We worked with Tom from Quality Awning Shops to install two large awning on our restaurant at Taste of Thai in East Lansing on Grand River. It turned out beyond our expectation! Our building has always been bare and customers had a hard time finding our location. So Tom was very helpful with the design and knew exactly what we needed when I explained about our narrow driveway along the windows and lack of character to our exterior. Installation was quick, great quality, price was very reasonable overall very satisfied. Taste of Thai absolutely recommends Quality Awning Shops! 11/10!!

Had a pretty egregious torn hole in an expensive pop up tent that got damaged on a camping trip shortly after I bought it new. The company refused to refund or replace the tent and all the local places said that they dont do tent repair work anymore.Tom said he couldnt make any promises, but that hed be happy to take a look at it and give me a quote. I swung by on a morning before work and not only was he confident that he could fix the hole in the canvas- but when he found out i drove an hour (From Ypsi to Lansing) to see him he even offered to meet me in Brighton when it was finished so I wouldnt have burn more gas money!His patchwork was sturdy, quick, and affordable. Couldnt recommend this business more. Quality indeed!

Had to go pick a color for my sons new awning. Quality awning was easy to see from the road and lots of parking in the back.The gentleman that helped us (Tom) came right up to the office and presented us with the sample book and why we would want to stay away from the lighter colors.When we had questions, he took us into the heart of the workshop to show us the durable aluminum frame that comes with a lifetime guarantee. We were able to see another frame actually being covered!Tom was concise, to the point, funny & helpful. Educated us on the importance of the awning having regular maintenance and cleaning to extend the life of the awning.He even took the time to explain how the awning is hung and to inquire as to whether anyone would be bothered with them there.As another reviewer posted about it smelling like cigarette smoke, I felt it necessary to touch on that point. There was a very faint smell of smoke in the workshop. It in no way affects the quality of the work or product-particularly when the product they are creating hangs outside in the elements. It was not overpowering nor did we leave with the smell clinging to our clothes.The office space and the workshop were pristine clean!Cant wait to see the awning on the house!9/16/19 we had to go to the house and the awnings were n the house. They look terrific!

I can honestly say that I cannot express in words the exceptional customer service I recently received from this business owner. Tom is what I would consider to be the standard for all small businesses in the Lansing and surrounding area. We had to remove our beautiful 45 foot shade tree in our backyard because it had split in two. The result was the loss of the shade to our patio. Tom stopped by on his way home that very day and came up with an inexpensive and practical solution. Quality Awning lives up to their name. Not only did they finish the work on time, they also had great rates. They returned not once, but twice, to take my awning off and put it back on when I needed electrical work completed. If you have an awning, or you want one, this is the only place to look. My husband and I wanted an awning above our front door. We talked to Tom and explained everything to him, he gave us the pros and cons of different types. We sent him pictures and dimentions and after he explained everything to us we determined that it just woundnt work for us. His honesty was very much appreciated, he could have made it and installed it, made money even if we were disappointed but he didnt. I will send him all of the business I can because of his honesty and integrity.
