Amazing bike shop with friendly owners and great personal service. We needed a new bike for our son and were overwhelmed with all of the options looking online. Bicycles of Kirkwood were able to help recommend a bike, set it up, and get us out the door within 30 minutes. We then brought our 3 bikes back to be maintenance and they did all of the work in 1 day. I can only recommend this great bike shop!

After taking my bike to Mike’s bike repair were they tried to charge me 165.00 for repairs I knew I didn’t need,I brought my bike here were I was told only thing I needed was a bike tuneup which he done for 60.00. They are very professional they keep me informed about everything. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.

Mike and his mom was truly wonderful! Mike was very honest from the beginning and was always taking time to answer every question. He was never in a rush and has a genuine personality. I highly recommend his shop. Printing is very honest as well and he breaks down the price for your understanding so you don’t get surprised. Overall very pleasant experience! Hands down the BEST bike store! Excellent, personable service from Mike and his mom. Never once did I feel talked down to or snubbed due to my lack of bike knowledge. My 13 year old son is into BMX and we went here for him to look at a bike he had been saving his money for. Mike and his mom instantly welcomed us both and were incredibly warm and friendly and easy to talk to! They both talked to my son like a person, instead of looking at me, they looked at him and talked to him and treated him with respect. Mike offers layaway and allows kids to make payments when they can at the amount they want. It’s good old fashioned solid customer service where you are treated like family! The layaway account was even put in my son’s name and he handled all of it on his own which made him so proud!

Been going here for 30 years...Mike was a teenager...now hes a grandfather; mom is nice too.....

This is how people should be everywhere. I went in last Christmas to see about getting a bike for my 8 yr old daughter. When they found out she was still using training wheels on her old bike they advised me not to get her a new bike until she could ride without the training wheels. Otherwise it could be a total waste of money. So I didnt buy anything. Needless to say, I went straight back when it came time to get a bike for my son, and they helped us find a great bike, perfect for his tall (and growing) size and for how hell be using it.

I went in yesterday to look at what he had and it seemed that he knew right off the bat what Id be using the bike for. He fitted be for a bike and didnt try to sell me out of my price range. He will give you a lot of information, some youll retain, and some if youre new to biking like me will fly over your head at first... Its ok, just ask him to clarify anything you need and hell be happy to go over it again.Do not be afraid to ask him questions, he knows his stuff and is very nice. The intimidation factor at this shop is absolutely zero. Those little mom and pop stores are the best. This one is a son and mom store, lol. Still the best though.I went to the alpine shop first and I had one guy ask you doing alright I said yeah and he kinda just left... Thats cool if you know what youre looking at I guess, but I didnt know what to ask. Bicycles of Kirkwood talks you through things so you know what questions to ask, huge difference and if you end up buying a bike here you will not regret anything because you will have gone through everything before to make sure you pick out the right bike for you.This shop is, for sure, my go-to for bikes. First of all, Mike and his mom are a pure pleasure to interact with. Both are so friendly, and Mike really knows his stuff.I have a mountain bike that originally came with lousy derailleurs, so I had them replaced (by the shop that sold it to me) with Shimano. What a difference. But after a few years, they needed adjusting. I brought my bike here because I try to support local businesses, and am so glad that I did. Mike not only adjusted them, they shift smoother than when I frist had the Shimano deraileurs put on! So awesome.I will be doing business, here, from now on.Thanks, Mike!UPDATED: Ignore the 4-star review given by Aoom Demos. Obviously taking it out on BoK for not liking the bike Aoom purchased. Not fair. Unrelated to how BoK operates.
