My meal kit delivery service experience started with Chef Ami but I decided to try some other companies over the last year. I’m going back to Chef Ami! Their comparable plan is a bit more expensive ($20/delivery on the 4 person plan) than the other two I have tried BUT I never dealt with debatable quality, missing ingredients, late deliveries, recipes that don’t give enough detail to readily remake sauces and spice blends, dealing with packaging materials every week and the list goes on. Don’t bother shopping around…just go with Chef Ami.

Delicious, easy, simple, and affordable meals. We have used Chef Ami a few times after someone gave us a free week to try. I am so happy that we did. We have used a few other meal delivery services and Chef Ami is at the top of our list. They have less waste and we have the ability to customize our proteins. I love that I receive a chicken breast and my husband gets a chicken thigh. Its the little details like this why Chef Ami is now our top choice out of the 3 companies we tried. The meals I have received were delicious. I was impressed with the way the meals were planned and sorted to the tiniest details. The reason I give them 4 stars is I think its a little expensive for a single persons budget. Im not a big eater so I do have leftovers, a lot of leftovers. I am glad I gave them a try.

First of all, let me say I am definitely not the target audience because I HATE to cook. But I decided to give it a try because I am married to an Italian who LOVES to eat! All the food is amazing and farm fresh and huge! I never saw such a huge onion and the red peppers were so fresh for the meal, I remembered growing them in my garden. That’s the best part, all the vegetables and fruits are farm picked at their prime, so they arrive at our door so fresh. Much easier than searching the stores. The meats are superb, too, as they are top grade. Can’t ask of anything better as all the ingredients and recipe cards come to us. My husband is so excited when we receive our weekly box that he rushes to the door now to see all the yummy surprises inside. It’s so much more fun than opening a box of Cracker Jacks! Love their recipes and the fact that you can choose your protein (just figured that out recently). There is some prep work to do but this is necessary to keep your veggies as fresh as possible. And there are almost always left overs for the next gays lunch!

I absolutely love Chef Ami; not just the food but also the customer service, website, and overall user experience. Every time I have provided a comment or suggestion, or if I have had a question, they have been quick to reply and help me out. The food is phenomenal, and I have learned a lot from cooking the various recipes, including how to prepare foods that I had never tried before. I even found ways to enjoy things I thought I didnt like (arugula) and I am very appreciative of that. I really enjoy the variety, and the fact that I dont have to worry about the whole whats for dinner question. The portions are also really good, which is great for someone who is watching what they are eating. The food is always very fresh, too, and I am happy to know how much of their packaging is recycled. Overall, this is an amazing local company that I am proud to support.

We recently tried Chef AMI and it is great. Fresh food, with easy directions and just the right spices. However, we are elderly and dont feel well enough to fix it ourselves so we are terminating our future orders. I was told they have people who will come and cook it for you but we just want already cooked meals delivered. So, not for us. But for younger busy couples/families, try it. You wont be disappointed. They are an honest hard working creative food business.

I cannot overstate how much I love this company! The recipes are always incredibly delicious (Literally every meal I hear, “Oh my gosh this is so good!”) and easy to make. The 2-person plan feeds myself, my husband, and my three little kids, and the flexibility of having it delivered every other week is perfect for us. But to a degree, you can get these things from other meal box services. What sets Chef Ami apart the most to me is their social and ecological responsibility - I leave the box and packing materials on my porch and they take them back and reuse them, they use local farms and organic ingredients, and for every box that gets delivered, they donate a meal to Feeding Florida. Im a TOTAL convert!!The food is AMAZINGLY fresh, the first recipe I tried (Shrimp Enchiladas) was easy to accomplish, and the flavors were incredibly delicious. With every bite, my husband and I would say, Wow! and Wed never have thought to make something like this, and This is fantastic!One of the biggest benefits is that we can try dishes (that we make ourselves!) without having to purchase unusual ingredients or spices that go to waste because theyre more than we need for a single recipe. We would definitely spend at least as much eating this restaurant-quality food out and/or trying to make it on our own. And I love that the food (and the service itself) is locally sourced. TOTALLY worth the price.I also really appreciate the customer service. When I signed up and wasnt able to enter the promo code, Matt was right on top of it and took care of the issue without any ado whatsoever. All I did was call and leave a message and the next morning I received an email saying it had been handled. Nice!

Weve been using Chef Ami for about 3 weeks now and we love it! The food is delicious and varied with filling portions. The recipes are easy to follow and Ive gotten a lot of enjoyment putting our meals together. We are doing the 3 meal/4 servings plan for me and my husband and have taken the leftovers to work - everything has reheated nicely the next day. Were saving money and a lot of time - plus weve been able to either compost or recycle the scraps and packaging which is a great plus.

Amazing fresh, high quality ingredients and easy to follow recipes. I have tried one other food delivery service and they were not even close. I love that the packaging is mostly reused by the company and the rest is mostly recyclable. I think it helps that this is all handled locally. I have tried many different food delivery services and this was probably my least favorite. When it comes to the quality, it is the best. However, the portions they give are WAY to small. I honestly thought I was missing items, because the portions of noodles and salad given was a single serving. The price is high and if you are going to give such little portion sizes, the price should not be higher than your average food delivery options. I can hit up Fresh Market and buy $30 of great quality meat to last 2 weeks and that is half this price. No way im spending that much money on this anymore. The meals were just OK. It seems like they try and be unique in the recipes, but honestly are not very good. I would easily recommend HelloFresh over this any day.

We love our Chef Ami service.We are cooking together since everything is ready to be cooked and plated and the recipes are easy and fun to follow. Dinner is ready quickly and I dont have to think about what to cook and whether or not I have all the ingredients. No last minute trip to the store on the way home from work so no impulse buying either and less waste! I am am adventurous cook, but Chef Ami has opened my eyes to new ingredients and combinations, and weve loved the new flavors. After a month of meals, we havent had one miss yet! Thank you Chef Ami!

Food is great. Sometimes the meal prep is a tad involved and takes a little longer than we may want (we also have two small children so cooking with them tugging on a leg isnt always that enjoyable). I love these meals! I love the variety of meals....I love that the ingredients are fresh and well proportioned...and I love that these are meals that through regular normal shopping I would never have without Chef Amis help! I highly recommend!

When I was raising my children, I was used to planning meals and cooking for a small army. Now that Im almost an empty-nester (one more to go!), meal time is SO MUCH HARDER! Youd think it would be easier, but no. A planned menu, with all of the seasonings and ingredients pre-portioned, without worrying about squeezing grocery shopping into my already insane work week is a dream come true. Chef Ami is the last line of defense between my poor daughter and 10/$1.00 frozen dinners. Thanks, Matt!

We have been loving our meals from Chef Ami. It is so wonderful to have new, tasty recipes to cook with all the ingredients provided! Portions are just right with food fresh and delicious.

I work till 1730, walk to parking garage 1/2 mile then hit that Archer Road traffic then 45-50 minutes later I am home. I feed and walk my dog. I am exhausted. Chef Ami lets me put a healthy, yummy meal on the table with very little effortand in a short amount of time.

Seriously the BEST. There are a lot of imitators out there, pretenders. Chef Ami is THE REAL DEAL. Delicious food, easy to prepare.

I had been sharing my daughters Chef Ami subscription for several weeks and decided to try it out when my husband was home, but the scheduling wasnt working. Well, I thought I was too lazy to cook for myself when he isnt home so I cancelled my subscription. However, I have to eat what I had ordered prior to cancelling! Made my second meal last night and just wow! Yes, I am now going to cook for myself, with Chef Ami preps! Lovin it!
