Amazing store to rent or buy costumes and accessories, at the Grossmont outdoor mall! They have everything, from wigs to hats to gorgeous costumes for adults and children. Im a face/body painter and I love that I get to play with new products before purchasing them. They give discounts to entertainers and always have what I need in stock (besides the henna). Their wide variety means I dont (usually) have to shop online for face paint products.

Really liked this place. I was nervous that they wouldnt have a lot of sfx supplies, but they did! Also, oh my god, go visit the costume rental area, youll get lost; there is so much in there. I was thrilled with the Ben Nye creme wheels I got, they were worth the trip. The only reason I took off a star is because their prices are a little high for a starving artist.Brands: Mehron, Krylon, Ben Nye, and others.

Lot of cool masks in Halloween stuff year round. Also the lady that works there I didnt catch your name was very nice and helpful had to get some costume makeup and she helped me get exactly what I needed since I dont wear make-up everyday

Youd have to go to LA for a better selection of real costumes. Not the cheap stuff, but genuine customizable costumes for any occasion. Professional and helpful staff. My first and only choice for the best in costuming. Must see to believe.

I wish I would have found this place sooner then I did! It appears small but is much larger then expected and the staff has a wide range of knowledge on all costume and related topics. My only complaint would be that the shop is a bit disorganized and incredibly cluttered.

Great selection of Make up, costumes, props and additional stuff but the only few things I may have to complain about is how they double tax you on some items or steal your money if youre paying in cash. I went there to go get scarring liquid for a costume that I was making for a character from the Harry Potter series and a Native American Indian belt for another costume. Both of them were reasonably and cheaply priced but when the tax was added on there. I paid in cash for the correct amount with a extra dollar and they didnt pay me back the correct exchange. They even overcharged my friend when she was buying makeup for a costume of original character that she was making. Not going there again especially if they steal your money and not pay you back the correct amount if you had given too much. Im furious with them and they to turn their heads around or something because this is unacceptable to me in my standards as a cosplayer. Im better off with Buffalo Trading Post.

These guys are SO great! They are the ONLY place in San Diego where I can get last minute face painting and sfx make up supplies. They have EVERYTHING. Every brand, every color, all different sizes, palettes, adhesives, lashes, fake skin, I mean everything you could possibly need. AND they are super nice and so helpful and knowledgeable. One time I needed a palette for a gig the next day, I called them right as they closed and told them what I needed; to my surprize they stayed open a half hour after closing just for me! If it wasnt for the kindness and graciousness of the owner, I would have had a very hard time keeping up with all the kids I had to paint the next day. Much gratitude!
