installation team was on-time, respectful and did a professional job. I loved the fact that I could view full slabs to make my selection and that I had a personal assistance. I received quotes at five other vendors and the service, price and selection did not compare to Paxton!

Paxton just installed our countertops and I am really pleased. Mostly, I am pleased with the customer service. Their employees were super helpful from day one through the end of the process.

There is a reason Paxton has a 4.9 star rating on here. They may be the pinnacle service in their industry. Heck, they may be the pinnacle of service in general. From Sarah at the showroom, to Pete and Gilbert doing the install, this has been one of the greatest customer service experiences in my lifetime.Apologies for the long post.I was having a bad experience with another installer in the area, having waited almost three weeks to get a response back from them. At that point I decided it was time to change companies.From the minute I walked into their showroom on Saginaw, they took the time to help me through this journey. Sarah taking the time to listen to my nightmare that I had just gone through, and truly showing empathy to my situation. For being the first interaction I had with Paxton, my anxiety was at a high point, but she took the time to let me vent and help me with the situation. From there, she told me that their lead time had been around 10 -14 days from purchase to install... let that sink in for a minute. If youve had to deal with any trades during this pandemic, 10-14 days is a crazy low number, so I was skeptical. Especially when they told me my measurement and template was going to be 7 days from purchase, and install date was going to be 7 days after that (Black Friday nonetheless.)But there we were, seven days out and Matt was at my house doing the template. Right on time. Professional. Knowledgeable. And generally a good person. Had the answers to all of my questions. I tend to be a little nosey because I too am in the trades, but he took the time to explain exactly what he was doing and the next steps.From there I had to confirm my slabs at the warehouse on Waverly Rd. Even there I was treated as though I was the only customer. Prompt service from when I walked through the door from a nice young lady with whom I cannot remember her name (Sorry!) She immediately took an interest in what my project was, took the time to talk with me about it and even wanted to see pictures. It was a short rendezvous, however I left feeling like I had made the right choice to go with Paxton.But the big challenge awaited, the dreaded install technicians (play dramatic music here.)Now, trade technicians have a bad reputation, so any small improvement from Joe the countertop installer, with his baggy pants, untucked, raggedy shirt and general dislike of his job, would have been a great start for them. But no, I was sent Pete and Gilbert. Two of the best people Ive had the pleasure of having in my home. Professionalism is defined by them. They cared about the project. They cared about ALL of their projects, as you can see from Petes phone, and the pride he takes when showing you pictures of previous work he had done. Not to mention his personal work that he does outside of his job. I learned he has a nickname around the shop, and its Petoskey Pete, which will make more sense if youre lucky enough to have him as your installer. Gilbert was right there with him, step for step. There was never a time that I felt like they didnt know what they were doing. There was never a gut feeling of maybe I should have used someone else. It felt as though I had old friends stop by and gave me a hand with a project on the house. As for timeliness? Right on time. On Black Friday. I had even said to them, I thought they should have had the day off, and their response was along the lines of this is just another day of the week. They never made me feel like this was a job to them, they truly enjoyed what they were doing.So, if youre thinking to yourself what makes them so special? I beg of you to find out. They are special. They are in the experience business, not just countertops.So from the bottom of my heart, I want to say thank you to all of the Paxton staff. You are amazing. If you are able to give this type of experience to even half of your customers, youve made this world a better place.

Great experienced professionals

Paxton has been one of the only parts of our renovation that has been a dream. Julie was great at the shop, walking us around the slabs and even sending us home with samples of our top choices to think on it. Our contractor screwed up timing of delivery today so I had to talk to the installers through the security camera and they were nice enough to wait for my husband to leave work to come let them in. They double and triple checked everything, adjusted the counter until it was perfect - great attention to detail and such nice guys.

We love our new countertops! Paxton’s aren’t the cheapest and they aren’t the most expensive in the area, but they were recommended to us for the quality of their work and so we went for it. They had a good selection of quartz designs and patterns, and Emily was great to work with as we worked out or choices. The guys who came to install the countertops worked quickly but not hastily, and laid out mats to protect our carpet and hardwood floors. The final product is great! It came it even better than we thought it could! We’d hire them again!
