If I could give negative stars, I would. Terrible experience. Reserved a 26 truck. Was called the day before the rental that the closest one was 2 hours away in Grand Island. Thats obviously not ideal, but since their policy is to call you the night before you pick up the truck, you dont really have much of a choice because youre moving the next day and you cant really cancel and figure something else out in time. Drove the two hours to arrive at the location at 7:00 am. Come to find out, they dont even have a 26 truck there. They decide to give me a 20 truck and a trailer. AWESOME. I could have gotten a 20 truck with a trailer in the town that I live in, I didnt need to drive four hours round trip to pick it up. I called and asked to be reimbursed for them not having the truck that I reserved and the fact that I had to drive four hours out of my way to pick up something that I could have driven a few blocks to get. I paid $1100 for everything initially and the manager promised over the phone that he could knock it down to $700 for my troubles which I was satisfied with. A week or so later I was reimbursed $152, which clearly isnt $400. So I called to ask where the rest of the money was at and they gave me the run around about how thats all the more they can do. Thanks for nothing, UHaul. Save yourself the headache and just hire a moving company. I know theyre more expensive, but its better than having to deal with these idiots.EDIT: About two minutes after this posted, I received a phone call informing me that Id be getting an additional $200. Thank goodness for the ability to review. Ill bump it up to 3 stars. Still not something that I needed to deal with when moving. Its stressful enough as it is and youd think a company that specializes in this field would realize that.

Local staff is friendly and capable. Got me on my way in a timely manner, and made it easy to move everything by myself. But they didnt have the equipment I reserved and I had to get a smaller truck. Added a stress I didnt need when moving out of state.

These folks were GREAT. Very helpful, and even noticed a situation with MY tow vehicle that could have caused a problem later. I have used U-HAUL many times in the past. This was one of the BEST U-HAUL experiences I have ever had. A big THANK YOU to the staff that helped me on Saturday morning September 16, 2017.Jim Melka

Called for a quote and started asking for personal information. You have no right to do that. I would even think its against the law. All I wanted was a quote and youre wanting to waste my time. It isnt right. Never asking you, again. Why do you think people dont want to give out information. You probably sell our information. That is the only reason youd ask. I consider this theft.
