Great little shop with knowledgeable people. Quick turn around and a reasonable bench fee to get started on figuring out whatever issue you may have with your Desktop computer or Laptop. As an IT technician myself, I dont always have the time to fix my own problems so it is nice to have a place I can trust to help with whatever issue may arise.

True story, the Geeks fixed my computer by replacing the hard drive and offering to attempt to recover my files on the bad hard drive for a non refundable $500. I called and spoke to a representative on 7/3/2020. They were very knowledgeable and friendly. One of their techs, (Alex) was in the store and providing service on 7/4/2020. This guy has the patience of all time! He doesnt mind answering questions, giving helpful tips/advice! Hes very knowledgeable and I truly felt he was completely honest with me about everything! His customer service is Superb! He completed the task in a very timely manner! I cant express how satisfied I am with todays experience! Very grateful he was working on the holiday! Went to check out what all they had and ended up purchasing a cheap starter computer for my kids. I wanted to just feel the place out and see what they suggested that I should get and then upgrade later. For what I paid for the custom built compared to what I actually got was a little bit more than I would like to admit but like I said I just wanted to check the place out. The guys there are nice but the one that helped me out to choose my purchase had good suggestions for upgrading and such but when it came time to check me out he disappeared. Which in a way made me feels as though I was getting ripped off. Lo and behold, I could have made out better elsewhere. Such as online shopping or curbside pickup where I would have a larger selection to choose from.Overall though my experience while at computer works I would give closer to 2.5 - 2.75 stars. Biggest factor for me for only giving 3 stars is due to me feeling as though they just wanted to make a sell instead of actually having me, as the consumer, in mind for the long run instead of putting it off on another guy to check me out and finish the process that took less than 10 minutes and that employee had no idea, or so he claimed, what I was buying or had no info on the specs other than what was clearly visible. In all honesty if it were a bigger retail type of store I would of had higher expectations and would have rated lower. But I went in with mediocre expectations in which they somewhat met.

Even though their website said they were open they were closed on Saturday. I would suggest they update their website and retail items. 1980s called and wanted their 8 bit items back.

Excellent, reliable service! I’ve dealt with a lot of different computer repair people and computer build people, and I must say these guys are different. They’re great at explaining things. They do good work and they keep their word. My son wanted to upgrade his gaming computer for Christmas and despite some complications due to circumstances beyond their control they stayed an hour and a half late to make sure that it would be ready for him on Christmas morning. Thanks to Nathan, Ethan, and Caleb my 14 year old is going to have a very Merry Christmas with an awesome gaming computer.

They said my laptop wouldnt be ready until Monday, my laptop was repaired & ready to be picked up 2 days early. Very happy with the repairs on my laptop as well as the service.

They scammed me stole my laptop I owned and sold it and kept the $50 I made in payments on repairs and they rudely told me it was in a contract I signed. But I was never told they were going to sell my computer. I brought my laptop in for the free inspection. I didnt have money to fix and tried to pick it up. They wouldnt let me and kept conning me into letting them repair it and make payments. I didnt tell them to fix it and when I came in a second time they had repaired it with out my permission and told me I had to pay almost $300 to get it back. In the mean time I lose my job and I also have $500 child support a month so I could only make 2 $25 payments over a 4-5 month period because of this ( the laptop had been repaired for 3-4 months without my knowledge already). The last time I had spoke with computer works they had told me I could just leave it there until I came up with money to repair then they repair and start their timer Im not aware of to be able to steal my laptop. My last $25 payment was in November. I had a death in my family and I forgot to call them. So in February 2019 when I call Im rudely told that its been months and that they have sold my laptop and I couldnt get it or the $50 I made in payments on repairs I didnt authorize back. So if you want your paid for property to be scammed from you and money scammed from you and to,be rudely told its your fault that it was in a contract they dont fully explain to you so they can steal your property from you and it be legal then computer works is the shady business you are looking for. Also in the time from my last payment they moved stores and aint even in the location I dropped my laptop off at and did not inform me in any way so I had no idea where to go and make my next payment. When I call Im informed my property is sold and its my fault.

The folks who helped me here are knowledgeable about the PC components and the used systems they sell. I like to bounce ideas off them when I run into difficulties with a build.

So I came in last week because my screen stopped working. The guy working couldnt get anything to show up using an hdmi cord which meant something was wrong with the insides of my computer and it was not the screen. The guy told me it was $55 for a breakdown (to my understanding a breakdown meant he opens my computer and finds whatever is broken and I think he said they go ahead and fix whatever is broken as long as it doesnt require extra parts), but I was skeptical at first because I was not sure how much money I had. I left but called back within the next 20 minutes because I checked my bank account and I knew I couldnt pay for the breakdown. I let them know that I was coming back to get my laptop because I just couldnt pay but that I would be back in a couple of weeks to get my computer fixed. As I am walking back into the store, the guy is in the back with my computer turned on. In the time that I had left and come back, he had fixed whatever issue it was and everything was back to normal. At first I was caught off guard because my computer was on, but then the guy hit me with the I understand the college broke student struggle, dont worry about paying man. In my opinion the guys at this store are understanding but also know how to get the job done. I really could not have paid for my computer to be fixed but the guy helped me out anyway. I would go back again if my computer broke.

My Sensei took my computer here for me when I shattered my laptop screen. They are great people who actually know what theyre doing. They fixed my screen in a very timely manner, because I only had 2 days before I started classes again, they fixed it in one day. I am so glad my Sensei knows a lot of handy people. I know where Ill be going next time.

They were very great to me, hlped me fix an issue with my computer not turning on. They picked up evey time I called and helped me with all my issues.

Didnt fix my computer & left screws missing on the inside of my computer. They replaced the wrong CD drive & they more interested in moving from Merchants Dr. than notifying me that my computer was supposed to be fixed & it wasnt. Bad experience for sure!

Im not an employee, never was. Bought 2 laptops from here in 2010 - a Mac and a PC - very happy with both. The staff is great, always friendly and knowledgeable. I emailed them regarding a software issue with my Mac and they helped. Very good tech support. They may not have the exact computer you want, but they get 5 stars just for selling and servicing Macs.

ComputerWorks saved our Christmas this year! We were in the mountains for Christmas this year and brought my sons gaming computer with us because Santa was bringing him several gifts to use with his computer this year. Once we arrived in Pigeon Forge, his power supply crashed on Christmas Eve which would have made Christmas a little tough this year! Thankfully I called ComputerWorks and they saved our Christmas. We drove 1hr to get there and we were treated with the royal treatment. These guys stopped what they were doing because they knew the situation. After an hr of troubleshooting and replacing the power supply and other tweeks, they saved my sons Christmas. The staff was so friendly and technically savvy and it made for a great experience. Thanks ComputerWorks for making this the BEST Christmas ever for my son!

I dont suggest going here, use to work for them and i keep hearing stories from my close friend who have been to them, of them making promises that they dont keep and over charging, also i know they fake reviews on here. Some are real but most of the positive ones are false (come on putting i am not a employee here or a short i like it here is a dead give away). Most of there things are over priced and/or gotten at the UT auctions. Just avoid it, save your money and find some place else.

I was told it was a good laptop comparable to Alienware laptop. Brought it home and it got slower and slower. I decided to take it back realizing it wasn’t good. I had it for two weeks only. I felt like the salesman there try to take advantage of you think you know nothing about computers when all there stock is used from UT leftovers.What made me mad the most is I payed $1310 for this laptop and told me there’s a 15% restocking fee. He told me I would get back $1050 back. Because I had them upgrade to a 1 tb sad and payed them for it!!!! After I swiped my card he told me I would only get back $1030 back instead because that’s what the computer is only allowing them to do!Never going here ever again and will make sure no one else comes here!!!!

They said free estimates when you call them, but then when you get there they say it is $55 to open the computer. Then they will give you a free estimate after you pay them to open it.

We had them upgrade out wifi wystem at out hotel and they did a great job. They also coordinated with our internet provider to get our plans upgraded to new speeds with plans that work better for us. Definitely would recommend them to others. Thank You

Their default solution to a problem is a bad motherboard. Then they charge too much for a simple install without updating any software or drivers. Once my new motherboard was installed the computer still didnt work and they again told me the motherboard was bad. I had it diagnosed by another person elsewhere and it was working perfectly. Turns out the CPU was bad all along. I wont be returning here.

Overprice!!! And not know how to communicate with deaf people, I was wanting to have my iMac hard drive replace and they gave me different price on it in 2 days so go somewhere else better than be sorry

Wow, the staff here is incredibly rude and unprofessional and the products are significantly overpriced. Came in a while back to buy a cooling fan for my cpu (had been broken during moving), was spoken to like a child when I asked a simple question, and ended up paying twice what I could have gotten the part for on Amazon. Tried to explain that I’d built my pc, am capable of fixing most of my own computer problems, and was met with the comment “if you’re buying this cooler, you must not know anything about computers.” Hey chief, maybe I’m buying this one because you have a very limited selection and everything else is so overpriced that I can’t bring myself to pay what you’re asking for it?You can get everything here cheaper online. You won’t have to deal with jerks who think they are Bill Gates because they work in some small computer parts store.Never shop here. Avoid this place like it’s a zombie with a chainsaw.

I had them replace a screen on my iPad. During the process they broke the camera bracket. I was told they were having the part overnighted. I had to call them almost every day and they kept telling me that usps still had not delivered it. Finally after 1-1/2 weeks of being told the same thing I walked in one afternoon and they were working on it. I came in the next morning and it was finally finished. They gave me a $20 inconvenience discount which did nothing to make up for not having my iPad for work. I got home and now the iPad acts like a ghost is always touching it. I can’t even use it. I went back and they said give it a few days and it should work. Went back another week later because the problem didn’t fix itself. They said they would order me a new screen and let me know when it is in. It has now been another week and still have not heard anything. I do not recommend them for iPad screen replacements. They obviously don’t know what they are doing.

They told me my laptop needed a new motherboard and wanted to charge me over $200 to install. I bought one myself an put it in. It was so easy, but it still never worked. I sold it an the guy I sold it to fixed it in like 5 min! He said it was a bad CPU not motherboard! You think when a place that is suppose to know how to fix a PC would know that the CPU was bad not the motherboard. I called them an asked if they check if the CPU is bad when they check broken computers an they said yes.

We used Computer Works for all of our computer issues and purchased one from them for several years ago. On one occasion they even came to our house for a problem. In February 2017 we took a laptop with bad hard drive for repairs, and found they were under a new ownership.Their estimate was around $300. Our laptop was several years old, so I asked about purchasing another computer. They had a laptop they had refurbished for $500. I brought it home and realized that it didnt have a keyboard style that I wanted, and so I returned it without using it. They demanded a $125 restocking fee...and it hadnt been turned on.I thought that was unreasonable.

I will never be doing anymore business with place! This place is a complete scam!!!!!!!

I called to see if they sold a screen compatible for my Inspiron 1545. I can find them online, but was looking to install today. The guy tells me he can order one online for $145.00. Dude, they sell for $34.00 and up online!! WTH?? I dont recommend this place at all!! RIP OFF!!

I called today about a specific connector and the clerks response to my question was we should have that but if we dont we can order it for you Well junior, can you tell me if you actually have one or not? SHOULD does not work in business. Either you did or you didnt. I can get one on Amazon for $6.99 but I would have rather bought locally and not had to wait. There was no effort made on the phone to get the sale or bring me into the store. I didnt feel like he was sincerely trying to help me. I could not recommend shopping here. I would much rather say SHOP LOCAL but this place isnt deserving of it.
