Ive been coming to Capital Auto Care for years now, Kris always takes care of me, his work is excellent, services are reasonably priced, and he doesnt bs or waste your time. Hes honest, up front, and probably the only person I trust to maintain my vehicles. I always recommend him when someone needs it, his shop is always clean unlike most, and best of all its a local owned small business!

I can never say enough good things about Capital Auto Care, and Chris. Him and his staff are out of this world. They fix problems the first time around. I made the mistake of taking my car to a different mechanic and I totally regret it. The other mechanic (I wont name the business) quoted me $950 for a part that hardly ever goes bad, and charged me $105 for labor (didnt tell me there we would be a labor charge for an estimate) I asked capital auto care for their expertise, and It turned out to only be $200. Thank God I took my car here. They are honest, quick, polite, knowledgeable, and experienced. Please, if you are doubting your mechanic, take it here for a second opinion. Ive been going to them for about 5 years now.

Best auto care in town. I feel really blessed to have ran into someone who used to them for all their Auto work. I tried them out after struggling for a long time to get my car in tip top shape. They diagnosed my vehicle and found the problem. They corrected a lot of issues that another mechanic had caused. My car is running great and for the first time in forever I feel confident that I am going to make it where Im going with no issues. I highly recommend taking your vehicle there for all of your Automotive needs. They are very consistent in their care with great customer service and they even text you to let you know when its done which I really like. Looking forward to doing business with them for years to come.

They never gave me a written estimate for their work and I completely misheard what they said. I would never have signed off on a $3300 repair for a 2005 car if I had seen it in writing. They became defensive when I asked them if they had offered me a written estimate. If you deal with them, get everything on paper.

Capital Auto Care has a great staff. My 96 Explorer broke down in Lansing with a failed fuel pump and rusting out fuel tank. They were very helpful working with me to get the tank and pump replaced for a very reasonable price with quality parts. Had a grinding noise every time I turned the wheel and I needed the car fixed in one day. I called around and they told me they could get me in an under a hour. They checked it out and identified the problem quickly. I received a ride home after I agreed to the fix and they called and picked me up a few hours later when it was completed.The rate was very fair and there was a 10% labor discount for students. Overall great service and nice guys couldnt have picked a better place to go.

My car was making a scrape noise when turning right. I dropped her off for a quote. Later that day I stopped back in and was handed my quote. It was for replacing 2 engine belts instead as the owner explained We took care of the sound for you, your belts were looking worn so we thought you should know that tho. . . . . Wow... In other words it was something simple and they fixed it for free. Where the hell do they do that anymore? I didnt even have to ask to see my worn out belts, he brought them right out.Long story short, it was a great experience and I recommend anyone with car issues check this dad/son owned shop out. Very professional, quick work, clean shop, and great communication.

My truck was sputtering and I did not know what was wrong. I took it to Capitol Auto Care and the mechanic found that 2 spark plugs were broke in half. I had the truck fixed and then went back for a tune up. I would highly recommend this mechanic shop. I had fast honest friendly service. If I have any problems in the future, I will be returning.
