Thought I would support them as they had what I wanted. Online showed item in stock...Arrived there 15min later, I was the only customer. Wondered around looking for my item, eventually asked person at front desk, he was no help whatsoever...Finally got help from another person, at least he seemed interested. Guess what, item not in stock, even his inventory checker said it was.Northern Tool needs to become a bit more professional and work on their customer service if they are going to stay open...

If I could give this place a 0 I would because they are very improfesional and seemed like amatures dont know how to run a business what so ever .I placed an online order and the item was to good to be true like on scam websites . So I paid for the item waited for weeks only to receive a call from store manager stating the item was no longer available this is my first and last time dealing with northern tool .I walked in the store and orderd it for this reason to be sure it was not my fault in processing of order but still got negative feed back . If its too good to be true go with your first thought you are right but I was assuming that northern tool is managed better but I was totally wrong .

Great customer service. I got the card and saved $40 on a $55 purchase.Store was clean and was staffed with more than 2 people!! Floor associates and cashiers were ready to go! Was referred to store #676 in Katy from the Houston store on Belfort Ave. Here in Katy I was greeted by Sam . Sam was very helpful and knowledgeable in the MetalTech Baker style scaffold and accessories to meet my current needs. Sam and Emilio gathered my scaffold and accessories on a pallet jack. Sam had to pull the 46” outriggers from the back . He knew his inventory and right were they were . Emilio got me to the register where Sofia checked us out in a professional and courteous manner. Emilio loaded me out in the parking lot . One of my most pleasurable Northern Tool+ Equipment experiences yet . This location was a bit out of the way for me but will definitely comeback to this location in the future. Thanks again Sam, Emilio, and Sophia.

Don’t go here. Go somewhere else, they clearly don’t know that Texas state law says you don’t need a mask anymore. There are PLENTY of other stores to spend your money. I didn’t give a fuss about being told I needed a mask but I’d rather spend my money where I’m welcomed by the majority of other Texans.

I have been to this store many times. This time I needed my generator repaired. Daniel in service was awesome. He was super helpful and attentive. The repair was very affordable and an overall great experience working with the service staff. However, once I go to pay for a final time the cashier tried to overcharge me and then were incredibly rude when confronted with the fact that they were trying to charge me about 25% on top of the cost. A manager was standing right there, and did nothing to resolve this issue. This would be a 3 star review if the cashier (no name tag) would have been the least bit cordial about the mistake.

A great place for tools

I shop here regularly and service is usually good. I took in a chainsaw to get an estimate for repair. I purchased the chainsaw from Northern Tools 7 years prior. I paid $35 for the estimate that would go towards the labor of the repair. They told me 3 to 4 weeks for an estimate. Around the end of the 2nd week I received a call from an employee stating they could not find parts for my chainsaw anymore. There was nothing they could do. I dont mind paying half of $35 for something they couldnt fix. Not a good policy for items Northern Tools cant fix.

The store was very clean and organized. They had ample help working the floor. Check out was a breeze, but they only had one cashier working and customers were lined up. She did a wonderful job processing everyone as quickly as she could. The store manager needs to have backup for the cashier to help with the check out to keep the customers happy.

In the economic climate were facing these Einsteins turn away paying customers who dont wear masks. Solid business decision. Another sale lost to Amazon.

This was my first time shopping in Northern Tool but definitely not my last. Friendly helpful staff and the place is kind of a mix between Craftsman grade stuff and Harbor Freight grade stuff. Regardless of what grade you want they have it. The prices were also surprisingly affordable. I felt like I was at Harbor Freight but with much nicer stuff.

Unexpectedly my first visit to this store was terrible. My husband and I went on Saturday, February 29 to buy a Sthil gas chainsaw, fortunately the worker who asked for it brought it very kindly and quickly, he asked us if we wanted him to try it and told him it was not necessary. Kindly he took her to the register. Thats where something really happened that we had never experienced in any other store, the employee who is at the register, I dont have her name because she didnt even show up, but she was the only woman employee that we saw, without commenting anything took the equipment to prove it. Upon his return we were baffled by that action, we asked for the original box of the equipment and she very roughly tells us that she could not give us the box, because the boxes were destroyed. We tried to explain that this equipment was to be sent to another place that was not in the original box, so we did not want the equipment. Another unexpected response, she says that the team had no refund, coming to suggest at some point that we could if we wanted to go to another store. We sincerely feel frustrated, we made the mistake, of not calling the manager because it cant be that things like that happen or maybe its the regulations of that store? For my part, I dont think things like this are allowed.

Paid for an item to be picked up at the Austin store. Turns out they dont have it (although at the time of checking out NT website showed they did). So I come to this store which had it and they give me this whole rigmoral that I have to cancel the order and start all over again. What a backwards beaurocratic company where the left hand doesnt know what the right hand does. Cancelling order and will purchase it elsewhere. Never again from this retailer !!!

I bought a pressure washer online and it would not start. When I returned it to the local store I was told I could not return because it had gas in. Then it would be 3 to 4 weeks to repair. I called online to complain and was told it should have not been a issue and was given a return authorization code. If the management team at the local store had been better trained they could have explained the process instead of just refusing the return. Their lack of experience and professionalism has lost them a customer.

I Shopped there today. Maria was very friendly and knowledgeable. Seemed to care a lot about her job. Robin seemed very happy to be there and to enjoy her job too. The store was clean and had a nice selection. I will definitly be back.

I learned my lesson today, NEVER BUY ANY POWER TOOLS FROM NORTHERN TOOL AND EQUIPMENT...I bought an auger power head, and the fuel lines disintegrated within 25 months, so is out of warranty, so I figure I fix it myself, well guess what? Northern tool doesn’t sell repair kits for their own equipment...?! Why do they manufacture their own brand and do t sell any kits to fix them? because they want you to bring it in and charge you for the repair..like I said lesson learned..

Good store to buy tools. They do not have as much selection as Harbor Freight. Tools a little bit better on certain things. Lacking .035 stainless welding wire which is the most common size for stainless.

This place will fix you up. Always a sale. Friendly service. Lots of cool stuff.

I ordered a generator online and the website said there was 2 in stock. 30 minutes after receiving my confirmation email I got a call from the store from a lady named savanna who said they sold the last 2 generators 10 minutes ago. I stated I placed my order before they were sold and asked if they was anything they could do to fix the situation and she said “nope”!Horrible service and even worse employees!
