I was in Hilo and needed to rent an amp for an early morning gig at a local school. The owner Spencer was super cool and even opened up a bit early so I could come grab it and get to my gig on time. Ive dealt with dozens of music shop owners before and Spencer stands out as one of the best. Thanks for everything! If Im in Hilo again, theres no question Ill be here again.

Was on vacation (all the way from Iowa) and went in to rent an accoustic guitar...ended up choosing a Timberline, which sounded very good and was more than adequate for my needs. Owner was in shop and was awesome, very much liked him and the entire experience was tremendous. Walked in on a whim today and met a great guy selling guitars at awesome prices. I have been to a few shops on the island and was underwhelmed with the service I received. Today I was absolutely blown away by how awesome Spencer was. I didn’t buy anything today because I didn’t plan on being there, but when I do I will only shop here.

I go there often to get my guitar set up and buy strings. Spencer always sets up my guitar perfectly and makes sure he helps me anyway he can. Definitely big islands best music store.

The atmosphere here is very friendly and welcoming. Plenty aloha. Spencer, the owner, treats customers like family. He is very knowledgeable regarding musical instruments and provides great service at very affordable prices. All of the music shops in Hilo are awesome, but I would recommend Big Island Guitar and Music Supply first. Mahalo!

These guys fixed my cheapo classical guitar when I thought it was beyond hope. They got good ukuleles too. Check em out!

Just needed a practice guitar while I stayed on the island for 2 weeks. Alison was knowledgeable, very helpful and sweet too. They have a great selection of instruments and very reasonably priced.

Spencer is a very personable individual who is very knowledgeable. The store itself is quaint and stock can be limited but it has pretty much everything thats needed in general.
