This is not about the La Mesa, CA, store, but rather about the Office Depot OfficeMax system. Ordered computer desk online. Two hours later wanted to cancel order online, but the system would not allow me. Ended up in chat with a customer service person. He told me that the only way to cancel order was to refuse order when delivered. Next morning went to local La Mesa, CA, Office Depot to have them cancel the order but was told that I needed to call 1-800-go-depot and they would cancel the order. Called the number and after going through a long menu, was able to speak to a human. She told me that I would have to refuse order at time of delivery and that she could not track order to see how close it was to delivery. I asked her to contact the shipper and cancel delivery. After keeping on the phone for 7 minutes, she came back and said that she could not do that. I asked for a supervisor, and she said that there were no supervisors available. I asked her for the shippers name, which she gave to me. I looked up the shippers name and got its San Diego office number. I called the number and spoke with a dispatcher, who was able to call the delivery supervisor to stop delivery. This took me 5 minutes. The delivery was canceled, and I receive a message from Office Depot telling me that my money would be refunded in 5-7 business days. That was two days ago. This entire and plainly unnecessary waste of my time took 4.5 days to be resolved. Why couldnt I cancel the online order only hours after placing it? Whatever I purchase online from Amazon or Walmart, for example, I can cancel almost immediately and would get a cancellation confirmation email that same day. I dont like your return policy and process. It is antiquated and inefficient. I will never again purchase anything online from Office Depot OfficeMax.

Doug was extremely helpful getting my invitations printed and cut. Professional and personable service. Pricing was reasonable as well.

A person gave me a very difficult time with my face mask because I yawned behind their back and when my friend confronted that person the employees kicked him out and then the employees laughed at them behind my back. The prices are too expensive anyway and their customer service is near garbage. Avoid this place if you can.

I just needed some pages printed off from my email. Having just moved back from WA, we dont have our printer unpacked yet. Just a couple bucks for 12 pages. Quick and easy.

I want to say that my need of printing was done with complete excellence and professionalism by a young lady there named Rashaa, I brought her a very convoluted set of circumstances to make sense of and she took very quick control of the whole circumstance and made very easy to remedy solutions from it very quickly and handled it efficiently strongly recommend going and saying Rashaa at this Office DepotWell, folks as a result of a need for the managements help on a matter. There was not a lot of people in the store, which is good for me! Maybe not for the store though 😕. I have been looking for a wall calendar for weeks thats why I went there. They didnt have a wall calendar, they just sold the last one 5 minutes ago. Oh well, they did have a desk calendar so thats what I bought. That will do for now. Everyone was wearing masks!! The employees were helpful and nice!

Very helpful staff. Went in to buy labels or stickers for my sons birthday party. I was just going to buy the labels and make the stickers myself. My husband suggested I ask if they can just make them. Adrien a very nice, very experienced staff person helped me and she did an awesome job. I have my labels and she even emailed me a copy in case I need to purchase more.

The staff Ive been in contact with here are really cheerful and friendly. They are not afraid to joke and have fun with the customers. I appreciate any business who doesnt have an uptight corporate culture and especially one who has had me walking out the door with a giggle... and during COVID in particular. I donno about yall but Im frickin sick and tired of drowning in doom and gloom.

I come here all the time to print out stuff for my job etc. Usually pretty good service there are a few top notch employees. During a pandemic I was excited to see them still open. That all changed when half the staff werent properly protecting themselves. One of the staff members not wearing a mask, and constantly wiping his nose/ touching his face while touching the same computer + printers as the woman helping me. I advised I was going somewhere else and didnt want the prints any longer. You cant advise your customers to wear proper protection and then not hold your employees to the same standards.

Good spacious store. Registers are slow, but thats probably a software or communications issue. Should consider updating or reordering the approval process to help speed transactions. Should be able to swipe cc, loyalty card, and choose receipt delivery options without having to wait until the end of the scanning process. Overall the store is good for real office supplies, quick in and out, but the check out will probably take just as long as getting your purchase off the shelves. Employees are polite and courteous, but jot very helpful for technical questions. Suggest customers research first then come here to buy informed. Prices are competitive and most always in stock. Clean and safe location, even though they do have security walking outside. Industrial looking to match other nearby buildings. Great for compulsive purchases if looking for that type of deal, just note that selection will differ week to week and day to day on hot items.

Exceedingly Professional assistance with computers and the idiosyncrasies which accompany them. Also completely willing to price match on many or maybe even any object. They never mens words and they always tell you exactly what your choices are. Ill always go back there.

Love the location and plenty of parking close to freeway and trolley. Very good selection of office supplies, electronics and mailing and printing. Great customer service!

Print and copy services are great. Wide selection of common and some hard-to-find items. Nice, bright display of specialty papers and cardstock for crafters or special occasion project needs. Cashiers are friendly and sales associates are willing to help. Nice range of office chairs and other office furniture. Good place to go for back to school supplies. Unfortunately, no longer a UPS site. Parking is easy and there are plenty of spaces.

The PANDEMIC only worsening what was the original status of the reason why I made an earlier review to this La Mesa location. Store Personnel having weaker mindsets, permitting the Pandemic to overpower them.

I have noticed that every Office Depot on whole has become more about customer service. Within a minute of entering this store an employee will say hello. Always someone is there to ask you if you need any assistance. I like being able to get help quickly especially when looking for all the small stuff they carry.They always have great computer deals at Thanksgiving & Christmas too.

Twice now I have ordered Gift Cards and Gift Certificates for my restaurant, and was told a pick up time. Not only did I not receive my digital copies via email as I paid for, but even now I am sitting here half an hour past my pick up time while they finish making the images. Havent even printed them yet. Will not be coming back here due to price and hassle to get things done correct and on time.

The sevice was horrible! I was skipped over to check out not once but twice. If it were my order instead of someone else I promise to pick up their online order. I would have left. And the store manager didnt offered any better service. Ill never go back to this store again!

Took my phone in for a battery replacement. They ended up breaking my iphone and had to have it shipped out. We were supposed to have my battery replaced on December 30,2017. It is now January 8th, 2018 and I STILL DO NOT HAVE MY PHONE. They had it shipped to my home but the Fedex guy didnt even deliver it and we still do not have it. What a joke of a store. We still had to pay for the services too. Plus my phone wont even be fully fixed once I get it back.

Ive been shopping at Office Depot for years. The prices are lower than Staples. Office Depot employees can be misleading thought. For that they only get four stars.

I took my lap top in to have it up graded. I was told 1-2 hours.I waited 3 hours when I called i was told OH no we have to have it for 24- 48 hours.the next day at 6:56pm I got a call from office depot that my lap top was done but they close at 7:00 pm.this is the worst service I ever had.I will never go there again!
